Hi chaps, good, informative video; thanks. In Australia, you have predominantly, loads & loads of glorious sunshine. So Solar PV stacks up in so many ways. In the UK, life is a somewhat more of a gloomy experience, especially during out seemingly never ending cloudy winters. So I have rather oversized my PV capacity to cope better with generating at least a modest amount of electricity during the cloudy winder months. I'm also currently retrofitting a battery system now. On the subject of wind turbines; I take your point about the capital & installation costs of wind turbines. However I reside in a country with less solar radiation & more breeze than the typical aussie might enjoy. You ask for suggestions about potential future videos. Could I request that you do one on installing a small (even a micro) wind turbine, with a an additional small dedicated inverter, that can be installed to supplement an existing PV system please. These days a very small cheapy wind turbine can be purchased for around £200 & a small inverter for £100. How to set-up & wire that setup into the existing PV system would be both interesting & very helpful. I'm sure that the wind blows a fair bit in Australia also & that small wind generation would assist the main PV during the hours of darkness. A suggestion for you. Life Cycles vs DOD ..... Is 70% DOD for LiFePo4 a good healthy level ? Or even 60% ?

A whole lot of money has been put into wind energy, it just turns out that bigger windmills are way more efficient then small ones, so you get a lot of money poured i to industrial off shore windmills

A 3kw solar system makes about 1kw on a sunny day in winter (nz) so how would that charge a 30kw battery? and your little generator would have to run for 10-12 hours to charge that battery, you would need at least an 10kw generator to charge a 30kw battery efficiently. Also your video shows an off grid system with 2 sunny boy inverters so it must be about 12-18kw of panels which would be a good size for off grid.
