Necrose and Toxic were in the launch version of the game, however they went unused in the games code, originally necrose had a semi-automatic weapon with burst damage and Toxic has a busted as all hell laser having 42 ammo, little recoil and being able to snipe for 17 damage per shot
On release, Party Rose and captain partyman Were BUSTED back then captain partyman shotgun used to only consume 1 ammo and it used to deal 44 and the sniper used to deal 26 headshot damage but with party time it increased to 33.6 as much as base cactus and the shotgun dealt 66 damage. Party Rose used to deal 11 damage which is much higher than now and even with party time but back then her homing range was 75m and she had 125 health it was impossible to outrun her and party time used to make her deal 17 damage nowadays she barely deals 10 damage when she used to outsnipe pirates
If I remember correctly, super brainz had to reload his punches and druid rose had a different reticle in the open beta. I also think she was semi auto too, but I could be misremembering
Something else of note was also the amount of packs in the game, way more than we have today. Also some funny glitches like getting engi's rocket drone out of packs.
I had a vivid dream from old beta PvZ GW2, with the customization was different, having vibrant colour. I only dreamt it from a video I saw when I was much younger. It was grassy and a bit neon-like.

I thought the numbers on the rank plate were yknow the rank you were on and the numbers to the side showed how far away or how close younare the next rank
I can’t imagine being a new player in this game today. I started playing before launch with the beta. a lot of the characters are painful to play now for how nerfed they got
