Jeep Scrambler gets its tub, drivetrain, beadlocks and more all in a 2 car garage with simple tools. We'll install a doubler kit for more gearing options, diy beadlocks, then keeping with our budget theme, we'll head to a local custom shop where the cage will be professionally welded cheaper than having to buy an expensive 220 volt machine.

Daystar Products International, Inc.: Daystar's Body Lift Kits are more than just spacer blocks placed on top of factory mounts! Instead, these are complete replacement body mounts with an additional 1" of height, which raises the body 1". Daystar's body lift kits use a special blend of Polyurethane that is resistant to vehicle fluids and road grime while keeping the body isolated from chassis noise and vibration. These mounts keep the body properly aligned with the frame and include all the necessary hardware for installation.

Essentially Off-Road: EOR offers a cage custom made to compliment the Jeep in all its different design. Whether it is a early model short wheelbase or a late model, all cages are designed to each Jeep model.

JB Conversions: The LoMax case is a nodular iron casting machined to exact tolerances taken from the original New Process drawings. Aside from the stronger nodular iron recipe, the LoMax case offers more internal ribbing and wall thickness than the original NP205. The 3:1 gear set offered in the LoMax transfer case is stronger than the original New Process gears. The tooth width is wider than stock yet the overall case dimensions are equal to stock New Process design.

Rusty's Off Road: 3" TJ long arms suspension system, with Radius Arms in front, and 4 link in the rear. Designed for increased wheel travel and more articulation. Jeep bumpers front and rear.
Throttle Down Kustoms: Custom Hybrid Frame frame with Scambler body mounts and Jeep TJ suspension.

What you have done is a pet project desire for me as I am sick and tired of the JK with all those little niggly CEL codes and electical issues and JLs are the same. Want a simple, capable machine, with AC, but as per my JK I would still maintain a DI LT Chevy engine and 8-10 speed auto. No need for the double case arrangement as 1st gear is 4.55:1. But my estimate came out to about $50k to do almost the same as yours. What was your final budget if you can say? And where does one get a major components list for the build?

@@callmesomething1425 Jeeps get beat like a dead horse being project vehicles to customize for off road use like building a 5.0L Mustang for track use. Imagine if an 84-86 CUCV M1009 Blazer benefitting from some attention, or some other hardly used vehicle. It’d make for a nice change of pace

Why do all these build shows do a "small 2-car garage" build when obviously they are using way more space? Really, a frame, a body, an engine, a transmission, a transfer case, front and rear axles all inside unmounted on the floor at the same time? All that, plus tool cabinets, work benches, storage racks? My 2-car garage has actual walls. Drop the dumb "garage" premise, and just show the simple, budget ways to do the stuff. Or build an actual fully-enclosed garage and do it.
