I wonder what kinds of ancient viruses bacteria and fungi are lurking in there. Or like what kind of preserved ice age man is stuck in the piece directly adjacent to this chunk. 😂
Bubonic plague is a type of infection caused by the Yersinia pestis (Y. pestis) bacterium which is spread mostly by fleas on rodents and other animals. Humans who are bitten by the fleas then can come down with plague.

@@acesinger6092 because it generally is. Why do you think glacier ice is any different than other forms of water on earth? The water in your cup right now was most likely once locked inside of a glacier. I drink glacier water all the time dude.
my brother and dad went to alaska when my brother was a kid. they were on a boat tour of the glaciers and a piece of ice fell on the boat. the captain said, if youre thinking of touching or eating that ice, it may be the last thing you do. this is truly very dangerous to do lol i hope youre ok go to the dr though you may literally have ingested a very old bacteria of which there will be no medicine that would be engineered to help....
Well, on this earth, just imagine the water percentage as 100%. There is only 3% that we can drink. But, we only use 1% because that 2% is stuck in glaciers or just ice.
Water is a drink. Maybe the alcoholics immediately expect booze but some pop, juice and even water are all classified as drinks, too. The more you know 🌈 You're welcome.
@@ericr154 Incredible, who knew water from any toilet is considered a drink. That's gross. Please, since you solved that mystery, could you explain another one to me, for example how good luck happens and why bad luck happens especially when bad luck happens right after good luck just happened? I need a genius to help me understand how to improve my luck to being better for me.
There was a story recently about scientists who found an ancient ringworm-like parasite encased in ice, and when the ice melted, the ringworm was still alive and capable of reproduction

They serve drinks with that ice as a little fun experience on arctic cruise ships. My parents went for their 40th wedding anniversary and recorded themselves drinking booze with it lol

That's just an issue of everyday dirt and pollutants. This is preserving things lost since ancient times. Our immune system can't adapt to some of the things lurking in this ice.
