@@CrazyPanda688 i've been listening to their music since theyve started and i have been loving their sound ever since. with any kind of music act, (especially over a few years) theres always going to be an evolution in their sound while still retaining what makes their music THEIR music. Love this band and their growth. People always forget that if a band is around long enough to be able to change and morph their sound and progress there is a reason why! If you want a certain noise go find someone who makes it. PVRIS always has an edge. Have related to the message in their songs and this one I love! If you’re gonna be a stormcloud in the comments go elsewhere bc the vibe to this song is infectious.

There's a lot of push and pull, there's a lot of juxtaposition, and that dancing I described of organic versus inorganic, real life versus synthetic. Thats a big thing that I've been exploring visually and sonically, and I think lyricaly, too: there's a lot of push and pull between doom and joy, and hate and love. That`s always been there, but it`s definitely been embodied and explored in a lot of different ways this time around."" Pvris sound is evolving and changing and Lynn is doing music how she wants unapologetically. Even since Use Me came out Pvris has said that was the most authentic their music has been. Artists don't stay the same and they change over time. I think it's good to explore new types of sounds and it you don't like it don't listen to it. You can jam to their old stuff.

That’s what happens when you don’t have Blake Harnage influencing your work anymore He was largely responsible for the unique sound they had with white noise and AWKOHAWNOH. As soon as Blake departed, their music quality dropped off a cliff

don't agree. The style has changed a bit for sure. doesn't mean its a "step back" or "worse" in ANY way... its just a step in another direction. I honestly love this song. Also that doesnt mean she'll never do the "old style" stuff again ^^

PVRIS have become so one dimensional, over produced and generic. It is quite the fall. I was hoping being dropped from the label may have added more freedom to their sound. Hopefully in time 🤷

If we could teleport back to white noise and AWKOHAWNOH that would be great But I don’t see it happening of course because as you rightly pointed out Blake had a big part to play in their early work I’ll still come back to check out singles and new tracks, but I can’t see them ever returning to what they once were

If you pay attention to anything at all you'd see factually them LEAVING that label has given them more freedom, and this is the unique sound they chose. If it truly was generic, people like you wouldn't be so riled up.

@@57songs283 People can be riled up because of mediocrity. Their new output is truly uninspired and generic. It has been done before by much less talented artists so it is so frustrating to see a band that forged its own niche become so mainstream. I personally assumed it was the move to the mainstream label, Warner, that resulted in a pressure for them to be mass market but this was obviously not the case. They are now 'Indie' again but the output remains the same. One significant difference is the producer who made White Noise and AWKoHAWNoH departed after that album. I suspect the answer is there.

Also only people with no life are riled up by mediocrity instead of moving on and finding what's for them, so not a good sign for you. How is it uninspired when it's literally factually inspired by her own personal experience with haters, much like yourself that think they know better and won't shut up about it? Also most bands work with different producers at different times for different sounds, your thing you "suspect" is basic logic.

@@57songs283 Wow! This is some serious fangirling here 😂. People are allowed to be disappointed with bang average music. This song is the epitome of bland radio. It is apparent that Blake Harnage was the sound. The decline has been spectacular since his departure with the culmination in this very track. It released on 26th January of this year and in over a month has managed a pitiful 19K views. That is a huge drop off. All their other metrics are the same with sales, views and impressions all massively down. Warner made the mistake of thinking PVRIS were the next big thing. They were mistaken and, upon realising this, terminated the contract by mutual consent. This band is destined to be lumped in with many more mainstream pop outfits that never make it. A shame as they initially showed huge potential.
