Currently they are developing new worlds adrift ''Lost Skies'' But i feel like it don't have that soul. I really miss worlds adrift. I wish they bring back somehow.
I am thrilled to see this new mode. Everything you said at @12:40 perfectly summed up how I felt playing the game. Playing Worlds Adrift was way more intense than that serene music lead you to believe. People would just show up out of nowhere and shoot you in the face for marginally better scraps than they had, or for no reason at all. The thought of playing the game was always measured by how lucky I felt in not loosing all my shit during the session. And yep, skipping islands became a survival instinct. The internal conversation usually went like this: "Man that Island is beautiful, lets head over there. Uh oh. Is that a ship!? Damn it! Its a gorgeous island, but whoever is on that island will probably try to shoot me in the face and take what I've been working on for hours. And all I want to do is look around, collect the effing knowledge, and move on. Welp no time for that noise, I'll come back later." I stopped playing a couple months ago, the last feedback I sent before I exited the game said.. "You've effectively built a beautiful playground for bullies."
+Cobaltblue1975 "You've effectively built a beautiful playground for bullies." I don't think I could have put it better myself. I loved the idea of this game, and had no problem with "open PvP" to start with. As long as you have a few friends or even just one buddy, open PvP isn't an issue. Yet I end up playing this solo and it painted me as a target. I got to the point where I would leave my ship at max altitude flying in a large circle, then glide down to an island. Once there I would grab what I can fit on my belt and die to get back to my ship. It wasn't "Fun" it was just what I had to do. Seeing a player always gave you a knot in your gut rather than a happy feeling of 'im not alone.' However, now on the PvE server I run into people all the time! It's Great! We talk a bit, show eachother where the knowledge cashes are, wave our farewells and go on better knowing one and other. I'm also glad that after the sandwall PvP starts back up again. I like PvP, but when i WANT to fight. Thanks for the comment and the watch, I appreciate it! Hope to see you in the skies, bud!
