Pve rust is severely underrated. I love to make little cabins with a farm, sit on my porch and watch the sunrises and sunsets. You get a totally different experience and can appreciate the true beauty of this game.
i love pve servers. When i come home from a nine to ten hour work day i still have a base ;) Also love the minigames and quests some servers offer. I recently tried a hardcore pve server that has encreased hunger /thirst system, no fresh water lakes etc., tons of highly beefed up NPC´s at monuments plus npc´s roaming the map and harsh weather (all wintr map with strorms etc.) . That was some good fun and a struggle at least at the start. Also there was no tech tree and the loot from crates was highly reduced and altered (high end gear only available from raid defends- where your own base gets attacked by heavies, wave after wave ). Anyway, pve when modded can be a real challenge too. Also yay, sitting on the porch is ace and watching the sunset ;)
yeah but you sound like a flop, not good enough to greif where pvp is so u need the safety of pve to be a dog, and i can confirm if you do greif on pvp you wait until low pop and the base owners offline because you afraid of counters and 100% cannot online raid@@ducky6451
pve servers are actually fuckin lit. Like he said there is zero worries and you can just mess around with your friends. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who likes rust
Is good to see a content creator showing a pve server. Is a nice and chill experience and there also a lot for server that have like raidable bases, hard npc on some monuments so yes, is still challenging
Honestly I think a hybrid between this and pvp where you can only pvp at monuments would be pretty cool. I'm a solo player with a full time job so I never have the gear to raid anyone and hate having to be on edge all the time when mining nodes or doing scrap runs just to maintain my honeycombed 2x2. I'm very much of the belief that rust is a lifestyle rather than a game and whilst I always dreamed of retiring at 25 and playing rust for a full month or two, I've realized that's just not the career trajectory I'm currently on.
Pretty much. Rust can be fun, until you actually get a job that doesn't entail streaming or making videos of it (not hating those that do). I truly have better things to do than stay up and defend my base so I don't get offlined.
@@vladimirwinnin9662 yeah its the sad reality of rust i guess. You get back from your 9-5, jump into the queue, make yourself some food, get back to your PC to find that your base hasn't been raided today. You farm for an hour just so it can last another day, maybe get a couple scrap runs here and there and then call it a night. God forbid you log in to find that you're raided, then you'll have to live in a 2x2 until the weekend. It all got a bit monotonous and didn't allow me to explore the insane number of things you can do in the game. I full committed to fishing last wipe which was pretty relaxing even if it's not really what rust is about, I did teas the wipe before which was also pretty fun. I do usually get a bit of action but it's usually me being a filthy grub.
Same that’s my exact issue I get a base built up get it stocked with stuff and I work a full time job so some days I can’t get on and it sucks to put in hours to just log on when I can and be raided 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ but I LOVE THE GAME so much
Also want to thank you for bringing people to check out pve servers. Its awesome meeting new people and teaching them the fun side of rust vs the stress side
If any pvp player joins a pve server he will have any recipe in less then 2-3 hours since i can do whatever i want anyway I will just do some runs get all the scrap and got everything already wow whats the point if nobody stop me from processing? And dont tell me the boars are strong enemys too or bears. Maybe the " fun side " is only fun if youre a bad rust player I pref staying on the " Stress " side Pve people seems boring
Wholesome gamers are what make gaming awesome. Shout out to this server for everyone just being awesome people ❤ it was really nice to see everyone being helpful.
Love the vid man! I occasionally play on a PVE server called Luminia, it is truly wild, custom map with a refined version in the works, custom bosses and dungeons. Might be worth a Brit review 😂
Great video, well done! Really enjoyed it. It's been a couple of years the last time I played Rust actively, but the way you just play and show different kind of servers is a beauty in itself. Makes me want to play it - I actually just started Rust to try out this server. Thanks Brit! :D
Love the vid. It's refreshing seeing different ways to enjoy the game. I'm on a server right now that reminded me of something you would play. It's tugboats only, no building whatsoever. And the map was custom made for tugboats to go throughout
dont know if anyone mentioned it but "forwardslash remove" usually activates remove tool when you are on servers with no buildingg damage. also lets you pick up every deployable without added damage.
@@soappygoodness i would be really happy if you joined my pve sever im trying to get players but it doesnt really happen reply if you would want to play on it :D
Kind of specific, but thank you for having a 1440p at 60fps option. You're one of the only rust youtubers that does and it makes your videos look gorgeous on my 4k tv. You rock Brit!
