13:07 I just realized this question might have been regarding my book vs movie videos, because there have been times I will read a book twice to make sure I understand it. So if the question is whether I do that with movies I am covering, then the answer would be no. I don’t think I have ever watched a movie twice specifically in order to prepare for a video the way I have with some books.
Former collegiate runner here. Fun fact, distance runners generally have the best grades of all student-athletes. It is not uncommon for them to be avid readers because the mental focus required for distance running has a similar brain function to tasks like reading for long periods
For all the work you have been putting out these past few months, you deserve all the success that comes your way! Congrats on reaching 10k, Laura 🎉🥳 So proud of you and can't wait to see this channel grow even further!! My hands have been tied the past month, but I'm still looking for our next collab 😅
Congrats on 10k!!! Really enjoyed this Q&A, but I always enjoy your videos so that's not surprising )) And thank you so much for the shoutout and for your kind words about my channel!
Thanks for making this video and answering all the questions! Congratulations again on the 10K! 🎉The fact that you've done so many marathons is insanely impressive. I've managed a 10K at most and I was seriously struggling. You seem like a very motivated person and I'm constantly so impressed by how you maintain a posting schedule while not sacrificing quality. I have a few books that I would like to see adopted into film, but I don't think it would happen. One of them is silly, it's a YA book series called the Forbidden Gam by L.J. Smith. It's not an outstanding series or anything but it feels like it would be a fun action series if it was ever put on screen. I would also love to see Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk as a film. That one would probably be really difficult to adapt.
Thank you 😁🤗 And thanks for submitting a question! I've never heard of Invisible Monsters but what I have read by him is always strange in one way or another lol.
Totally agree with you about east of eden would love a new adaptation You really should give jane Austen books a try i really enjoyed pride and prejudice and sense and sensibility and persuasion
First off congrats on 10000 subs. Secondly here are my answers. 1 The Book I wish would be adapted is Willow and twig By Jean Little which is about two children (one who is deaf) finding a home with their unknown grandmother after their caregiver dies. 2 SO imo my favourite memoir is The Horse boy by Rupert Issacson which is about a father and his autistic son going to Mongolia to find a shaman to help his autism. 3 I've always wanted to speak French. 4 I would love to live IN THE UK. I would love to go to visit Africa. 5 If I could direct a movie I think it would be a fantasy horror with a disabled protagonist who doesnt use magic to heal his disabilities. 6 I actually have a bin of 1990 baseball cards. 7 I am Legend just because it was too inaccurate 8 I dont drink alcohol due to medical. 9 nope. 10 The Haunted Hotel by Ron Roy 11 Unfortunately I dont have any pets. Also The reason ur cat might like licking u is because she wants to "clean u" as she sees u as hers so she licks u to try to clean ur hand. 12 Find a interesting story u wouldnt normally read. 13 Yes because I usually enjoy the movie. 14 NO as I didnt like Pride and Prejudice.
OMG the last summer I bought Southern Gothic (but I'm not finished it yet, I bought it IN GERMAN 💀 so it's difficult to me..) and right now I'm reading The Last house on needless street!! The "cat chapters" are always stunning
Congrats on 10k. I didn't realize you're a distance runner! That's a lot of marathons! I'm working on getting into more running as well! Any races you're currently training for? Also cute pets!
Books I wish turned into movie: I have several that I can think of but off the top of my head, I would love to see this book called Kira-Kira by Cynthia kadohata. It was one of my favorites as a kid and I think a good adaptation of it would be good to see. It would bring up important conversations of modern day Asian immigrants and some of the struggles with that from the eyes of a child. I think it’s fascinating and it could be really well done. Languages I could read books in: French and Greek! I’d love to read Les Miserables and the count of monte cristo but I also would love to read the illead and the oddessy in Greek! Place I would love to travel: anywhere in Europe and Asia Other collections: mugs, VHSs and just movies in general Book that connected with you: I loved reading as a kid but I remember really loving A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Mom loved it because I used to play being the princess in rags and would clean the house in a little black dress. It was fun for me. Reading slumps: my struggle is just not giving myself time. When I was in high school and college I rarely had time, and sometimes I struggle to still give myself that time to read. But when I do I always feel better and find it worth it so I try hard to keep doing it. Pride and prejudice: the 1995 is the better adaptation but the 2005 was one of my favorites when I was younger and the soundtrack for that one is still one of my favorites of all time. So I guess when I rewatch, it depends on what I’m looking for. Some favorite books right off the top of my head: Jane Eyre, Little Women, Little Dorrit, Les Miserables, Harry Potter series, the Handmaids tale. Favorite movies lately not based on books (at least as far as I know, correct me if I’m wrong): the Truman show, the young Victoria, Jesus revolution, wonka, me myself and Irene, Erin brokovitch, stranger than fiction, Sabrina, casino, and A little chaos
Congratulations on your channel's success. OMG....you showed a picture of yourself near the Belfry of Bruges. "In Bruges is such a perfect film (so is The Banshees of Inisherin). Haven't forgotten my promise to give you one million dollars if I win one billion in the lottery. Guess what....let's up that to 10 million so you can live in Santa Monica !!!
Congratulations. I would love to see Rose Madder by Stephen King adapted. Also all of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, not just Interview With The Vampire.
