@Julius Hall actually yes there are psychics. It's just very different for each individual. I Psychics can't make things happen or tell the future. It's not like knowing everything, reading minds and stupid things like that. It's very different than that altogether.
Nothing about the meeting with the couple could not be explained by basic cold reading techniques. One, I call the shot gun. The reader quickly recites a list of common things, searching for information. The misses are forgotten. In this case, names "Annie (miss), Anna..(hit)" The reader then asks them, "How does she connect to you?" Remember "Anna" could have been anybody either of them has ever met. Or even knows about. The girl she is talking to explains the relationship, and the reader says, "Ah..." like she knew it all along. Note that all of the info has come from the couple. We don't know how the uncle dying of brain cancer came up. Basically, cold reading is fishing for info, then acting like the info came from the spirit world. And the readings always end with "Everything is OK, they are in peace...". I'm waiting for a reading that ends, "The bastard is roasting in Hell, the problem is it's just not hot enough.".
lol, if she planted them, she picked a horrible couple. She didnt get anything...the girl had to tell her her uncle died. Russo didnt know that until after she said something.
Elizabeth Y Michael Cazares ok. Predict what is going to happen to me first thing when I wake up tomorrow ( This is the funny part where you make up some bullshit excuse as to why you can't do it.)
Average Alien hey stupid I'm a medium not a regular psychic ok look it up on google read and learn before you talk, uneducated fool who has nothing better to do than stay at home talk shit on internet and cyber bully people for fun!
James Randy has for over 5 years had a 1 million dollar reward ready to any person who (under controlled circumstanses ) can prove any psycic power. NO one seems to want that easy money, how can that be 😆😆
Alan/// The 'challenge' has been terminated. It was never real, it was just a trick by Randi to deprecate those with psychic ability. Randi is not an honest man. He is just a trickster, and his challenge was a rather successful trick.
4:08: "Who's Anna?" Classic cold reading technique. It's never "Ah. Your cousin Anna passed three years ago after a fight with cancer. She forgives you for the fight over Steve in 1993 when you were in Seattle walking up Fremont Street and that blue car almost hit you." Once she seemingly hits on some details, the subjects begin to offer up information. They later recall that the "psychic" came up with far more of it than she actually did. With just a little practice, anyone can do what she does. Anyone. Zero psychic ability required.
I live in nyc where there is a large Italian population. I work in midtown and I’ve weirdly noticed all the psychic and mind reading shops are run by women who have heavy Italian American accents and look like her or like they’re from Jersey Shore. Also a lot of them come into my job all the time spending tons of money on crap with their money I assume they’re scamming from all these people.
'...sometimes she got close...' "Do you have a sister...a Shhh...Schhh..?" "Oh, Sandra...". Yep, Shhhh and S are really close. Would be close if she stopped effing around and just asked if he had a sister called Sandra.
The Long Island Medium is obviously a cold reader. She asked if the person died "tragically". As opposed to what? Joyfully? And the other medium did not get the name right, her first guess was wrong, and then she started with the "Sh" sound. The interviewer provided the name.
As allowed to passing in their sleep??? That is not a tragic death. And the term cold reading is so over used. If you don't believe, don't click on a video just to be negative and try to ruin it for those who do believe.
Ryan Beaver I've seen her do what I call "expanding the meanings of words" if she is wrong. In one case, she said someone had died young. The person being read said, no , the person died in their late 80's. So, she said that young can mean any age, as long as you weren't completely prepared. Again, she said *young can mean any age.* Basic cold reading technique. I think lying to people and ripping them off like she does is negative. If you believe her, you are being deluded. You don't think that's negative? I think what I am doing is positive.
Ryan Beaver It might be overused, but it's not inaccurate. I genuinely believe some people truly do have the gift, but mediums like this usually don't. Either they don't have the gift at all, or they greatly exaggerate their abilities. No psychic is ever 100% accurate, but this lady was blindly guessing, and quite poorly at that. They ask very general and blatantly obvious questions, and let your mind fill in the blanks and jump to conclusions. That's cold reading, and it is what most psychics do.
Moon/// Sez you. They have them without your approval. Cold reading is very uncertain and leads to false conclusions. You failed to mention how they really get their information -- from spirit.
