I love these but one thing to remember: don't wiggle it around at all and keep as straight as possible otherwise the socket will be larger and ruin the repair. Also, only use a high speed drill with some power. Using a drill that is underpowered and not fast enough will make the cutting action hotter since it slows the process and makes the joint too tight. I learned this the hard way already.
Lol My take was.... If it were me, I'd be sawing away from my finger (some might say wear gloves) but either way.... I'd still be sawing away from my finger😬😏
I thought the same thing until I noticed what looks like a beveled edge on the leading round quide that looks as though it matches the beveled part of the socket itself preventing you from going deeper than necessary. I might consider getting a couple of these ( two sizes). One to correct an out of alignment tub drain I goofed up on. The other to correct a problem by a guy paid to repair a toilet drain.
If you read the spec sheet that particular glue does not need primer unless local building codes require. tchristy.com/wp-content/pdf/specsheets/RedHotBlueGlueLowVocSpecSheet.pdf
Hi! Great-Informative video. Q?: Is this tool available in size 1 1/16". Any info will help and be very much appreciated. I'm trying to convert the inside diameter of a 3/4" pvc pipe to 1 1/16". Thank you in advance!
