I am 76yo I can say quickly how I became an atheist....I read the bible. I was a Baptist, Ecumenical, Catholic.....until about age 65. then studied the bible and said, this crap makes NO fu-king sense.

*acknowledge it I avoid "accept" because people use it with God and Jesus, and I avoid "understand" because I understand the religious mindset as well (I just think it's tweaked). "Acknowledge" just treats it as reality.

When i first found an atheist vid i hid from it and tried to pray it away. Didn't work. Around a month ago i fully converted at 13 after my last prayer (That wasn't forced at school) The prayer was: "God if you are out there please give me a sign. Anything please. I got no response.. After a month i fully accepted it and now i am a proud (closeted) atheist bisexual.
What the hell is "lack of belief in a deity?" I have never heard that phase, "lack of belief in (blank)" If someone asked you if it was going to rain, would you answer "I have the lack of belief that it will rain." Also what is the opposite of "lack of belief in a deity." Do theists "have the belief in a deity" or they "don't have the lack of belief in a deity?"

I'm an anti-theist. I actively oppose religion. I am against religion, as it hurts so many people, including myself. I'm basically a more active atheist, if you will. of course if someone were to come to me with clear evidence of a god, i wouldn't deny it's existence, but I would still not worship that god. I would merely acknowledge it's existence.
I feel so old, he's younger than me. This is the first of the youtubers I watch that post this kinda content that is younger than I am. That is actually really awesome, proving that we do not have to wait to be outspoken until we are older. Go you!

Here's a video idea! It'd be really cool if you could do a video on the varying perspectives of Atheism, like what does it mean to religious people, what does it mean to people who don't particularly care, or even what it means to Atheists. Even in these three categories it can differ, and i think the stigma that can surround Atheism stems from the ambiguity of the term. Defining it from a few different perspectives might open more people up to the idea. Just a thought, thank you for your time!

In the midst of my youtube binge I have found this channel. I am beyond happy. I am currently fifteen. I was raised by a traditional Roman Catholic family. I became atheist around age 13 when I realized that a truly loving omnipotent god wouldn't create a world like ours but I refused to got to church after age 5 because of my anxiety. I can't trust people or ideas easily because of my anxiety so things that defy logic are kind of hard for me to handle. Although you and most of the people are two or three years older than me it's nice to see such a gathering of young people who think more deeply and speak more eloquently than most of the adults I know. Thank you for this kind of content

I'm 14 and I'll actually be 15 in a month, I'm so interested with the way you speak and explain all this because this is the way I do, I tend to do this at school and help my friends understand our lessons better, I used to be Catholic as well by the way, anyone's, i watch many of your videos and now I'm so intrigued and have been speaking to my friends about wanting to have a conversation about alot of the things you've spoke about because you'd make a great conversationalist to someone with the knowledge of this too, anyone, you make amazing videos so keep it up ^-^
I am an ex-muslim and i didn't really believe in god from a very young age but i officially became an atheist when i was 11 or 10(i just turned 18 this month).
Man I'm 43 and I wish I was as clear spoken as you are - at any age. Also I find your "don't challenge other people's beliefs unless they challenge yours" stance surprisingly mature.

Great channel, and congrats on 20,000 I believe what you said about not attacking Christians (or others of religion) unless challenged should be a fundamental aspect of being an Atheist. At the same time I agree atheism is not an congregation of people or a solid doctrine (it should be a complete lack there of), the advice should be passed around, like you are doing now, to not persecute as Christians have been doing to others for centuries. It kind of negates the very reason a lot of us ex-Christians have left: because we had questions and were either ignored or persecuted.
You are such an intelligent person. I would love to just talk with you about life and science but because of my age and not so good English I'm afraid that I won't get that change.
