so if your really interested in continuing the story of alan wake i HIGHLY recommend playing first the DLC for Alan Wake then before getting into the game Control play Alan Wake American nightmare, its kind of this semi-selfcontained story however it establishes the main antagonist of Alan Wake 2. Then play control which has the dlc linking it to Alan Wake, then Alan wake 2

So judging by the end, Alan just needs too *Wake* up