I love how the interviewer leaves the possibility that she could have googled him, but what about the two strangers in the park, and I love how she admits that she would been a skeptic herself if she didn't experienced herself, and I love how she handles herself when being challenged, keep up the good work Kim you are amazing!!
She came to my city recently and visited my sister in laws work. The tv show had people come in ahead of time to get information from everybody so that she could "read" them. It's all a hoax, not that I'm surprised at all.
There’s two people that I’ve met that I know have some gift of sorts: my mom and this lady that my parents would visit back in the 1990s in L.A. She would just read you, hover an egg around you crack it and read the yolk. This lady never charged anything to anybody. She warned them of a car accident that a jealous neighbor was scheming to provoke. Two weeks later, my dad was taking my cousin to LAX when the brake pedal began to feel quite odd. He quickly pulled over and saw that the vehicle was leaking brake fluid. When he took the vehicle to the mechanic, they told him that the brake line had gashes. My mom has had dreams that predicted of things to come, including the death of various family members, 9/11, high profile shootings...the list goes on. I think it’s truly a gift.
I had two readings by Kim. The first 20 yrs ago and then I had a party and had to wait a year for the next appt. she was awesome and spot on with both readings. My friends that came loved her too. So great to see her on tv now. Back then I paid $45 for each reading. The first was 30 minutes and the second was 45.
So, something I find kind of fishy is that the girl who was apparently "visiting from Ohio" had a slight Long Island accent. I'm from Ohio, and I sure don't sound like that lol
@@skoomacat13 The funniest part of that is, that as a Canadian, I can tell you our accents are different depending on what part of the country you're from. They'll have to be more specific on what "sounding Canadian" means. 🤣🤣🤣
You ask her to come to a famous place, you don't think she'd do some research ahead of time? Why not askher to meet her a at a place and then take her to a remote haunted/unhaunted place and ask her if she senses anythign?
but she does just that...unfamiliar place and she senses everything...why dont u watch all her shows...if you had been fooled before, too bad...i believe she's the real deal...
she googled him and told those two teens to go sit on a bench. She made sure that she will recognize them so she made sure they will make up like that. Oor she is a real medium.
I don't know that there are real mediums. However sometimes I think some people make themselves to be too important that they believe those people would spend time googling them. As for the folks with the more developed abilities, I believe it's the same old human ego thing for some of them. Have a little piece of developed ability and all of a sudden letting weak humans adoration get to your head. I blieve there may be others with the most developed abilities but choose to remain anonymous and doing wonderful work. P. S. Not to say those who put themselves out there are not doing wonderful work or are they not genuine. It's just that once you let the little ego get too large you may become oblivious to the fact that we are fallible and that showcasing may somewhat cause our downfall.
Been there, done that. In my mind, the most important thing is having a genuine desire to help people and finding what works best for you when trying to do that.
The common thing I'm seeing when reporters put mediums "to the test" is that they don't Google themselves before the interview. Why not do it before, and then push for answers on things that don't appear on your Wikipedia page. They dedicate a couple of minutes to this person and then google themselves and immediately go "well...it was on my page so it must be fake!" Case closed. That's not the way to actually investigate something. Why bother doing the interview in the first place if you're just going to dismiss it using a page that you should have looked at beforehand. This is just to fill air time.
I pity the journalists and T.V. personalities who have to do these kinds of stories knowing it's bunk. Credit to him for basically calling it out as bunk while toeing the company line.
Boy cries wolf. You check it out. No wolf. Boy cries wolf again. You check it out. No wolf. Boy cries wolf again. You check it out. No wolf. Boy cries wolf again. You tell him you doubt his story. He insists he's telling the truth, so you investigate anyway. No wolf. You investigate further. No wolf tracks. No scat. No sign at all. Boy cries wolf over and over and over again. You investigate further and further and further each time. You search for other witnesses, but find none. You place traps, but catch nothing. You leave live bait, but the live bait remains untouched. You place security cameras, but catch no footage. At what point do *you* suggest it's reasonable to conclude that there's almost certainly no wolf, and that the stories of the boy who cried wolf are no longer worth taking seriously without him providing some good evidence? 100 times? 1,000 times? 1 million times?
And just how many leading questions did she ask? Like "did anyone die?" or "did you lose a loved one?" Just how much information did you give her instead of just answering yes or no? And the way that you reacted can tell a person a lot without you even saying a word.
