Very informative~ love your video 👍🏼 I’ve just started working as a professional web developer in Hong Kong and I hope I can work in Japan in the future 🇯🇵
Thanks for the video. It really helps me to decide whether I want to be a developer in Japan or just stay in North America. Glad that I can speak Japanese, lol.
Thanks! Of course there is a demand for a test engineer but I think it's not so popular as a web developer. Also I think its demand is basically high in enterprise company because small company can't afford hire them so web developer cover the realm.
Hi Shuya, nice video! I've started learning Japanese and I'm interested in finding a software job in Japan but I've got a question: Do you know what are the odds of getting a coding job in Osaka? I imagine the vast majority of IT jobs to be in Tokyo but I've become a bit demoralized after watching videos about the Tokyo lifestyle haha.
Sounds great! Tbh, I'm not familiar with jobs for foreigners in Osaka but like you said, I guess chances are high that you land a job in Tokyo. Although I don't even know what video you watched, I'm sure that living in Tokyo is amazing at least for 3yrs especially for foreigners.
@@shuya-sonoda Hey, thanks for the answer. I don't want to offend, but mostly it just seems that it's hard to make friends in Japan as a foreigner ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nfpWAqK0YZE.html Also confirmed by Japanese people ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OqigLJ2b3Fw.html Nobita mentioned in another video that Osakan people are friendlier on average. Anyway, I'll keep in mind what you said, Tokyo is still a cool city!
Thank you for the informative video! I’m currently working on getting my CS degree and I was wondering, is it getting more common for women to work as software engineers in Japan? I ask because I’m also a woman and the software engineering field is male dominant, however, more and more women are entering this field, at least in the US. I plan to work in Japan as a SWE someday, so I’d like to know how it’s like :)
Thanks! It's a good question and maybe someday I'm gonna interview woman software engineer. At least I can say it's becoming common but not so many women are working as a swe I guess. In my company, some women are working and I think the ration is 1 out of 7 ppl. I hope you can work in Japan:)
may I know where you work right now ? what is the traditional Japanese work culture in your place when it is thick? What is your current place of work for global companies or traditional japanese companies? is there any suggestion to avoid black companies in Japan? or is there a vacancy at your place of work right now? please let me know,
Those are fairly good question. I love it. Unfortunately, however, I don't wanna be rep of the company so I can't tell it. But I'll do my best to give you informative things to build your career! thanks!
