Great Progress and we LOVE the Camera View near the Bucket ! Another Truck Rescue - NO Problems at all ! Golfers watching You - more Interesting indeed ! Robots even taking over Golf - ha-ha ! Looking forward to Part 3 ! More Playing in the Mud ! Many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Well , I’ve spotted a golf ball in the mud on camera, so when do think we’ll see a remote control golf bag being dredged out? Any guesses, it might become like finding balloons in the woods; golf bags in golf course ponds!!!!!😂 nice work gentlemen, always quality, thanks for the ride along Chris, enjoyed it.
I had to dredge our creek out one year and the opportunity to operate a long reach, it was a blast loved it, loaded 365 trucks with touching a sideboard
When a bucket of mud comes out with just a hint of a golf ball showing, it's very erie.🤗 That long reach is definitely a game changer when it comes to clearing out ponds and river banks.
Nice work Chris!! You had some excellent camera angles. The one that was across the pond pointed at the excavator & truck was sobering just how far you can reach and the swing you need to fill the truck up. That soil covers a fair distance from scoop to dump into the truck!! Nice work!! As usual, you two know each other so well when something like John getting stuck happens, you jump into the other machine, he doesn’t even have to get out of the haul truck and then you and he work your magic while mired in 4 ft of almost impossible wet clay. Out comes the truck and the day goes on. It’s this steady and dogged determination that is why the two of you can move soooo much in a day!! You just get it done!! This is nothing new to you to hear of course, but I think it’s worth saying regardless!!! Awesome teamwork fellas!!
I love watching the long arm reach bucket. You rarely use it but (like this job) it was the right and probably the only tool for the job. Put em' on the schedule for a re-dredge in 2030!
Hey Chris. You did a great job with that camera angle from on the boom . You're constantly one of the top 3 people I watch on RU-vid . I don't have cable or anything because RU-vid is that for me. Look forward nightly to relax and watch you daily upload . So Thank You Sir
Chris, can you try harder when you have gold ball spotting cam on the arm/bucket on these jobs. I was all ready to count the number of lake balls and didnt see any. Nice goopy mud clearance. Glad to see the dump truck taking it for the team.
You needed to put cam on the dipper boom and then tee up a ball in the mud and try pitching it up on the green. Its amazing how much dirt you can more when you don't have to move mats and equipment.
What really impresses me is how smooth Chris is when loading the truck. His transition from near to far while changing elevation of the bucket in a 90 degree swing is just so smooth. He always places the bucket right where he needs and right at the end of the swing without any extra adjustments. This with a long reach! Folks, this is not easy and sometimes you may notice he’s not even looking. Real talent indeed.
Real muddy job but the long reach and the haul truck with a tail board are making it look easy until the truck gets stuck on the other side great video thanks Chris and John
Second day, mud dried out a bit after you lowered the water with the drainage ditch you made the first day so it isn't as runny after you got around the corner.
Sloppy mud. Truck stuck always sucks, good thing it was not raining. Reminds me of Caddyshack, cheating at golf. Golfbag with a portable bar and boombox stereo move over, now we have the come along caddy.
What Chris does is easy. All you need is incredible skill operating those machines, a lot of experience planning the next 10, 100, 1000 .... moves, and the patience of a saint. 🤪
That last shot of the pit where you're spreading it around reminding me when I was a kid watching Tarzan movies the quicksand that would have been a perfect movie shot for it cuz the quicksand always you sink in and never got out
What an improvement and you aren't done yet. Watching the footage from the boom took me back to my uncle's farm and dealing with cow manure. He had a front loader on his tractor and he'd scoop that stuff up and dump it into his holding tank. Looked & sounded just like that!🤣When you talked about the golf bag, didn't have a clue what you meant until the damn gold bag moved on its own! That really made me laugh. Thanks for sharing this. You are fun to watch.