@@ackman3981 actually, she didn't ask any leading questions. She told me things instead of asking. She said that my grandmother was coming through. And she said she was saying that the memorial tattoo I got for her was a sweet gesture, but LEAVE IT ALONE and stop adding to it. That's something my grandma would've said because she wasn't the biggest fan of tattoos...but the best part was that nobody can see that tattoo except for me because it's in a hidden spot that is ALWAYS covered. There's no other way she could've know about it. And she brought up some things that were going on in my life that I hadn't discussed with ANYONE. And it wasn't anything generic. She was very specific.
@@feleciawhittington4054 - if you believe her, fine, but she has been shown numerous times how she has failed and asks leading questions. Then keeps grasping for straws in order to get a positive responses eventually. Just how many grandmothers are fans of tattoos? Chances are she was alive when tattoos where not an "in thing" as they are now. It not that hard to come up with the "reading" on that.
Hi my name is Letty and I love Kim Russo because she's very respectful and she's very touching when it comes to wanting to understand supernatural or humanity and also I am druid Greenwich and I'm actually an empath myself. There are some things that we can't explain. Pretty much you have to see it to believe it. I do believe Kim is definitely real as possible. What I love about her is she wants to communicate between the supernatural and the humanity and solve the mystery. She helps others because she has a heart that cares. I'm not a really big fan on Teresa. Because it seems like the fame got to her and she's too hyperactive and I have a feeling that half of her stuff is true and half of it isn't. I wish someday that I can actually meet Kim Russo. Because I would love to know some things.
Same. I’ve seen dead people. I don’t pick and choose who I see or when I see them. I have no control over it. No I don’t have mental issues. No I don’t touch drugs or alcohol.
I called 2 different “professional” psychics and paid them both for one of them to tell me I was gonna have 5 kids and the other one tell me I will have 2 kids and one adopted 🤦♂️
I have been read by mediums that did not know me.... and they did not provide family names but they did provide accurate descriptions. They have also keyed in on health issues I've had. Those are pieces of personal information that they had NO way of knowing. My family members have come through.... It is real... We are all Energy.... when our body dies the energy from the body does not go away - it simply changes form.... energy can neither be created nor destroyed.... it simply changes form
I do think it's real but I do think people over exaggerate it. I'm a beginner medium and I can truthfully say it's real. Depending on the person. For me, it's all in my head and getting senses, smells, sounds, words, photos and videos playing in my head that I put in words and describe it to the client. I've done animals and people that have been bang on with not even a name. I can see very detailed things that spirit is making me see. For sure it's real
I still don't know how to feel. My friend had some girls over and one of her friends didn't take money ever but she had a gift or luck. she was telling me specific tasks I had in my phone including wanting to write a childres book, matching dresses for photos (me & my daughter), my stomach ulcers (which I didn't have insurance but found out I had like a year later)(just some stuff I don't share with anyone) and that I was a panda for Halloween. she never met me b4. she told me that my daughter's father was going to lose custudy time (I didn't believe that at all bc there was no reason at the time for him to have time taken) and he went for 50/50 and left with having his Tuesday overnights & Sunday to Monday taken. I was scared bc I remembered what she told me and I had no choice but to believe. also, she told the oldest daughter of my friend (my friend didn't have a reading) that her grand pop was going to be in the hospital for a serious heart issue in the next few days, but will survive. No joke, I get a text from my friend like 3 days later... her dad had a heart attack. We both were speechless. She also knew something very specific & personal I won't share & I was a bit embarrassed she knew my secret. I dont believe a lot of those people, but I believe in this woman. what she told me sounded nothing like those people guessing on tv.
She officially has that gift from God. She is real 💯% Officially gifted to be able to communicate with the dead. & their are more in the world that has that type of gift as well🤷🏽♀️👌🏽
The receiving and giving of energy is obviously very real. I don’t know if she’s truly “psychic” or not, but I do believe that there are people who are more intuitive than most. So I just say “why not”
The way she stopped to try to remember the name "Diane" was like she had already memorized that name from googleing him and was trying to remember it again
but Anna is a really general name. take for me. one of my friends is named Anna. my mothers second name, my neigboor is named Anne Marie. one of my ex classmates is named Anne.
It was a fair assessment. She’s a genuine psychic she just wasn’t interpreting her info correctly. That happens when ur doing a cold reading And aren’t grounded.
