pvlace really tried to put gunboi in a bad light framing him as unstable and broken. and at the end of his statement he is talking bout character assassination lmao. he also tried to play the emotional card and this shows how little he cares about gunboi.

why does pvlace bring up the backstory of their entire relationship? it contributes nothing to the conversaition and it doesn't make it okay to do what he did anyway.

As someone who met Gunboi before his name was even Gunboi I definitely believe Gunboi, I met bro back in RichmondVa like 2013-2014, & we not even friends we a had a mutual homie I was around Gunboi a couple times that’s it & I can tell you his jazz playing on the keys been good & he seemed like normal chill dude.

I understand what pvlace did to gunboi, how he helped him out and shit, but credits are important in this producing game. Ever since I started watching gunboi live streams on twitch he usually starts by making midis or loops for pvlace for them to place it, but the fact that you don’t give your co producer/ friend credits and keep stealing his beats that’s a completely red flag, but turns out that pvlace is using him for his own benefit.

I "watched" both videos, and Pvlace really dances around the issues, in his response. Typically, when someone is being disingenuous, there is a convoluted explanation, addressing everything except the accusations, directly. It seems like what Pvlace is saying, is that he felt it reasonable to exclude Gunboi's official credits because of all these other things going on... Gunboi is specific, while Pvlace is talking about something else, entirely. Sounds like a bunch of meaningless explanation.

Pvlace's statement was bad. He reveals way too much personal information about Gunboi, portrays him as unstable, and never gets to the point which was just the credits none of this other shit lmao. Gunboi goes straight to facts everytime and the way he speaks always seems genuine.

Just like Harmonic Studio tried to do to me when he came to my home studio to check out a session with a rapper. In that session, he removed a cpl loops from my beat, removed a cpl notes from the bassline, then added a snare to end each verse and did a quick mix, and when they released the music video a cpl days later (a video shoot I never knew out about despite it being a collab album between me and the rapper) he had his producer tag on it with the text "produced by" on screen at the start with just his name and didn't credit me at all. He tried to play it off like the "produced by" meant "directed by", then when I tried to settle for giving him "additional production by" in the video description he declined and said he's only giving me "co-produced by" credit with him as the first-named producer

If you make music w/somebody they get credit, and percentages of the publishing; or bought out later by negotiation for their co-ownership. You shouldn't have to catch somebody not doing that to get that done. All that extra emotional history has nothing to do with no credit and/or not paying for beats they collaborate on. It's different if you are paying a session musician, but I don't think that was their arrangement. And those people make money before the recording process. Also, Germans should stay the hell out of rap.
