Well, given it's illegal for charities in the US to display political affiliation, GDQ have to be very careful with such things. Any display of political slogans or iconography can be taken as support and get them in lots of trouble.

How is the political opinions of one guy on HIS personal Twitter account relevant if they're never conveyed in the event? How is someone being trans a political statement? All of the runners knew from the start they weren't allowed to politicise a charity event and then he goes ahead and does it anyway. He deliberately broke the rules and he deserves to get kicked out for it.

Showing people basic human respect for a legitimate medical condition recognised by every international medical organisation is hardly a political stance. The fact that you think you're some kind of crusader for justice to discriminate against an entire minority is a far more politically-charged position than just letting a person take part in a charity event.

The staff reserves the right to mark your badge, revoke your badge, and/or request the hotel remove you from the property for any reason. While that rule is fucked up since security can just throw you out for no reason, you chose to go to that event and abide by all of the rules. If he takes legal action, he has no chance of winning.

No, the Prevent Cancer Foundation are a charity. Games Done Quick are a Limited Liability Company ran for profit. All the donations go directly to Prevent, who in turn pay kickbacks to the GDQ staff. All the proceeds from tickets, advertising and merch go to GDQ who pay taxes on it. Go check their website, their wikipedia page, the speed demos archive forums, their company registration. They all have them listed as an LLC not a 501(c) registered charity.

My only guess is that they were gunning for a reason to ban him because of something he did last year.
