The North Korean leader has been feverishly preparing for war for decades. Russia was caught unprepared for war because Putin (rather foolishly) thought he could successfully negotiate with the Americans and persuade them not to attempt to expand NATO eastward onto his doorstep. If NATO insists on expanding eastward Putin (or his successor) will have to either surrender the Russian Federation to the west or else use nuclear weapons, because NATO is vastly superior to Russia in conventional arms, and especially with its airforce.
