@@arijitsinghislove9841 السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته My dear brother, not all the rules are listed in the Quran. If so, then could you please show me how much zakat I need to give in the Quran, or how many salahs i need to do each day, and how I perform hajj? Allah is All Knowing, and purposefully left these key details out of his glorious book. And so we must look into the hadiths to find the answer, otherwise we will be following our whims and desires.

@@bani_adam001 yes we follow the Hadiths, which support the Koran. For example Allah oders us to pray. So we need to find the Hadiths, which show us how to pray. That is right, since it got mentioned in the Koran. The Issue with Music is, that it is not clearly mentioned in the Koran and pls dont say in Surah Luqman. Thats a lie and idk who started this lie first wallahu a3lam. Since it isnt mentioned in the Koran, we cant make a new rule with a single hadith. There gotta be a context behind this, which we dont know. In addition, i can give you a lot of hadiths, where the prophet allowed the music. I studied the topic music in Islam and i was so shocked about how ignorant those ppl are, who prohibited music. I even found out, that this hadith, which looks like it prohibites music, is even weak. Ibn Hazm a very famous scholar said that the chain is broken there and it cannot be seen as a strong hadith. This is just a little taste of my arguments. I have much stronger arguments in my storage, but i dont to make this long. Do yourself a favour and make your own research. You will find a lot of interesting things, which those scholar you follow, didnt tell you about music;)

I'm muslim, and I'm proud of it! However, I used to swear a lot mostly out of anger and listen to music that had swearing in it, in general, i'm a music addict and in this situation I'm really stressed out. This isn't the first video I have watched trying to figure out whether music is haram or not. I have stopped swearing! And tried to listen to minecraft and lofi music. And it worked successfully! However, I really can't stop listening to music, because it really helps me be in peace! Some people say that as long as it doesen't drag you away from Allah then it's all good. But of course, you can't just hear that from one person and think it's okay. Some scholars have also said that tambourines are halal instruments. The best I personally can do is listen to music, think more of this and still keep my heart towards Allah because I love him too much!

Islam is already based on charged and on challenging the human desires. Not the Salafis who introduced this. Islam came to salsify God, not people in particular. And Allah says in the Quran: وعسى أن تكرهوا شيءا وهو خير لكم وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون So It means that there will be something that people hate, yet they should ignore it in front of their love of Allah. And unlike what he said in the video, you won't die if you stop listening to music. Once I discovered music is illegal, instantly I have thrown it away. Society shall adapt to religion not religion shall adapt to society as the religion is complete, and the society is incomplete as It is not as divine as the religion of Islam, and It is directed by lusts and desires and what the self admires.

@@MohammedMehdiTBER brilliantly said. But do you believe there should be a high standard of proof for things to be haram? If so, there isn’t any good enough proof to make all Music haram. Only certain songs with disgusting lyrics are haram. Not music.
@mohammedmehditber1
@mohammedmehditber1 2 года назад
@@introspectivex8346 The hadith in Sahih Al Bukhari narrated by Abi Mosa AlSharie is a high standard proof that music is haram and none of the Sahaba nor was the prophet Muhammad SAW tolerating it. Yet they were calling it: مزمار الشيطان، ورقية النفاق، ورقية الزنا، واللهو واللغو، والباطل والزور، والمكاء والتصدية، وقرآن الشيطان ومُنبت النفاق في القلب، والصوت الأحمق والصوت الفاجر. And Also when we say something is halal, we are talking also in behalf of God Still, if you studied your whole life the topic of music, It doesn't matter but bring out your knowledge and arguments and discuss them and prove your claim. Furthermore, even though if it was not that clear is haram or from the similar, we take it as haram in accordance with the order in Hadith: Al Halal Bayen wel Haram Bayen where the prophet Muhammad SAW ordered us to prevent ourselves from the similar not to fall in the Haram, and we are not feeling. Moreover, Still if there is no text forbids something in particular, It is forbidden as long as It damages the man. And music is damaging the mind and faking the feelings, and It is like drugs, so It takes the judgment of drugs. No need for the thing to have the same name to be forbidden, yet It has to share the same effect.

What? So is Shabir ally the one who makes the halal or haram or is it Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala? Lets see the statements of th First scholars of Islam and their take on this. The Sahaba and specifically Abdullah ib Mas'ood, Abdullah ibn Abbas and Abdullah Ibn Umar ibn Al Khattab radiallahu anhumum, The one the Prophet alayhi salatu wa salam told to learn the Quran i.e Ibn Mas'ood, the Son of Umar, Abdullah who is known for being strict upon the Sunnah and the cousin of the Propher Abdullah ibn Abbas ibn Abd Mudallib, the Imam of Quranic Tafsir commented on the verse in Surah Al Luqman that singing and music is haram according to Allah subhamahu wa ta'ala. These are no joke. This was mentioned by other Sahaba and this can be found in Ibn Kathir's Tafseer and its stated by Ibn Al Qayyim rahimahullah. So the Sahaba, the Tabien, tabi tabien and the biggest Scholars of Ahl Sunnah have a consensus on this that singing and playing instruments is haram. So, should we take them or Shabir Ally?

