I replied to someone’s comment with this message and figured I’d repost it to the main, public comments: Just like Russia invaded Estonia in the 40s, they continue the tradition of invading all of their neighbors.. they’re just never satisfied it seems, and will always bully smaller countries, and invade their land, steal its resources, kill anyone who opposes them, and forcefully indoctrinate the rest. Grozny, Georgia, Crimea, the Donbas (and technically they attempted to take all of Ukraine, but they quickly abandoned that plan for the time being, due to them being annihilated by Ukraine around Kiev) but they are slowly gaining ground unfortunately, and the end goal for Putin is definitely to overthrow Zelenskyy and install a puppet government. I was born and raised in the United States, in New York. But my great grandma (Oma) was forced to flee Estonia when the Soviets invaded. She was haunted and traumatized by the things she witnessed, and she always had night terrors about war, and I’d always hear her crying and screaming in fear, in her sleep due to the nightmares. Now, I don’t only condemn Russia for the atrocities they are currently committing in Ukraine. I condemn my own government for all of the wars they cause as well. I’m so tired of these world “leaders” having pissing matches and starting wars that WE have to endure!
