I like Corvairs, especially the later year body style. I did not know that it has the same wheelbase as an S-10 truck. The aftermarket is very supportive of S-10s so modifying it further for performance should be pretty easy.
DUDE! What an absolute journey. Seriously amazing how much work you put into this. It's actually impressive how fast you got it done too, even if it took 14X as long as you thought it would. It would take many people years to do this. Ask me how I know. Someone told me that when you start a project like this, you have to be optimistic and underestimate how long it will take. Otherwise, the project will seem too huge and you'll never get started. It looked badass at the car show. Very unique. Truly awesome work!
@@pissedoffpistongarage please make a video of it. First Time watching your channel....excellent. who's the band playing the music. I like it. Thanks for the video
@@kensendlosky7438 I would like to take it to vintage torque fest down in I believe Dubuque Iowa. However my local dirt track has minivans that go out between races to pack down the track. I would like to volunteer to be one of those people but use this car instead. I think the audience would get a big kick out of seeing a vintage looking race car going around the track. As far as the music goes I’m not sure. I used an array of different songs. Thank you for the kind words!
been watching this build for quite sometime.really like this car.i hope you will continue to do more things to it .it's cool the way it is .but I'd love to see it painted.hope you enjoy taking it to car shows .I bet it's a real hit with everyone.
He wants to get the stance of his creation right the gentleman did not do all that hard work not to pull it off all respect 🙏 the job is never done till it's done 💯 that's some serious work you build one hell of a rod thank you for sharing 🙏 all respect.
Oliver! Such a great vision and to take it to completion in such a short time, 2 1/2 weeks or 9 months, you stuck to it and got it to a car show! Very proud of you, turned out awesome! This video must have taken a lot of time to put together, great job on this too! Now back to work on the other 69! LOL
Wow, amazing work! I love ingenuity like this: take the seemingly impossible and make it possible. This channel is underrated. You have my subscription!
What a brilliant wee thing. I love Corvairs - such a great big greenhouse, such sweet clean lines - and to drop one on an S-10 chassis is a special kind of mad genius. Well done, you. Long may she run.
So you're only twenty-three years old. That makes it even greater. It's fantastic to see people younger that still have an appreciation for these older cars. You know floor boarding is what they used to call it. I know a guy I'd been doing it for forty years or more. He set a little car from the thirties onto a Dodge Dakota pickup frame. He used the floor boards firewall something long lines what you did. Cut up the rest of the pickup to make adapting panels for the body to the frame. Left it looking kind of rough and painted a number on the side because we all know a race car is supposed to look a little rough. That man is far older than I am and he still at it. You are carrying on a great tradition.
Thank you! This is something that I had been planning for literal years. I feel that if I had gone into it with no preparation I would not be where I am with it. I probably wouldn’t have even finished it. I hope to inspire other young people as well.
@@pissedoffpistongarage I believe the car hobby will change over the next few decades. It has to be cuz there's not really any rear wheel drive vehicles except for trucks left on the market to speak of. But I think that the car have is a great way for people to grow and to come together
Really enjoyed the video car looks good man 😎, music was nice too 👍. Reminded me of working on my own stuff, I put a 66 elcamino on a 4x4 blazer, had to cut 10" out of the middle and quite a bit of metal work to get the body low on the frame, replace floors, etc. separated the box like a pickup so it would not crack the body. A simple roll cage would also fix the problem since truck frames are like spaghetti. Working on a way easier resto mod 72 Chevelle now, so far it's been a breeze not having to fabricate much of anything besides fixing a bit of rust and throwing parts at it😆 Anyway, nice work man.
Great montage seen a lot of stuff I haven’t noticed before great video awesome work hope your daily driving it !!! Enjoy it you deserve it hope we can see you doing another build what’s next?? 👍🏻as always
She is my daily driver for sure! I am still working on this as I go. Some big things are coming soon with it. As far as the next project that is a secret 😉
Well done lads jeez what a job and end result! Love Corsairs and will forgive them their chequered safety history just on the look and shape of them. Blessings from England.
Awesome Job! The only thing I would have done different is would be to move the factory gas door to the rear quarter, really make someone think. Though the filler you installed is cool looking too.
Personally I like the one I added. However a lot of people have been telling me to patch the one on the fender. But I think it’s kind of cool having it there. It would actually be cool to turn that into the air intake!
Love how you did this. late 60's Corvairs are cool. Please paint it though. It's come this far. Love the car, hate patina. But the way this car was put together is genius. Love this. I was thinking of doing something similar with my 57 Chevy because my frame is bad. But there would be welding to do on the S10 frame. You did great on this!
Thank you! This is definitely something I didn’t think would ever happen and would remain a dream. But here we are over a year later and it is my reliable daily driver!
Man, back in the late 80s i almost bought a 55 studebaker champion , but passed because the underside was beyond hope. The guy said i could have it for $25.00, but what could i do with it? Ah, if only id known you guys!!! 👍👍👍😉 Awesome job
My family had a few Corvairs over the years. My brother would always replace te taillight lenses with '56 Chevy. Look great. I have an S10, now I just need a body...
Thank you! I’m glad I could help inspire you! Your project sounds cool too! Are you making any videos on it? I’m sure people would find it interesting.

awesome job, I love those s10, very easy to work on it and is still cheap to get a decent one, I had a couple ones, the Isuzu hombre version, the GMC Sonoma, and the s10 itself, awesome details in the body swap ! , planning to do something similar, your video gives me a lot of ideas.
