PvZ GW3 Ideas! | Part Five: Zombie Variants 

Thank you so much for the support recently! As per usual, I'd love to hear about your ideas for the BFN classes! EDIT: I forgot to mention that I’m experimenting with Pokémon music. Let me know what you think!

I would love to add in the robo soldier zombie as either his own class or a soldier variant. Because when you kill him, the game says “vanquished zombie hero.” And I find him to be so cool looking. Maybe he could be the armored variant for soldiers.

here’s an idea for a potential upcoming gw3 maps video: how about a map that based in a MASSIVE FISHTANK. it would be so cool to hide in the aquarium decor like small castles and chests you can hide in to recover health. and maybe stand on top of ai fish swimming around the tank. and fake plants could be like trees foot soldiers rocket jump on top of. idk it’s a weird idea, but eh, it’s pvz.

The E-Sports Star is a toxic variant of the All-Star, his primary weapon is gaming energy, which deals toxic damage over time, and his toxic aura deals more damage than any other toxic zombies.

Awesome stuff, love the unrevivable mechanic for new Soldier variant.

Imp is the clear winner of this video, the mech being reworked as a yeti for the frost imp sounds sick, and a monster truck mech would be rad af

Peashooter varient: Treeshooter HP: 175 Ammo: 8 Fires balls of tree sap with large splash radius Cannot auto heal Heals at 3x rate while in pea gatling (because roots are in the ground) Takes 2x damage from any fire based attack (including afterburn) With the stickyer sap upgrade it's projectiles gain the effect of chomper's goop, but starting weak and building up from successive shots landed. Edit: Healing would take the gatling pea ammo at 1hp for 1 bullet. Meaning you could only heal around 100 hp MAX before having to wait on recharge Heal rate from sunflowers reduced by 25% when not rooted( in gatling pea mode)

I actually have an interesting idea involving the teleporter basically depending on what engineer variant built the teleporter the teleporter gives a different effect to anyone who uses it like if it was built by the portal technician it can make teammates temporarily sent to that other dimension u mentioned but can’t make a portal appear ware the effect ended allowing for sneaky tactics for your whole team also it will still also teleport them normally on top of that these effects could be stacked with the teleporter effect of other variants if there contributing to the building of the teleporter as well also the teleporter could also look different depending on what variant or group of variants helped build it

Hell yeah, happy to see this part completed. If ya need someone to go over stuff with I'm more than down. I could always make art and such as well. All in all I'm excited for the next installment for this series regardless

I will DIE behind my idea for a perfect new All Star varient: The Birthday-Star! Not a Legendary The birthday star will have attire that looks like that of a clown, funny makeup, goofy shoes etc. His football cannon is instead a giant party popper that shoots out slow moving party streamers (think party Roses thistles but without homing) and they do a measly 3-4 per hit. As he’s firing however, he has a secondary fire that fires at the same time. A constant stream of close range blasts from the party popper will do massive damage (this would be the rate of fire of wrestling star with scientists damage cone) at about 30-40 per hit. This all star could specialize in close range combat, wanting you to get right in the enemies face for massive damage

Class synergy ideas: imps can set themselves up to be punted by all stars and take the plant team off guard, cheese-kata their a--es, and laugh when it somehow works. In retaliation, citron can launch nightcaps for them to cheese fu those undead rejects back to their spawn.

soldier imp: carries duel higher damage but slower firing automatic pistols, 30 ammo the soldier imp comes with an exclusive alternate ability for gravity grenade: he pulls out a bazooka that fires a small missile that is like a lesser ZPG but with less cooldown and less damage his mech is a tank that moves slowly (his movement is controlled only by the left joystick/WASD and his turret moves right and left with the right joystick/mouse -primary weapon is a rocket that flies fast and does 100 damage, containing minor homing, 1 ammo -first ability makes the tank fire five missiles within two seconds, the first dealing 20 damage, each missile after that does an extra 5 damage from the last, ending with 40 damage -the second ability is an on/off ability with no cooldown that when activated, disables the primary weapon and makes the tank move significantly faster. -the mech's escape takes a second longer to explode, but makes a larger explosion, and sends the imp farther upward