Allah has made which is lawful and unlawful in his book, the Qur'an set out in detail. when you forbid something from the hadith which is not made unlawful for you in the Qur'an, you are taking another law which is not God's, therefore it is as if you are associating partners with him. you are trangressing the verses of Allah.

Tayumur Raja The same people who you deem to be "untrustworthy" are actually the ones who transmitted the Qur'an to us. Do you know about "ijaaza"? Its a certificate for finishing the memorization of the Qur'an that contains a chain from the memoriser to the Prophet ( pbuh ) himself! That's like a chain of 1420+ years! How can you then consider hadeeth to be unreliable? If ahadeeth are unreliable then please interpret these verses for me without any hadeeth or historical context : Surah Qamar, ayah 1-2 (The hour has drawn nigh and the moon has been cleft asunder. And if they see a sign, they turn away and say "passing magic") and, Surah Israa (also called bani israeel), ayah 1 : Exalted is He who took His slave at night from Masjid Al Haram to Masjid Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed so that We may show him Our signs). These are just a few verses that are impossible to explain without hadeeth and make a case for the authenticity of ahadeeth. More examples are Surah Anfaal, Surah Ahzaab. I'm in no mood to argue and neither do I have the time to do so (I have a lot of studies pressure rn). And these debates are not beneficial. Every debate ends with the opposing person going silent. One can not, in any way, debate against hadeeth unless one is, of course, unbearably ignorant. I'll finish by just a few questions: 1. Do you pray the salah? The Qur'an mentions salah but Allah never mentioned how to pray. If you do, you're just self hypocritical. If you don't and consider the salah to be an invention of the Muslims and not obligatory then remember, whoever has that view, is according to almost all scholars, not worthy to call himself a Muslim. Salah is one of the pillar of Islam and whoever abondans it, abandons Islam. 2. Do you give zakah? Qur'an does mention how much to give. If you do, the you're self hypocritical. If you dont then remember Khulufa Rashideen did jihaad against those who didn't give zakah. I leave here. May Allah guide us all.

Sannay Muhammad Dear brother. I realise you are not asking me to reply to your statement, but I would like to add my 2pence worth. Firstly, we do not require man made hadith to understand the Quran. Allah testifies in the Quran that He has made it easy to understand, written in Araby mubeen. The word Arabic literally translates as "clear" "precise." Allah uses allegorical aswell as factual language(3:7). The splitting of moon verse is not referring to the moon but to the nation that used the moon on their flag. Meaning the nation would be split because they were enemies to the muslims. As for masjid Al Aqsa... it did not exist at the time of Rasool- Allah! Please read history. In Arabic Aqsa means, "remote, or distant" The verse is not referring to the present day Masjid Al Aqsa in Jerusalem. We rather believe man made hadith than understand Al Quran. 3rdly, How to pray is not in Quran.... So true. Allah states that He has not omitted anything from the Book( Quran), hence, how come detailed description of wudhu is given yet method of praying is not? Allah does not require a set method of rituals to contact Him. He does not need an appointment time! Call upon Allah whenever you need. Salat doesn't just incorporate praying but is the establishment of a System that fascilitates the means to carry out ALL the Commands of Allah swt. Jzk

Sannay Muhammad P.S The man-made mockery of 2.5% zakat is a joke. In the west we have taxes that are minimum of 10% most are paying 20% tax. Muslim countries would never prosper if its citizens only gave 2.5%. The Quran makes it quite clear that all that is excess to our needs is to be given. Futthermore Zakat is not the money we as citizens would be giving. You may be interested to know that Zakat is in fact the whole Economic System. Aqee-mu Salat, Aqee- mu Zakat.... Establish the systems, government systems. They translate the verses in the Quran as "establish prayer"! Sorry but you cannot not establish prayer. We can "do" prayer or "carry out" prayer. The word establish comes from establishment! First we need the correct establishment.... A central government!