I was wondering if they closed that hole on the course while y’all were dredging. Guess not….? I’m not great at golf but something like a long reach sitting by the pond would surely get hit, accidentally of course, lol. Those golf balls are finally getting a proper burial 😂
Chris that is a great camera shot off the arm of that excavator dipping into that muck is well that's some real organic soup the only thing better would be if it was summer and 100° that would really stink
Yesterday you mentioned how long it had been since you last dredged that pond. That is an incredible amount of sediment. 10 more year's it would've been part of the fairway 😆. That's crazy
That pipe has a lot of drainage running into it from the golf course also. Depending on the course they might topdress the fairways which adds to the sand, but you also have organic matter like grass clippings, leafs, acorns etc that help add to the pond. They most likely blow the leaves right into the pond unfortunately
@@sharonmiller6436 yea it's not pure sand hence it's not drying quick or at all really for the most part. I have 20 years as a superintendent for a private golf course but many more working when I was young and I've never seen a mostly sand silt in golf course ponds. The deepest pond on a golf course was 60 to 70 feet that I've seen butthat was a rock quarry so it was already dug then sold and someone made a course. Moster Bass and catfish were in that pond, we fished all the time in the mornings and dusk
Just curious Chris, when you mount the camera on your boom or under carriage, can you see the image on a device in the cab at the same time? Or do you see it for the first time when you do your edits? Fascinating view, I feel like I need to hold on to something!
I am not a GoPro user, but I had seen that done a while back for a rifle mounted GoPro. That’s why I asked. I went back to the person I know that had done it. I was told that most GoPros in the last several years have Bluetooth capability; connect that to most smart phones and you can seen the screen with just a slight delay. In addition, you can make most adjustments remotely to the GoPro that you can do directly. Not sure if Chris makes use of the function or not.
Another great video involving the long reach bro. I wounder if any golfer is dumb enough to try and walk on the new sand bunkers before they are fenced off. Safe travels.
I remember the last time you did this pond with the rental. It’s great to see you owning the long reach to be more versatile. That newer haul truck is a plus too.
Now that's a great idea for a Christmas gift for two golf mad family member - will give them a picture of one! As we do not generally see the gradual displacement of soil day-by-day, it is amazing how much accumulates in one place after a couple of years. Good thing Uncle John and LetsDig18 are on hand to remove it.
I can just bet it was cold,, we had 40F this morning here in N. Fla. Weatherman is saying cold, ice, snow for the SE next week for Xmas. I saw a golf ball @ 15:15. That is a lot of silt to dig to make a 2 ft. deep pond 6 ft. deep.
Hmm, the camera on the boom just above the bucket scooping goop made me think what an awesome an awesome episode of NCIS or similar show this pond series would be. Chris takes a scoop and there's a Navy enlisted or officers body in a broken black plastic bag so Uncle John has to call in the NCIS team. Then they find more bodies in black plastic bags in the dump pit and the rest of the goop he's gotta excavate. Our intrepid team of Chris and John become Hollywood guest stars of a two episode series. boosting Chris's sub number over 2 million. Anyways, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Chris, his Uncle John and their families.
I was going to say that it is surprising how much mud you have moved in so short of time with a comparatively small bucket, but I'm guessing that some of it is because you don't need to transfer it so much, and you don't have the slow process of moving mats. So the long reach is more beneficial than I first realised.
🤣I was just about to mention that they must have really good golfers at that course because I was not seeing any golf balls. Then the very next scoop there were two of them.
My insurance guy would have a freak fit. They’d demand all sorts of fencing, safety tape, not to mention silt fencing and mud batts everywhere. I can see someone/something walking out on the trench.
Hi Chris how much different is it operating the long reach then your 220. Enjoying your videos and thanks for sharing with me. Be safe out there and enjoy your evening your the best
Hey Chris do you wish you had the tailtgate on the haul truck sooner? With the long reach will it allow you guys to dredge out more yardage for same cost vs the yardage without?
