Hey brother hope all is well. I left you a question a while back about soft shoes and do you recommend any. What I wanted to say was are there any good rubber sole shoes or what’s know as Casual dress shoes you would recommend like the Cole Haan type of shoes.. I would really like to hear your opinion, I have bad feet
As always, great content. On a side note, when I go out at night, nice dinner, etc. I get nothing but positive attention when I wear a suit. I’m usually the only one dressed like that. It’s definitely a separator.
I’m a db guy. I’ve changed my style in the past few years to wear more of them. It’s classic and sets me apart from everyone else. Plus, as a bigger guy… it helps hide your gut(when cut right)
Love a nice 40s to 50s style double breasted suit. Looks sharp. Oh yeah, Gregory Peck in that "gray flannel suit" was GQ as hell. Not double breasted but on point. Beats the hell out of the current super skinny suits and a pair of Jordans we have today. 😎
Great video, the good about this channel is I agree with 95 percent of what you put out and 5 percent I don’t, it don’t matter……I’m so happy your back. Keep doing your think Fam. When I blow up with my production companies, you are getting a call. I got some members that are in need of your brand of common classic menswear sense
Just bought my first proper shoes. Suede Trickers in Cherry. Have no real idea what colour pants I’ll match them with but thanks for inspiring me to invest in Goodyear welted shoes.
I don't know why people still pay for Apple products. Sorry to hear about that man. Great video as usual! Love the Q&A format. Where can we post the questions for next one?
Double breasted suits are my absolute favorite suit style. My first suit I got made to measure from Men’s wearhouse is a medium grey double breasted suit. I love wearing it when I get the chance
I got my business casual look locked down but I struggle with casual wear. I have outfits that are either too comfortable, or are over-styled with ugly and unnecessary brand logos 😣 and I hate that. You should do a video on this topic. I haven’t seen much on this particular topic from the other men’s style RU-vidrs.
Vlad you are a legend bro. Been watching you for ages. Best menswear advice out there! Keep up the good work. I have got one question though: Muslim men are not allowed to wear silk, only Muslim women. What material advice would you give to someone who cannot wear silk for Tie and Scarf options?
Thanks for all your kind words, fam! My advice is to check out Wool ties from shops like Shibumi, they’re a bit heavier so I only wear them in the winter. Also check out John Henric (johnhenric.com/us/accessories/ties/cashmere-ties). They have a nice selection of cashmere, cotton and linen ties.
Bro, no oxblood tassel loafers OTR?? How about the original tassel loafers: Alden! Pick them up in color number 8 cordovan... Possibly my favorite pair of shoes I own! 👍
@vladimir how about the bar lacing with a Berluti knot using a double surgical knot at the top (two times around)? I HATE having to re-tie my laces when wearing a suit…
Apple learned a long time ago about planned obsolescence. Products are made to last only so long and then need to be replaced. Keeps the cash flow going. I love double breasted suits. Think they’re elegant if accessorized properly and of course, tailored properly. Reminds me of the great clothes of the Thirties. Great video and look forward to the intro of your watchstraps.
What’s up, Robert? Yeah Apple got me good..SMH. I agree on DB’s, definitely not as forgiven as single breasted jackets if not tailored perfectly. Regarding the straps, I’m very excited. I’ll be doing a soft launch where I’ll take preorders, and they’ll be ready in 4 weeks. I’ll run it starting this week until 6/30.
Hey Vladimir, thank you for all the great contents. What do you think about bow ties? I’ve never seen you rocking one or talking about one. I’d like to know your thoughts on this item of clothing.
What’s up, Lesly? I only wear bow ties with a tux. Some guys really do a good job wearing them, but they bring too much attention which I’m not a fan of. I like when people compliment me on being well dressed without being able to pick out one piece.
Some more questions: any thoughts on Dr schole pad inserts to add comfort and avoid some shoe break-in pain? Walgreens brand is better, btw. Similar idea, buying dress shoes if you wear an orthotic. Tips on ironing your clothes. Do you do it yourself or do you dry clean? Enzo extended my cuff to 2 inches but it’s a faux cuff and I hate that it doesn’t have the full body of a normal cuff. Any thoughts on the faux cuff if there isn’t enough material? Would you ever wear a single vent jacket? Forward pleat or backward pleat pants? Are there any cobblers in NJ or your area good enough to resole a Goodyear welted shoe? Would you wear the lazy man loafer (Churchill)? Hope you could get some content from that.
Appreciate the questions, Evan! Just to answer a couple here: I do both both dry clean with no starch and I also wash and iron my shirts at times. Just depends if I'm in the mood or short on time. I will make a video on how I take care of my shirts soon. As far as cobblers, I use one in Edgewater on River Road. The name of the shop is Handbag & Shoe Doctor. Regarding pleats, most of mines are single reverse but not sure if I have a preference.
@@v_r_ Thanks! I’ve passed by that cobbler recently on my way down to Edgewater but could never find legit reviews on serious work, like proper full sole replacement. I have too many shoes so replacing a sole pretty much never comes up.
Same here! But my Carlos Santos that I really love was resoled twice by them and they did a good job. I’ve since retired them, we had a great time together.
No double breasted in my wardrobe but I'd love to get at least one as part of a suit. On my end, I see more and more grown adults dressed at teenagers it's scary. But I do agree that classicaly dressed men stand out even more because of that. Keep the videos coming my friend
I don’t know that much about bow ties except for black tie. But I asked my mentor as he wears them a lot and he said he gets his from Nordstrom. The tie brands that I wear don’t make bow ties, unfortunately.
Yo Vladimir I checked out Spier & Mackay and u are right prices are great but I wear a 48L or a 50L put they don't carry that size. Could you suggest some where else. I am living in Charlotte NC originally from NY
I cant wait for my Yearn shoes, and yes. I think TLB Mallorca loses to Yearn. Better value for money. If i was in a country with a TLB Mallorca store then id consider it. Nice thing about being in the UK is having access to Arterton Ltd who sells the Yearn shoes. Im not affiliated with it. I had a very good returns experience when returning shoes.
Of course there are lasts that are wider than others from the same maker, that’s not what I was saying. I was referring to a lot of brands where that have lasts that fit the exact same where the only difference is the shape of the toe.
@@v_r_ Double breast suits really stand out when you wear them right very memorable and unless you have several in your wardrobe people will be like didn't you just wear that yesterday when it was more like a month ago 😆 but in all seriousness I think I like the look of one button and two button suits much more.
What do I know about those "Wild Eyed Southern Boys" well they seem all "Caught Up in You" What I wouldn't be caught up in is a double breasted coat. If you got one I would "Hold on loosely" maybe even let go.
Double breasted to me is something you gotta earn. Not everyone can pull it off. I feel like you would either have to have a strong personality, a special skill/occupation, be older/more mature or be unusually attractive or unusual looking to really pull it off, Otherwise it looks like a costume.