*To all Muslims*, if you are seeing this hear me out and just quickly read this message as a reminder (try to read all) Trust me this fangirling/fanboying does not get you anywhere in the long run. (I am not hating on BTS at all, just a reminder to my fellow brothers and sisters). They are merely humans and obsessiveness can easily take over people as it does to lots of Armys (and to me), but tbh true peace does not come from their music, but the word of Allah (God). I also used to be really into music, but true peace is found when you let go even if you think this music is different (meaning does not support the use of alcohol, using drugs, or objectifying women). I used to be a huge fan for 4 years, and I tried to improve my depression by constantly listening to BTS and other groups, but in the end I saw no real benefit even though the music seemed to make me happy, it was momentary (very short) and then life went back to the depressive state. Trust me true peace is when you take God's path... try it, just listen to the Quran consistently with translations whenever you feel like listening to music (I suggest Ibrahim Walk's translation with Mishary Alafasy)... Cause I used to be that one to say that this type of music is not haram. Truth is, it is probably not haram, but just think about it; is it getting you closer to Allah or farther away. Without you knowing you will see yourself wasting your time even if it is not haram. I sincerely do not mean to hate or call Armys out, but I just want to let you know that the solution to the emptiness or depression you have is not the music. You may think it is, but it is temporary happiness that will you lead further away from God in the long run. Now the real Question needs to be asked... Don't you want to hear what God is trying to tell you (from the Quran)? Or is wasting your time on these things more beneficial, because the average teen spends 5 hours listening to music every day; 45% of it including inappropriate lyrics that will damage your brain and thinking pattern even if you think it won't. So ask yourself, isn't it time for change? Assalamualykum, sorry if it sounded preachy, but my only point is to help the youth like me who are suffering from depression and they think music will fully solve their problems.

Music is harmonious frequency of auditory capacity. It is the most versatile, prominent, and predominant divine language that resonates through the cosmos. If that language is used to convey a message of malevolence insecurity, lust, darkness, and depravity, it is haram, only because it deprives the soul of the transcendance it is destined to strive for. There is music that drains you and music that empowers you. There is literally instrumental music that brings you closer to the Creator and inspires the will to righteousness, as well asmusic that brings you closer to hedonism and to shirk. It is not music itself, but the genre and type you choose to listen to. To put all sound waves, hence music, per se, in one basket, is like banning all liquids> coffee, alcohol, juices... they're all liquid but they're not all bad. It’s simple most music is influenced by shaitan, as it glorifies things which are forbidden like drugs, killing, zinnah etc. There is an argument of what about classical music or soothing music and a simple reply would be that if the Quran isn’t soothing you or the first and foremost thing you would want to listen to then something is wrong with your imaan. Music is unavoidable in the sense of background of the mall or tv or even in adverts etc however for us it is best we avoid it even going into debates of tv, movies etc. If it creates a fitnah and turns the heart away from the straight path try to avoid it, don’t make it a central point of living. If you look deep into music it definitely turns the heart, you start imagining things scenarios haram things based on the lyrics, maybe incites unnecessary anger, violence or cravings within you. So it’s best to be careful of all things and stay clean and pure and if that makes us look radical well, the system of shaitan was designed to get into every aspect of life so we try to avoid it all. ‘In the remembrance of Allah does the heart find peace’ as it states in the Quran. Dhikr, Salah, listening to Quran that should be flowing through our minds and heart. The prophet said every time we had a chance to converse and we didn’t glorify Allah or mention Islam then that would be a major regret in the akirah. Life here is gonna be so small it’s not radical it’s not a prison Infact to be a person who doesn’t need music 24/7 to live life that’s real freedom because we dwell on the reality and that’s glorifying Allah. May Allah bless us all on the straight path ameen.

To just say "if the Quran isn't soothing you first" is a cop out. Anyone who has ever played a musical instrument knows how difficult it is to do. For me I consider music to be an art and skill. I played the Saxophone for many years and practiced for hours. I would never say to anyone "just read the Quran 24/7". That is unrealistic. And there is a huge different between let's say Lady Gaga and The Beach Boys. Not all music is degenerate. Of course, if all you do is listen to music and it makes you forget to pray then that is a problem. but for me, I see no issue with listening to music you know is appropriate. And of course it should not consume your life. And if you play an instrument, you should also do it responsibly and not do things like perform at bars or clubs.

