To all the people, who says it looks like Heian sandan of Shotokan... It actually is the same as Heian sandan. These kata's were originally called Pin'an. Which in Korean is pronounced as Pyung Ahn, and Funakoshi renamed these katas to Heian in the 1930's. As far as I know, Tang Soo Do is based Shotokan karate... you could call it even "Korean karate" especially since the name Tang Soo Do is literally the Korean reading of Karate-do (the old name, where "kara" was still written with the character referring to the Tang-dynasty of China). Also I find Tang Soo Do versions of Pyung Ahn is really close to the Kyokushinkai version of Pin'an. Which is logical, since Oyama was Korean born. It is widely taught that Oyama was a student of Funakoshi, but I suspect he incorporated a lot from either Tang Soo Do, which he might have learnt in Korea in his youth, or at the Kanbukan, since the Renbukai (the descendant organization of the Kanbukan) has similar Pin'an katas as well.

I knew the Pinan/heian katas were common across all styles of Karate but I am honestly surprised to learn that it's also in Tang Soo Do! The name is also very close to Pinan san dan so it makes sense! Thank you for the demonstration.

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but this highly resembles the third Shotokan Karate kata "Heian Sandan".

Third kata of Shotokan interesting. However the kicks are more like mikazuki geri style than a real bloquage