I’m not skeptical about spirits, life after death, or being able to know about things that have happened in the past. I do have mixed feelings about persons who are truly gifted in the paranormal shouldn’t charging a fee for using their abilities.
Ima just say this. I believe that ppl who’s re able to speak to the dead should not be doing shows like some of these mediums do. It’s a gift that should be sacred
I went to a "dentist to the stars" in Honolulu. After treatment, two of the gorgeous female attendants massaged my neck, temples and hands. It felt kind of creepy.
Kim is likable, and certainly miles above that 'other' network psychic, there's just one thing that bothers me, and I wonder if anyone else has noticed. A large number of the celebrities who appear on Kim's show, have already told their tales in detail when they appeared on 'Celebrity Ghost Stories' a few years ago.
Well obviously. Her show is a *spin-off* of "Celebrity ghost stories," both shows are from the Lifetime Movie network. LMN intentionally bring these celebrities back to visit the place of their experience. That's why they include footage *from* "celebrity ghost stories" on the spin-off "the haunting of..." at the beginning, to acquaint viewers with the celebrity's experience before Kim's investigation begins. Kim claims not to watch 'Celebrity Ghost stories' but it's irrelevant anyway. Her purpose isn't to guess what happened to them; it's to explain *why* it happened. Usually the experience's these celebrities claimed to have had were related to whatever was happening to them in their personal life at the time.
Me Myself and I I see what you're saying, but she really doesn't tell them anything they haven't already volunteered - or that isn't readily available online or in Celebrity Ghost Stories.
Yeah, other than the occasional newspaper clipping meant to "verify" her claims and the personal family details that the celebrities seem to validate (possibly for a fee). It's hard to trust anything presented through deceptive television media outlets, no doubt. Skepticism is a healthy (and pragmatic) approach. But I agree, Kim's likable. Classy and respectable--not obnoxious like some others out there. That's why it's fun to watch her. I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for entertainment value :)
Me Myself and I I admit to finding her entertaining - and likable too. In my opinion, she the best of the lot. ; ) I just saw one episode of that teenage boy in Hollywood (whose name escapes me) have you seen him?
She using the old James, Jimmy routine..She is just like any other so called Mediumout there.People will always seek answers they want to hearall the time were scared of the dark.
I belong to the indigenous mountain tribe of the Cordillera region of the Philippines called Igorot. Each sub-tribes have their own medicine men who are also the high priest called mambunong and they possess supernatural powers that can't be explained through words that one must witness it in order to see their actual powers. An example was when the mambunong of my sub-tribe of the Ibaloi diagnosed my dad of heart disease by touching my dad's chest plus the mambunong claimed that he sensed that my dad had high blood sugar. The mambunong never meet my dad prior to diagnosing him. My dad offered the mambunong some donations in monetary form but he refused because the spirits will get angry and will take his ability back they bestowed upon him if he accepted any donations in any kind money or material possessions. My dad was not a complete believer of such things in spite of him belonging to the tribe. Years later, the Doctor diagnosed my dad with heart disease and high blood sugar that corresponded with the mambunong's claims. In this case of the paranormal, supernatural, psychic and the like, I am a skeptic because unlike the shaman of the tribe not only my people but Indigenous tribes around the world ( I witnessed some foreign beliefs in connection to the supernatural) they make their abilities into business or for fame and one can't help to question if it is for real.
How was she able to use her abilities so accurately and good on that couple sitting on the bench, but not on the bald dude. Just my speculation but I believe she hired them as an alibi and did what ever reseach she can to learn about the bald guy. That's why she couldn't get a good read on the bald guy.
Jay M. do you believe in sky grandpa?? somethings telling me you believe in sky grandpa ✨😝 i mean its not hard to respect others beliefs but if u bash mine im gonna bash whatever tf yours are like your mom bashed your head as a peanut ass child✝️💘☺️
I don't know if it is Psychic power but I am an Igorot a tribe from the mountain region of Cordillera, Philippines. We have a medicine man or high priest called mambunong and they are very accurate on thier predictions especially on detecting sickness/disease and if the patient seen by the mambunong first goes to a Doctor the diagnosis is very similar. The difference is the mambunongs don't seek publicity, money, recognition or most of the time the secret on how they do what they are good at.
