This has been two years, where are you? Prayers from a long time coma survivor who just found you

Oh my goodness!!!! Thank you so very much!!! These answers were so incredibly helpful and comforting. I've since found out that my coma was actually 2 days short of four weeks. It's a long story, but probably boring to anyone else. Also, I can't see a therapist for this because my insurance doesn't cover it. (p.s. I'm not a guy/man :D )

I hear you on the therapist thing. I've been looking for a new therapist, but my insurance is causing me a lot of issues, too. I'm hopeful that I might have received a good referral yesterday to someone who I can work with.

Can totally relate to the a and b reality. Therapy for me was essentially and may return because some of my delirium memories and flashbacks continue to be an issue. So many crazy traumatic insane memories. so glad to have found you and your channel. wishing you all the best.

It's been nearly 3 years since all my stuff happened and I still have flashes of remembrances of the delirium and the dreams. At first I didn't recognize what they were, but when they started happening more frequently, I realized it and have been trying to catch hold of one to see if I can try to work through it again, but they're so fast I have a hard time until they're gone.

Goodness thank God you are looking much better, my mom was in the same situation and recovered thankfully! Are you putting out any more video updates?

Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you're mom is doing better. I've been thinking about doing more videos, but I'm not sure what to do them on. My last few videos have been in response to comments I've received on here. I've been thinking of new ideas for videos, but I'm not sure what to do just yet.

Hi, I just discovered your channel, first sorry for my english I'm french, but I really appreciated your video and your vision of the coma, hope you are recovering well, I'm 41 and it happened to me too last november, I was in a coma for 9 days, my lungs were also filling with fluids. I don't know when I started having dreams, when I was in a coma, or the days after, and there was no difference between dreams and reality, my dreams were my reality, later my family told me certain things and I knew it was real for example when I tried to go out of my bed but I had alot of drains , cables and things in my chest and on the side of my body, I tried to take them off, there was blood on the bed, I was paranoid and had terrible hallucinations, I had to go through a second surgery and I was 100% sure there was a plot against me, the doctors the nurses even my parents, I was condemned and they wanted to take my heart my eyes and my kidneys...I was told that they restrained me, I don't know more there's alot of confusion and I feel ashamed about it, I'm not a violent guy I'ce never been..In my dreams I remember visiting strange places where I've never been before, and I don't know how to say it but for example I was obsessed by the enormous noise sometimes outside of my hospital room, it was the helicopter, 1, 2 or 3 times a day, but it was only in my dreams because I read in my local newspaper 2 or 3 months after that there was a project to build an helicopter landing pad on the roof but it is not sure and it'll be real only around the year 2023-2025... In your video What Is It Like Being In A Coma? at 7:30 the catastrophic news episode is also a "deja vu" , a terror attack was en cours in my hospital, then it was a demonstration of Yellow vests in front of the hospital, explosions, and I also remember (once again true or not idk) 3 doctors in my room saying about me that the worst was a probability, what you say at 9:10 is true. Sorry if it was a bit long, thanks again for the videos, I see I'm not the only one who needs to talk/write about that, plus I see a therapist twice a month.. ps : nice TMNT tee ;-)

Thank you for sharing your story. It seems as though our experiences are very similar. I'm glad you're seeing a therapist as the experiences we had are traumatic and can cause PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Left untreated, they can destroy your life and harm the lives and relationships of those around you. It took more than 2 years for me to have my first PTSD breakdown and it was at that point where I finally started seeing a therapist. The reason I made these videos is partially because I thought it would be at least mildly interesting for those curious about comas, but because I wasn't sure if my experience was unique and I wanted to know if there were others out who experienced something similar. I'm both sad and relieved that others out there have experienced such similar things as I did. I feel like I want to do more to help those who have been impacted, but I don't even know where to start. Thank you for commenting and I hope you're doing well. Take care.

It is not Oct 2019 wanted to know if you are still in PD ? How did you get off . Did you get a transplant or did your kidney heal on it’s own. I know you said you was on Hemo Dialysis at 35 and you were the youngest at the clinic . My husband is thinking bout PD so he can be at home . He got kidney failure as a result from Heart Transplant. He goes to clinic 3x week. Yup he is retired . It’s funny 😄 how you described the older people at the clinic . So true.

I am not still on PD. My kidneys recovered enough so that I could come off dialysis, but the Wegener's will end up causing me to have to go back on at some point in the future.

If I may ask, why were you in comas?
@DBMedStuff
@DBMedStuff 5 лет назад
Originally I was put in a coma because my lungs were filling full of fluid and they wanted to be able to put me in the prone position to help my lungs open up and so they could drain them with tubes and whatnot. My second coma was because my stats tanked again and they needed to put me out to keep me comfortable while they were doing all kinds of medical procedures on me. The 3rd coma was because of a PRES episode. That PRES episode actually had me flatlined for a minute, but there was a nurse in the room when I flatlined, so I was pretty fortunate.