Here's my idea for a BFN class for 80's Action Hero: The Termination ( A nod to the Terminator ) The weapon with out zoomed is like a pistol, while the zoom act's like a shotgun: The Pistol only does 5 damage per half a second which the fire rate is 0.50, with it reloading really fast at 2 seconds. The ammo capacity is 15. The shotgun does a big amount of damage, It does 68 damage per hit and the fire rate is the same as Scientist's but a bit more slower. It takes 5 out of the 15 ammo capacity, but the downside is it reloads very slowly which is 4 seconds ( Will reset if you use a ability or switch to the pistol ) So there's my variant for 80's.

questions: Will the swarm characters be here? will they have variants? Will the boss mode from GW1 be here?

A ZomBonaty class would be cool and varieties can be other ZomBonaties

Would it be ok if you add the speed boost ability in citrons ball mode as an alternate ability similar to what you did with the turbo jackhammer for engineer?

I would think the Derby Imp would be a bit overpowered due to the mech abilites, you could just plow through someone then just run to the other side of the map to heal 150 hp for free-

I just remembered there was a scrapped character called the SWAT zombie and there was an unused soldier legendary upgrade in BFN where it shoots bouncing projectiles and it having a overheat system My idea of a soldier variant is a SWAT zombie that shoots bouncing exploding grenades from a grenade launcher and it having 7 bullets each dealing 25 damage on impact and 12 splash damage And I’m making it a special character with a new ability, in place of the stink cloud, the ability allows the SWAT zombie to throw a combat knife that deals 50 damage and if it lands on a surface, the SWAT zombie has a 5 second window to pick it back up and instantly refreshes the ability, and it’ll have a 12 second cooldown if it does hit a opponent or not retrieved in time

My games has been acting weird for a week. 4 days ago i hoped on gw2 on ps4 and i tried to open the portal but it said "you cannot use the portal" i cant seem to be able to interect with anything..booth,quest board,ops etc. Do you know whats causing this? I just wanna fix it and get on a turf match

twilight, I have a idea for a bfn variant for electric slide. It’s a charge up character (like plasma pea and future cactus) and every fully charged shot does around 45 damage. However her gimmick is if she hits and opponent 3 times in a row without missing it forces the enemy to dance for 3-4 damage. idk if you take ideas from fans but yeah, feel free to use it :D

Ker-blash pea: a "puddle" character in the peashooter class (I mentioned a "puddle" category when I made up the granny smith class, remember?) He boasts a larger splash radius, but has pitifully weak damage for a peashooter, his main draw is his "puddle" element that leaves a puddle when enemies vanquished with your assistance, (whether you got the kill, or an assist) that lasts 1.5 seconds and heal 8 health every half second. The puddle is large enough to actually be madd use of, allowing ker-blash pea to provide an extra layer of defense (albeit a small one) for his team to push or hold. Almanac entry: contrary to fire pea, ker-blash pea is a *b i g s h o t* to hang out with during the summer, plus he's really good at saving on his water bill. Is roommates with fire pea.

Question: you're gonna be doing fan variants soon(ish). Once you i n e v i t a b l y go through the new GW3 classes, will you do fan classes too?

You should make a part 6 where it talks about the single player experience liking making the plant and zombies heroes for pvz heroes appearing in them

Honestly I had an idea for a legendary all-star that I'd like to share Referee-Star, since many sports have referees looking over the various stuff He'd shoot slowly and deal medium damage by shooting green cards at enemies As he keeps shooting though, he starts shooting faster and now would shoot higher damaging green cards As he's about to overheat, he'd shoot the fastest (around Baseball Star speed) with 9-10 damage dealing red cards His legendary meter, filled by getting five kills, would be called "foul play", and would allow him to shoot at his fastest with red cards immediately It's just something I made up for fun since I love all stars, wish there was at least a legendary variant for him