Great vids love the content,Also on some PvE servers, not sure if the plug-in is on this server but u can also stack large boxes when u look at a placed box and right click on it, normally u can stack like 3 boxes on top of each other. A tip when taking heli focus the 2 rotors that’s where u do most of the damage, in vanilla once u take down the 2 rotors the heli goes down no matter what heath is left on the body of heli itself. Keep it up Brit ❤
You see some cool builds on pve servers that you could never pull off on regular servers. Particularly if its a no-upkeep server. A few wipes back, someone built a giant Rockem-Sockem Robots game as a base up the road from me. It was pretty impressive. Could see a few grids away.
hell yeah man, i know its like a cardinal sin to play pve on rust or whatever but i actually love it. YOU choose when the action happens which is beautiful for people that might be slightly busy enough to be able to play but also frick around and find out! haha Thanks for the video brother :)
With the brads, the blue part of the timer is it's remaining HP, you can see it dropping as you land hits on the hyper brad. Also, the XMRE you found is the hardest to make food in the game and it dropping from hyper is incredibly rare! If you want to make the cooking recipes you'll need to collect ingredients, you can do that by typing /toggledropson do be sure to craft an ingredient bag, it will make a huge difference! Lastly, if you do /town there is quests, all custom for our server, as well as lots of information as well as useful things like a recycler, car shop and farmers market.
Love the PvP grub mindset that makes you think you could cheese some stuff by following someone into the card rooms on PvE but not accept what they offer you.
Man grats for the video. I think you've lost one of the most challenging event in that server (if they've included in your wipe): the harbor cargo loading event. For a solo is one of the most challenging events on modded servers. Hope to watch you struggling with that one on this or another server. Keep going with modded servers ;)
Brit you have absolutely murdered this server lmao. They had to do an emergency wipe and its literally impossible to join without VIP (I stayed in a queue for 6 hours no cap).
Things to do on PvE servers: Build a pirate ship base with hanging banners as sales, build a light house base with searchlights on top turning on 1 by 1 to make the light go around, large base in deep ocean as close to Oil Rig as possible, public fast smelter conecting 81 furncces to a box, build a supermarket selling skinned gear.
With the current mess happening at Wildcard/Snail games it would not surprise me if Rust PvE starts getting a flood of Ark players looking for something new to scratch the itch. Loved watching this video, it reminded me of the wholesome community experience I had in Ark - pve for the win :)
Congrats!! This is one of the first PVE RUST videos that after 5min the streamers isn't talking about is this PVP., Can I PVP this? Can I PVP that? Thanks for the different activities your covering on this server. Thanks
PvE is great to get you a taste of late game. While everyone would stop you from having fun or going that far, at least on PvE, it's all about being neighbors... Until you get that one server that does a purge 24 hours before wipe. Spent 5 days setting up defenses for my home and assuming everything only to find out I never got an attempt at a raid. :-/
Pve is great for learning everything about the game with the exception of pvp tactics. You can learn all the crafting, recoil and locations, Vanilla monuments and base building techniques.
great vid! but the best part is not about this one, but the last video about this server. It started whit Brit saying: "lets play on pve server. It has 30+ people on" And just after this vid release, server is full with 80 people in queue all the time now
@brit - often on these servers there is a command that you can type in chat (/remove) to remove building blocks or items. I play on EU medium but often like to take a break on PvE servers to maintain my enjoyment of the game. Official is hard and with plenty of toxic players whereas PvE can be challenging and still enjoyable. Hope you continue with this series.
A PVE server can be good for new players, learning the game. How too build etc.. but it can also have by far more events, another type of loot, amount of gathering can vary alot. Both vanila and upto 10k X is some of the ive seen and been playing on myself. Relaxing but... having NPC's too raid your base with rockets and c4 is... heartbreaking.. Upto 20-40npc's surrounding your base... and if your base is not secured with turrets.. your base are fucked..
Just so you know with the PVE servers if you want to remove something from your base say like The Twig floor or a wall or a ceiling Etc, you need to use command /remove you will then also need wood on you because it will cost you some wood to remove it.
This ^ Or if that doesn't work, try hitting it with a Salvaged Hammer. Those are the only two methods I know of. When one doesn't work, I try the other one. 😁
Keep going with the content...very curious to your level progression!! Do a 3 hour vid I'll watch it..and I'll keep watching your progression on this PvP server..hit maximum level pleeeeese
i'm comming back to Rusty Wasteland not just to meet Brit but the guys i kinda miss Brit this Server is really adictive Active and going unlike other PvE Servers Rusty Wasteland was known a few years back for it's zomby activity and Heli events then Bradzilla came in too BUT i was a builder not a fighter but when i came back after leaving this server alone i came Back as a fighter Because on RustnChill PvE with purge days learned me how to PvP We build for 2 weeks and then we gonna raid eachother the friendly way lol
There is a huge variety of PVE servers. Harder and more npcs around or even with pvp zones, abondoned player bases and so on. I play both sides and its amazing.
The most boring thing to do, pve rust. I'd rather play something like stranded deep which is tailored to be purely pve, or even valheim heck... but pve rust? it seems very off.
PvE is full of old farts like me, who work 12/7 and have a family, who grew up with online toxicity and frenetic rytm but now just want to chill. It's obvious you'll find helpful people in this chilling envoironment. I honestly couldn't enjoy the game at all without pve server.
Yes! This! I'm an admin on this server, I configured all the helis, the brads, and a lot of the other plugins, like the skill tree, 99% of those icons are only found on our server :D

The pve servers with zombies are a little more interesting. At least there's something there to keep you on your toes aside from the usual road side scientists.
