"Assaulting this young girl"? Oh, sweet Mega Rayquaza, they actually made Schezo even *WORSE*. And we all thought he would be censored. (Extra points for Arle calling him a creeper)
It depends. When everyone is ready to beat up one person and be like idiots he pointed out the contrary. He's always been on the fence with things. Either a total idiot or the only person of reason.
So I'm a total newbie to Puyo Puyo, but I've been playing the demo non-stop. It's absolutely addicting and I love it even more than Tetris. Definitely gonna become a fan of this franchise. I also love all the characters (Especially Amitie), they're cute and funny.
You know, the funny thing was I thought Amitie was voiced by Christina Vee (Compa) but then I realized it wasn't her. Regardless I like both voice actors, but I just mainly liked her personality.
3:35 “And... we’re here!” “Welcome, to here!” SEGA USA nailed it sometimes, in this game, let’s not deny it. And Hoo boy, does the game’s finale nail your emotions, the first few times you see it!
7:16 OH MY GOD I was at Waffle House with that guy! I saw him at Round1 and I challenged him to a few sets when I realized it was someone good at the game Wow, holy crap! Thanks for the feature!
Nearly skipped the western release because of the dub. The English dub was full of passive aggressive interns acting as teens, and I'm accustomed to the JP voices the characters have. But on the other hand, the localization is very well done and the script is surprisingly hilarious, especially the knight's part. Guess I'll just double dip
*He's Resisting? Then I Must force My Self Upon Him!!* Goddamit Schezo Is Mah Favorite in all of puyo games... Well Atleast Puyo Puyo Tetris Is More Good at translations and Voices Than *PUYO POP FEVER ENGLISH VERSION*
I have both Puyo Puyo 2 and champions and now after watching this video will nab this also! These games are way more fun then I can describe in this comment! Great review and subscribed!
Can't wait to get my copy! I've been addicted to the demo. I always loved Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on the Genesis! This is a great crossover game that brings two awesome puzzle games togtether
I'm so happy to play this game right now! After playing "Dr. R. Mean Bean Machine" for many MANY rounds, there is no need for a demo! Also, I'm normaly not that big of a Tetris-fan, but in this game, it's kinda fun. "Puyo Puyo" is the ultimate Puzzle-game for me. :D
Hey there! I'm a big fan of Tetris... Er... "Tetorisu", but I've never played Puyo Puyo before. Looking at this review and seeing it kinda focuses a bit more on the Puyo side, I'll consider buying this game and see if I have a good time. Oh, and nice [T-SPIN INTENSIFIES] and Mean Bean Machine crossover at the end there. Reminded me of that Sonic mod that apparently exists for the PC version of the game. Makes me wish Dr. Robotnik was in there too. Anyways, nice review! I hope to see you do stuff besides Puyo Puyo!
There was once a DOS game called Quirks. It was released in the US as a localized version of Puyo Puyo for PC98 and it was even endorsed by Alexey Pajitnov himself! This was probably a premonition for this crossover.
I really enjoyed this game with friends at school. We were just playing the demo and that alone we've gotten very intense matches! Of course I picked up the full game. Worth it.
Wait, the standard nowadays is just 4 colors for Puyo Puyo? I knew there was a reason to be soooooooooo bad at Mean Bean Machine while I sure can make some good rounds in a modern Puyo game.
I don't know why they didn't hire more high profile talent like Christine. She almost breaths more life into Amitie than Shiho. Also, holy heck, I did not notice the purple one was gone before.
I didn't even know this game existed, BUT I WANT IT. Also, If you don't have any IRL Puyo friends, I might fit the bill - I LOVE Puyo Puyo! (Granted, I played it as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, but it's still wicked fun!)
Hey I can't find the option to change the number of puyo colors. Is that unlockable or something? Also the option to change the pop count from 4 to something else is only available in puyo vs puyo, not puyo vs tetris or swap mode. Is that normal?
I play the demo and fall in love with puyo puyo (a think I in a puzzle phase.. not long time ago I fall in love with picross...) now I want this game... but I always get my ass kicked by the NPCs.... I fell kinda lost.... I really want to be good on this one! when a get the game I will probably get addicted @_@
It's kinda unnecessary that they have Puyo Puyo say "all clear" and Tetris say "perfect clear" because more Tetris games just call it all clear anyways... I think that the first time anything happened was in a sega Tetris game called "bloxeed" and the move was called "good bonus" but the first real time something happened was in Tetris the grandmaster and there the move was called "Bravo field clear" but it was soon renamed just "all clear" in future games... Tetris friends renamed it again to "perfect clear" and... Nobody really cared more games still use the term "all clear" and I think that's better... In Tetris effect there was a mode that was basically a harder single player big bang match and it was named "all clear" so it's pretty clear that all clear is the preferred name for that move.
I like almost everything about the game, but I feel like adventure mode is way two hard. I struggled alot against the AI in world 4 and am stuck at the end of world 5