I have this cool type of zombies i hope you like i call it the armor defense zombies, ( i couldn't think of a better name sorry) basically it would be like a z mech in that you would do less damage to them and zombies would have this instead of variants like rock pea and metal pedal, and instead of doing less damage they slow down when they shoot kinda like General Supremo i actually think he should have this gimmick to make him more unique and not as bad compared to reg (wrestling star would be another good one) I hope you understand what I'm trying to say 👍

here's my idea for character variants for the game i think gw1 characters should only get 1 variants since they already have dozens and gw2 characters should get at least 2 For the peashooter i decided to make the hunter pea who shoots close range bursts shots like scientists. Sunflower's class is the hero flower who is like breakfast brainz. she has infini-ammo and her shots gets faster over time. Chomper gets the ninja chomper which functions similarly to hot rod chomper. when you get a kill, you become invisible and get a small damage boost. this chomper attacks in a 3 hit slash primary instead of a chomp but can still swallow zombies from behind. The wild cactus is a variant similar to park ranger where she shoots lingering projectiles that damage enemies. Corn gets two variants. One is dracula corn who shoots with his powerful husket musket that steals health. The next is the cereal corn that shoots with a close range shotgun, just like hunter pea. Rose gets the arcane rose and the aqua rose. Arcane rose shoots a beam like citron that can pass through enemies. Aqua rose can charge up her shots and shoot giant exploding water balls. Citron has the banana citron and lemon citron. The banana citron sounds wack but he shoots two highly explosive bananas that can wipe out enemies. The lemon citron gets a rapid firing primary with infini-ammo. For the zombies, foot soldier gets the space soldiers variant which is basically just plasma pea. His final charged shot can home in on enemies. I like the idea of the bowling star but I don't think slower firing all-stars just work. He could get a faster firing projectile with the same mechanic. The engineer gets the miner variant. He's basically a manual detonation character. He shoots explosive dynamites that you can detonate mid-air. The scientist is an interesting one. He's the psychologist and has a spray primary like roadie z. His weapon can weaken the opponents like nec'rose and make them an easy target. (this is an underrated gimmick btw) I like both of the ideas for pirate so im not gonna change anything. The speedster brainz is a quick and faster version of the super brainz. His gimmick is quite unique because he only gets one punch but you can spam the attack button to punch as fast as you can. His zoom attack is the sonic blast which is basically just law pea primary without the ammo but you do suffer from damage fallout. The next one is the evil brainz. His punches are bigger and weakens opponents just like nec'rose. His long range attack is a laser beam that passes through enemies. The imp gets the eagle imp and the cobra imp. The eagle imp shoots 3 burst egg projectiles with a small splash. The eagle mech can jump higher and can float by holding down the jump button. The primary is a slow firing egg cannon that explodes a few seconds after impact. The first ability is the talon swoop where the mech locks onto the nearest target and pick them upwards. The target gets sent upwards and is stunned for a while, making them an easy kill. The next ability is the nest call where you get to mark a spot somewhere and send exploding robot eagles at that point. It's similar to an airstrike but the projectiles are shot from the mech instead. The cobra imp shoots poisonous lingering shots. The cobra mech has a spray toxic ability that poisons plants. The first ability is the rattle swipe where the mech smacks its tail in front of it and sends plants that gets hit flying. This ability deals a hefty amount of damage and is really effective with groups of plants. Next is the snake eye ability that allows you to zoom really far and shoot a barrage of poisonous projectiles which can delete plants. This is my idea of the variants for gw3. I would've loved to do bfn variants but that would be making this too long. I hope you guys enjoy.

I think the paleontologist should be replaced with the volcanologist and the new paleontologist should be an ice age variant that has a mammoth burst shotgun thats like the Z3 crossbow

I think the Frisby all star should have the inherited movment projectiles on the primary to make a goofy gimmick which allows him to shoot the exploading disks around corners Edit: another idea, the longer you stay reved up with the frisby all star the faster his projectile moves (like a nerf flywheel)

I think that the All-Star has the worst variants on gw2, not necessary because they're bad, but they're not very diferent, most of them are "less damage, but shots faster" i really hope that he gains more unique variants as well as the Power and Toxic variants

I have an idea for the plants Boomerang peashooter He has 1 ammo and when shot it will return back to him but if he misses it returns slower The boomerang dose 50 damage and moves very quickly He will have a boomerang return speed upgrade He doesn’t have any damage fall of so he will stay at 50 damage from any range

