Awesome video, such a shame about your hand hope it recovers soon. Next year will be your year just keep up the hard work and the open will be yours! #questfortheopen2017
saw a one handed video on putting on RU-vid which was to find which hand was dominant, since using one handed putting, mine is righthand, my putting has improved massively and virtually stopped my bad shot , the pull, awesome video Pete hope hand feeling better!
Wow. This video really changed the way I think of putting. I've never seen such an insightful video on putting, made me understand that putting really is science! Fantastic stuff Pete, thanks to you and Andy! Made me want to take a putting lesson..
It's comforting to see Peter struggle to make instant change with coaching. I left my swing lesson feeling like an idiot who can't follow instructions because I couldn't break the habits I have.
Really insightful video. Its such an important part of the game yet it seems until now a part of the game not many people have put much time into so its going to be great to see all the videos about how your putter stroke changes which will also help all of us that may have issues with putting like myself. Thanks again Peter!!!
Great vid as usual. Need to work on the follow through myself. I have the same long follow through on my putting. Could be why I am a terrible putter. Thanks Pete
Really interesting vid Pete, Im curious as to why he really focused on the swing after impact needing shortening I would have thought that this would happen naturally if you lengthen the back swing and speed the back swing up a little, if you kept the long follow through then the ball would just go miles too far. So with some good practice on the length/speed of the back swing Speith style (2000 putts lol) you will automatically fix the long follow through. I may well be wide of the mark here it just seems logical to me rather than getting you to focus mainly on follow through?
it was more the follow through was symptomatic of a slow backswing and trying the help the ball to the hole, making the through stroke a little more abbreviated should help with that
I liked this video particularly the work you did on the basis of the results. Given the amount of "maths" claimed to be used analysing only 5 putts, with no dispersion (of path, face, impact point, dynamic loft) analysis only gut feel, no actual distribution or standard deviation analysis, I'm sure there is plenty enough processor power in order to give a much clearer picture - especially if your sample set was a lot bigger (minimum 30 putts) Don't get me wrong I think this is good, but I think it could be so much better!
I had no idea that there are so many different factors in a simple putting stroke.....well dissected. I have always been a "wristy" putter and when I tried "locking" my wrists and swinging from the shoulders, I felt like I am holding a lump of 4x2 in my hands with no feeling at all. Do I need to just persevere until I get that feeling? or is there something else I should try? Great video.
Really really awesome video Pete. Really enjoying this series. Thanks very much for always giving us unique and interesting videos on this game we all love (and hate. And love 😂)
