Oh boy, what a crazy build! I can't wait to see how things go for these Wisconsin boys and this darn Honder. Anyhow, if you don't want to wait til Wednesday for your next hit of Andy and Dakotta, ASM has their own RU-vid channel! ASMotorsports or youtube.com/@andysmede
This channel is becoming one of the most technical and enjoyable channels on RU-vid. I’m so glad people are taking the time to show the ins and outs of their builds and not just slapping parts on with little explanation.
absolutely same! I usually never watch automotive-youtube, except for stanceworks. but these guys won me over with the way they explain and show the stuff they are doing
And their videography, editing, and pacing of their episodes is outstanding. VERY enjoyable channel. I do kinda miss the earlier days when it seemed a bit more homegrown, but I'm super happy for their success. :)
Andy at ASM is an amazingly good person. Him and his dad were my 5th grade basketball coach, still remember some of the lessons he taught me when he was a kid only a few years older than I was.
It’s kinda wild that in every video featuring Andy there’s at least one comment about someone who’s met him before when he was in some different random profession or scenario but the common thread is always that he’s a nice guy whatever he may be doing 😌
ASM just bought my old s2000 that someone ran into a tire wall end of last season. Its super funny because Jackie’s s2000 is the car that inspired me to build it, and now they are both at ASM together. It seems fitting haha. Great build guys, I cannot wait to see this car back on the road. It has such a fun history!
They are totally correct in saying that people who haven't done engine swaps assume it's all bolting stuff on, but are completely unaware of the fabrication aspect of the swap. Awesome work from the boys at ASM!
After see jackie ding drive the hell out of this car (and in a really good way) it's so nice see that Ben gonna give it all the care that that he deserves 👌
I mean this in the most honest way possible. I want to do exactly what Andy does for a living. I always love watching videos when you work with him. To be able to do what he does and make a healthy living would literally be my dream.
@@ASMotorsports Amen, makes total sense. I’m a hard worker. I hate having to identify with people from my own generation. People always assume I’m lazy. Any sort of specific things I can do or direction you can give?
I recently discovered this channel of automotive entertainment gold. So pumped that y'all are producing epic videos, thank you for all of the hard work every one of you puts into making these inspiring, entertaining, and awesome videos. 👏🤜🤛
Man shout out to asm and the crew members. The dude helping out is always happy and smiling man. That's the kind of person I want working on my car. Someone who is enjoying the work. Greta video as always gasoline.
Really awesome! I don’t miss any video of your Channel. Could be sick in a futur to see a full rotisserie build or tubular chassie build. Keep pushing guys.
Love this channel so much for the content and production style! You guys make this look and feel like something you dont want to miss. The jazz makes it feel like gran turismo too haha love it!!!!
I have a s2k and there’s barely any s2k content on RU-vid so this video is gold for me 🔥 and also love the attention to detail on the engine rebuild makes me wanna rebuild mine
Andy and ASM are tops.....they built my LS converted to K-swap s2k with a Prayoonto built 9000rpm K24 motor 4 or 5 years ago. Couldn't be happier with my S2K as she sits now
Giant oil pan means you will take that much more longer to reach operating temp before you can safely reach 10,000 rpm. This engine will die early, if temp rev limit is not in ECU. RX-8 gen 2 has it after learning from gen 1 failure on crank. Reduce oil pan, add in oil cooler with thermostat and and drain valve for easier oil changes.
That intro was incredible. Music is on point. I love the channel direction, you’re becoming one of my favorite channels. I get just as excited to see your videos as Mighty Car Mods, Adam LZ, and Jimmy Oakes
now after then mounted into the engine bay body reparation its still needed, i know sounds rude. but dude look that car, even with the beast heart that car still look awfull if the chassis still worn like that. Thanks for the vibe and the video i enjoy so much
Would love to see you guys do a tribute to Ken Block and build your own version of an M-Sport Fiesta or Focus RS. That would be an awesome series and complementary addition to your fleet.
Easy? 🤨 the Japanese tuner scene has been trying HARD to rev this high since the 90s with the B series and then the F & K series. It’s not easy. To “safely” rev to 10k you have to build the motor to rev to what…? 11k? 12k? And then DeTune it down to a useable 10k?
How is Andy going hard with the drip NOT the thumbnail? I know it's a touch clickbait... but 10,000 RPM in an S2000 is the definition of doing rad stuff for the clicks
