After making this video there was a patch that added - the pyromane cannot starve itself out by using the fuel ability. Im glad there finally getting interesting with creatures its a shame they had to use so much of a shadowmane remake to do it but i hope they add more especially something that can be used in the ocean since i seem to spend almost all my time in there.
Also having a pyro on your shoulder while riding one of the other gender will get you the mate boost making it quite convenient to increase your dps. Of course that would mean you cant pop it on your shoulder as you cant have one on each shoulder.
Hey Doth, great work, a few extra questions maybe if you have tested since: 1. If a player bola's you can you ride the pyromane instantly, avoiding being stuck on the ground and now on a mount? 2. Say you're out and about on a pyromane and you have flame absorbed, you notice an enemy coming to pick you, can you turn it into a shoulder pet (while in aggro) and get picked and it flames the enemy off like a normal flamethrower does? thanks alot man, if you haven't tested these I will be soon... these just popped up in my head after watching the video.
1. If youre bolad it doesnt let you turn it into the big pyromane. If someone tries to weight gapple your big pyromane you can turn it small and it puts the weight on you but it halves it like shoulder pets do. THEN if you arnt weighted you can pull the enemy since the grapple is on the pyromane and not you If someone grapples you and you have a pyromane on your shoulder DO NOT turn it big. It bugs you out so you and the pyro cant move at all till you log off 2. No you cant burn players on the back of saddles with anything besides the dash
I think the fire/lava resistance is much stronger than the fire demage. At the point where it got 2500% melee, the fire would just be some additional demage. Literally every dps Dino with 2500 melee destroyed everything… giga, Chatham, rhino, ther. But having this mount on ur shoulder as a tek flame bob, and once ur opponent is flaming back u just mount and are invincible while u can still flam the other person, gonna be meta. BTW its immune against the dragon fire too. Also the shoulder mount thing is a nice idea, but I thing it should have been a feature on a full pve tame. Not on some thing that people use in pvp. It’s just doesn’t fit the official cryopod meta that they themselves introduced, even no one asked for it.
I tamed the first on with a melee char, prim flak, pike and luring it in the water near some wild dinos on the shore. Once player got experienced with it, it’s gone be one of the first tames like a Argi.
Yeah the shoulder thing is definitely the main problem. It will kill you in 5 seconds but last 30. But also as a shoulder mount it will kill any carnivores and any flier that picks you from your shoulder too. The fact that there is a counter to it is good but since it counters itself is just so lame because that means everyone has to run it. It's degenerative to the game
I hate how they made such a cool creature but then ruined it with being paid and OP af. Really hard to have a true appreciation for them when all i can see when i look at them is how much the devs dont care or dont realize they're killing the game
Yeah it does absolutely too much. They should just get rid of the burn damage entirely, and I think it becomes much easier to stomach. Still full of utility but won't be meta defining
@@Doth_ bro, I don't know what you did in your server settings, but that is not the correct burn damage. You have it jacked up somehow. It does not do that much.
Its one of the fastest live births. Similar to shadowmanes, on 1x a pregnancy is around 2 hours, compared to 4ish on Thylas and the typical 8hr on other live births. We're already working on Melee thats 55+pts into it on official lol.
Definitely my favorite creature right now, this is insane for base/cave defense, If i breed a bunch of these, no one is going to be able to tank my turrets anymore bc any tank will be burned to death with the pyromane inflame buff 😂 the best part is that burns riders too and goes through armor
I dont reallt think that they are going to nerf the Pyromane bc is a premium creature, so any bad nerf they give to it will affect the amount of sales that the Pyromane will give to them, remember that is a SINGLE creature, if Wilcard does a bad move with this, probably no one will want to keep buying the Pyromane

Lmao Edit: they only "nerfed" the damage that the Fire Dash ability does with the impact by scaling it to 0,25 of melee damage but if you build the 10 stacks there is no problem when you want to kill riders bc they are still going to die pretty fast, and they fixed some bugs the Pyromane had (like being able to ride it in his kitten form) They know that If they made this creature useless or nerf it hard like the Rhynio, the sales are going to fall from a cliff
It’s worth 5 dollars but if you don’t want it don’t buy it’s easier then Phoenix and probably my favorite mount in the game and u can tame on day one just jump in water and pike from underneath it can’t hit while swimming
Too op in so many different ways. “I just healed 500 health” had me saying “Yeah, F snail games.” This creature is the reason ASA is even more of a scam, in case Tea Tribe abusing power, ASA being as glitched as old ark on release, and the rest of the issues weren’t already showing this. I wish WildCard actually could make this game good instead of making stuff like P2W creatures. This is a sign of where ARK is going. I am sure the damage numbers and such were specifically so Snail Games can abuse them.

No, they can. By that logic any game you buy wouldn't nerf anything because we bought it. Look at all the tames that got nerfed in the paid DLC's for ase or the items
yeah it's pretty normal practice for games to release an op dlc so people buy it and then they nerf it. ASA hasnt balanced anything in a long time though so I think they are just going to make this game a sandbox of op crap and call it a day. Hope im wrong
