I participated in a local choir for a few years, and when it was time to perform, the conductor would tell us that we needed to let all our problems go before we go on to sing, because of we werent enjoying performimg, the audience wouldnt enjoy being there. He told us "you cant give something you dont have", and i feel like that's a simple, but elegant expression of your idea here. We have to be selfish enough to build ourselves up and generous enough to give when we have extra
im going through this rn. exiting my first serious relationship and standing up to my parents more because i noticed i was so lost and unable to decide formyself but i dont feel any better i feel like im making a huge mistake. im hoping with time and more self love i will make it out of this.
It is going to feel rough in the beginning, specially if you never did it before. But trust me when I say this, it gets so much better. You'll look back and thank yourself. Just keep going.
