I was thinking the same... Troy is awesome in many ways! There's always jealousy votes from those unfortunate souls... I bet they won't if it reveals their identity. Don't let the buggers take you down!!
Really happy with your success. Being following for years and when I saw you join Plini to tour overseas with Intervals and Animals as Leaders I just had to buy tickets for both tours. Hope everything goes even better for you in the near future!
I'm a bass player that wishes he also played drums and was bummed to see you stopped. Sorry to hear about your wrist, but congrats on coming back to RU-vid! Can't wait for more material, love watching you play - cheers!
Fantastic video full of heartfelt and honest insight into drumming and the music industry. Really enjoy your videos and find your technique to be spot on. Inspirational work.
Troy you are a really great drummer! I also teach kids and love that! Great to see someone who is passing on the fire! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Vienna!
Looking forward to the videos man! Had the pleasure of seeing you play live on almost every Plini US tour besides the one supporting TesseracT but you always killed it and definitely inspired me to get better. Cheers man, best of luck with the new opportunities!
Been awhile dude, last saw your workshop with ARMI in Adelaide. You're one of the reasons I still love drumming today! Hope you're still doing okay, and that you're still having fun with your passion
Nice, been a while since I've seen this sort of video from you. Hope to see some new covers soon! Also, you really deserve more subs mate. Edit 2: Please. Please do a Selenium Forest cover...
You are my hero man ;) I started doing RU-vid videos because of you, and you are the one I look up to for inspiration. Keep doing this awesome work and best of luck and sucess!
Super excited for the stuff that's coming! I still have the cracked crash you gave me back in Paris 2 years ago and every time I look at it I get a kick of inspiration! Keep slaying man, looking forward to see you again some day in the future 👊😎
Guess it goes to show, not matter how big your arms are, your wrists are still the core and most important aspect of your body as a drummer. If you ignore exercising that, you can lift all you want and still render yourself out of commission. Also, adding motion doesn’t mean you have to hit harder.
Hugo Rezende Lol... Its funny people actually catch on... Btw not hating, but I feel like too many drummers are trying to look like athletes when in reality none of that matters for their tool kit. Wrists go, it all goes.
FanaticalDrummer i agree when i think of Dirk verbeuren, John Rice, Eric moore. But i think drummimg is related more for Stamina on going to the gym than hitting hard. Of course Eloy makes me think that working out makes out greater, but i underdtand that "execises" in general and good habits and more related to sucessful drummimg than lifting wheghts
I miss the Q&A post AND also didnt know you injured your wrist. I recently started playing with a band that I play harder and louder with and have had wrist pain since a particular show a few months ago. How did you heal your wrist and any other advice you have for injury healing and prevention while still having to play and practice daily??
I just had to take some serious time away from the drums and when I "had" to play it was no where near the live touring volume. I just kept good care of my wrist without having it locked in a cast
Hi Troy, good stuff as always! Would you share your camera setup or maybe you can share your video taking process? That would be awesome! You’re too good bro🔥🔥🔥
I have gone old school and getting a 4 ply maple/mahogany with mahogany reinforcement rings... 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22 and a 14 x 6.5 snare... I'm going to cry haha
The other question about that stack is what is the extension you have to make it work? I have that stack and you have certain hardware to stack it the way you do.
@@TroyWright It was a big surprise to see you that day. I knew you from RU-vid before Plini. And i didn't get the memo that you played for him. So when i saw you guys play together i had my moneys worth at that Moment. Hope to see you again !
Could you do a medley of Meshuggah's The Violent Sleep Of Reason? I've seen your covers of the other albums and they are incredible, so glad your back!
Would you be interested in playing drums in some way on my next album, whether it’s just a song or more? You can hear my first album by searching for Celestial Frame on iTunes or Spotify. By the way, I saw you in Pittsburgh on that Plintervals tour and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
