7:52 That is incorrect about it keeping a tally while the screen is off, it goes into a dormant stage. I tested this out on my solar set up reset all the timers, and waiting until the runtime was at 1 hour, then made note of the Ah used and runtime. When I turned the screen off I was at 1.2 Amp hours used after the hour of it being on. I Then turned off the screen, came back 2 hours later and all of the stats remained the same, with the exception of it updating the voltage of course, because that is dynamic update. I then reset all the Ah run time etc and did a test with the screen on. I had the starting point of 1.2Ah used, a runtime of 1 hour and so on. When I came back 2 hours later I was at 3.4Ah used and a run time of 3 hours. I reached out to the seller of this item to confirm because I was not expecting it to work this way, but they stated it is working as intended. I just wanted to put my experience out here. I have the same item with the exception that mine is 200v /300A. When you used your clamp meter to see if it "was still working" The power is sstill being moved though the shunt, the device does not "turn off the load" it just does not keep track of it while off.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing your experience. I will revisit this, as you can see in the video when I turn the display off the capacity is 552 mAh when I switch back on it flips over to 553 mAh. I will test for a longer period, maybe they have changed the firmware? Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

@@1nformatica My finding are the same as yours, meter held settings till the next time I checked,( 2 days later), maybe Patrick has a faulty unit.

hello, great video, a question: is PZEM-015 capable of recort the peak value for the voltage and keep it memorized? I have to monitor a voltare regulator output for several hours and record the peak voltage. Thanks!

Very usefull info. BUT please how the device be wired between My solar system and battery bank. Next question is will the battery be connect to charger and still to the device ????

This device is designed to go between the battery and the load it is driving, it's really not for monitoring solar panel charging systems. Thanks for watching, have a great day!

Hi there, good review ! I have question though, if you had something that was charging the battery, would it show something like -30W and -1,2A ? letting you know what power is going into your battery.

A very good question! I have just setup a test. What happens is that the values do not go negative. They indicate the correct values but not the "direction" also the mAh still increase either way! Please consider subscribing if you have not done so already!

Bro does it shows the current in 2 direction. I mean . If fix it in my inverter battery side . Does is shows both charging and discharging current? Plz bro . Reply soon .very urgent 😢plz plz plz

curious how this is stacking up now its been a while? mainly i am wondering about the SOC calculation, as the manual says it is linear voltage calculation, for Lead etc this is fine, but not necessarily for lithium - eg my lifepo4 200AH barely drops any voltage until over 50% discharged

The SOC is only applicable to Lead Acid batteries. You could calclate the SOC roughly for your liFe batteries by monitoring the capacity used in discharge. Maybe consider some circuit to disconnect the batteries when the voltage falls below a safe level.

Maybe you have a very good battery? Or the load and supply connections are reversed.