Disco Chomper should be able to get his mode just for biting people just like Toxic Brainz only needs to punch. He would actually be good. And Yes I agree that chomper should get a range attack like in BFN - not too strong but just right to effectively use it

yo I have an idea for a potted plant/bot how about a anti elemental bot that when you walk near the bot it removes all elemental effects that are damaging the player.

i can't buy the Twilight chomper because EA app just keep giving me errors when i try to buy the midnight snack upgrade :(

Despite bowling being one of my favorite sports, I never questioned why all-star didn’t have that as a variant… mainly cause I was thinking about why soccer star doesn’t exist when it’s the sport that is well associated with football.

What if the car mech was more like a transformer so when it does not sprint it will not use the wheels but if it sprints it with use it wheels and not walk if it uses overdrive it with turn to its car form Because if it was just a car the whole time it would stay out from all the other Z mechs

A super brainz that is basically batman

Hear me out guys. Some modder should implement these ideas in the year 2030

Idea: Mad Scientist He uses the shotgun style weapon from BFN but his bullets bounce around like BFN engineer’s. He’s fast and has lots of stamina but has even lower health than the average scientist. He’s an in and out type of character, get in heal and give cover fire and get out quickly. He has the drawback of being a big target (he wears flashing lights and he does a maniacal laugh from time to time) basically meant to be an absolute menace to the plants but if focused on can be easily dealt with. When he’s damaged the container of healing fluid on his back will crack and begin leaking it as a trail behind him basically telling allies “follow me let’s get out of here” it heals zombies that walk on it but not by much. It dries up after about 7 seconds. Once he starts regenerating a mechanical arm appears and puts a bandage on the hole. His play style requires extensive knowledge of the map for optimal performance.

Loud imp: despite being classified as a zombie, he can attack and be attacked by both sides, and doesn't count for objectives. He's a chaotic and quirky individual, of which only 2 are allowed in a match at a time. Almanac entry: nobody actually knows whose side he's on, he's not chaotic good bad or neutral and has unchained himself from the zomboss law. With his trusty skateboard and bouncing bombs, he'll leave both sides in shambles at this rate. This special quirk of his lets him choose whose side he's on. (He has special rarity, what did you expect?) Instead of a double jump he has a skateboard that let's him wall jump similarly to a chaotic character in a pizza game we shall not name (obvious reference) The first wall jump goes as high as a rocket jump, second goes as high as 2 normal jumps, third is a normal jump, any further jumps will go nowhere, and eventually will send you downward instead. His sprint multiplier is also the highest in the game, but also has the least traction, and you slide a bit after it ends. His primary is a bunch of robotic bombs he built himself, they'll bounce toward any plant or zombie they see, but will prioritize the team you seem to be trying to oppose (EX: you cause the zombies more problems than you do plants, they'll aim toward the peashooter, but they'll usually go for the zombies instead) They'll jump 1.5 times as high as most other characters to reach their target. His mech is actually a hot air balloon that hovers a fair distance off the ground, it only goes up or down if the terrain does the same. It has a double jump, just in case. The primary is the same, except the bombs go farther due to being launched from a cannon. Directs are now possible on initial launch, dealing high damage. 45 second cooldown, 300 health. Balloon abilities: Bozo basher: slam the ground to instant kill anyone directly below, and launch the more fortunate bozos away. 28 second cooldown Anarchy missile: 3 charges, shoots a barrage of 6 missiles, these lock on to enemies, but move dodgeably slow, highly effective against drones, which you're otherwise weak to. 14 second cooldown per charge. Other details: For impkata, he pulls out comically large revolvers, since he comes from the present, rather than the future. Visual change only. He'll respawn anywhere, except in either teams spawn. Please notice this and mention it for the episode you reveal viewer variants. 🙏

There is a GW mod called Lots of Variants that has some pretty cool ideas for variants as well. Like the Demolitionist, which its shots stay on the ground and explode when stepped on. Or the Esports Star, that leaves toxic clouds with its sweat gun lol
