Just installed it on a White Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom. I have painted the Black rivets to white color and it looks awesome. Cheers

Just received mine from Hitchcock's. Just wanted to see how the rivets get installed, no clear instruction in the package. This looks easy enough, just pop each one in by hand. Thanks.

I got only three complet Push-Rivets. Thats means I will do both, "stick-Fit" and "Push-Rivet" Two Push-Rivet on each side and only one in the middle. should work ok. Thanks OTR for the very quick delivery. 👍

Can you use both methods together i.e. pads and rivets, though the rivet demo would appear to show both methods together
@pyramidmoto86
@pyramidmoto86 Год назад
Hi Chris, yes you use the stick fit pads as a gasket and also to locate the part whilst you drill it. You just don't need to use as many because you're not relying on them to hold the part in place.

Clear instructional video but just like yourselves, who has a clamp with long enough arms to clamp in the central position suggested? I don't want to use the rivet method as I have a white mudguard.

You can get a deep-throat C-clamp from Harbor Freight Tools for less than $10.

I was planning on using the adhesive method, but prior to fitting the adhesive pads drill the holes for rivets. Then use adhesive pads letting it cure for 12 hrs. Then maybe use the rivets as 'belt & braces'. OTT?
@pyramidmoto86
@pyramidmoto86 Год назад
You could certainly do it this way Marty, it will leave you with extra holes though if you end up deciding not to use them. You could always drill afterwards if you decide the stick fit isn't enough?

Are the extenders speficially designed and tested to not come into contact with the radiator when the fork is fully compressed? Especially on high performance bikes with large radiators?

Hi Phil, Yes that''s right. It's important to note that our products are always designed on the standard bike... so any aftermarket parts fitted can affect clearances and fit of our products without our prior knowledge or having had chance to test ourselves due to the sheer volume of aftermarket options that are out there for each model.

Is there not a risk of the rivets hitting the Tyre or causing debris to catch on them ?
@pyramidmoto86
@pyramidmoto86 Год назад
No they don't protrude very far out of the back of the guard/extenda at all - certainly should be no issue with regard to catching the tyre.

An important bit of information is not given either in the video or the instruction leaflet. What SIZE drill bit do you need!

My Fender-Extender has just arrived for my Vespa - looks like a really well thought out design. Just a question, are the rivets in 2 parts? i.e. front and back
@f109ged
@f109ged 2 года назад
A pity Pyramid couldn't be arsed to reply to you. It doesn't look like they are two-part rivets. I'm doubtful they will hold fast. Did you fit yours and if so, has it stood the test of time, pls?

Apologies chaps - we've just come back to this channel after it being dormant for ages! We're going to try and step up the content going forwards and get plenty more videos created :D The rivets are 2 part rivets, but you use them as if they are one. The outer shell goes into the whole first (4mm) followed by the rivet pin which causes it to expand and hold. Obviously this is much too late and surely you are now sorted!

I have an question. Why the arrangement of stick pod is different depending on the method?
@andybowser122
@andybowser122 5 лет назад
Simply because for the push-rivet fitment, there is no need to create full contact. There is only a need to create a gasket for the push-rivet fitment. When using our Stick-Fit version, more are used for maximum adhesion.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Am I missing something eer now, or am I supposed to guess the drill size? Do you tink the drill size really matters at all, at all , obviously not it seems as you do not mention it in your video Michael . Regards to ya all now, Paddy O'fook