My opinion for if music is haram or halal- No. It's neither haram nor halal. Stop dividing topics into halal and haram. All this time, in all Islam communities i joined people always fell into this dumb mistake. Halal, Haram, Halal, Haram, Halal, Haram. NO! Just no! Everything has to be divide into these two things accourding to those people, i mean everything: Painting, talking, drawing, sculpturing, music... everything... The real answer is it depends: Thats it *I T D E P E N D S* It depends based on your intention, your feeling, people's reaction, goodness, quality, what it promotes, etc... You can't just call something haram or halal like that unless it's mentioned in Quran or by our Prophet (peace be upon him) Or we will end up saying "Is breathing haram?" "Is pooping haram?" "Is oxygen haram?" "Is moving my arm haram?" We will end up being stupid dolls who cannot think by himself and always needs a scholar, this is why we wrote "Is Music Haram?" in here first place, we cannot think by ourselves so much that we wrote "Is Music Haram?". Idle speech refers to music here and this understanding comes from the sahaba. 1.ABDULLAH IBN UMAR 2.ABDULLAH IBN ABBAS[He was the cousin of prophetﷺ(May Allah be peace upon him)] And prophet ﷺ(May Allah be peace upon him)made a dua from Allah(SWT) for ABDULLAH IBN ABBAS to give HIM the understanding of the religion and teach him interpretation of quran. And can the dua of prophet ﷺ(May Allah be peace upon him) be ever rejected? No!! So,ABDULLAH IBN ABBAS able to interpret the quran because Allah teach him. 3.ABDULLA IBN MASUD . SURAH53:VERSE61 SURAH17:VERSE 64 SURAH28:AYAH55 SURAH25:AYAH72 These are some evidence from Quran about music. AND BROTHER IF U DON'T HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS U SHOULDN'T SAY EM EITHER. Not really. He heeds both. Everyone knows that Hadiths usually come to clarify or elaborate on what the Quran has already mentioned, but not all Hadiths are authentic. Unless we are sure of their authenticity, we cannot base anything upon them. It is unjust to the Prophet (PBUH). It is also common knowledge that the Quran always come first, and the Sunna' (or Hadith) directly second.

We as Muslim Scholars should not hide truth. This Hadith is important for two reasons. Number one it answers the question and number two it is clearly the case as shown in the video. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zina, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhari ta’liqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsul by al-Tabarani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Sahihah by al-Albani, 91) Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is a sahih hadith narrated by al-Bukhari in his Saheeh, where he quoted it as evidence and stated that it is mu’allaq and majzum. He said: Chapter on what was narrated concerning those who permit alcohol and call it by another name.

So if song and musical instruments in every home is a sign of Quyamah, how can music and song be good things? All signs of Qayamah, big or small, go against Allah's pleasure. So the fact that the above is clearly mentioned in Hadeeth, suggests songs and musical instruments are to be avoided.

If Shabir states that there are hadiths which indicate that music is haram and Muslim societies in the past obeyed this and now he needs to "go back" to re-examine these hadiths and arrives at the conclusion that they don't make sense with life today, should this not be applied to all hadiths and to the text of the Quran as well? It appears that there is a wide discrepancy in what exactly the hadiths state and large variations in their interpretations. Muslims really need to start using their Allah provided intellects.

Shiek, with all due respect, we can not try to be politically correct and say its not haram. i understand that this might lead people to think islam is extremist, but the reality is that "Music is Satan's tool" to drive people away from ALLAH, i would like to think that conservative Christians might think so too even though they have a wrong concept of God. my advise is to tell people why it could be haram or at least sinful for the reasons mentioned but not completely legitimize it or say its ok

In our present day, music has really played an important role in people’s culture and freedom of expression, music is a little bit like a legend and we as all humans are attracted by beautiful sounds like birds singing etc. Usually, what is bad has to do with the lyrics which are used. Music is forbidden, Haram in our religion, in one Hadith it is mentioned that once Prophet PBUH was accompanied by some sahaba and they listened flute sound which is music, so he PBUH blocked his ears with fingers to avoid it until they passed the area and music faded. For reference you can search online. Furthermore, I think for many things in Islam we should not search for logic everywhere, why don't we follow our Allah and show us love to Allah by only accepting what he forbade? Why it is so hard for us to follow and show love to Allah and prophet PBUH without demanding logics for everything.

Dark Killer it’s still haram. The Quran is more relaxing brother... Listening to music makes one more susceptible not only to sin, but to *enjoy* disobeying Allah swt May Allah swt guide us all

Amin “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allaah…” [Luqmaan 31:6] “[Allaah said to Iblees:] And befool them gradually those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allaah’s disobedience)…” [al-Israa’ 17:64] “Do you then wonder at this recitation (the Qur’aan)? And you laugh at it and weep not, Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)” [al-Najm 53:59-61] Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The interpretation of the Sahaabah and Taabi’in, that ‘idle talk’ refers to singing, is sufficient. This was reported with saheeh isnaads from Ibn ‘Abbaas and Ibn Mas’ood.(www.google.com/amp/s/islamqa.info/amp/en/answers/5000) It is forbidden and is not permissible to play musical instruments or listen to songs and tunes. The majority of scholars say that it is haraam, including the four imams of fiqh: Abu Haneefah, Maalik, al-Shaafa’i and Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on them all). The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will be people who will regard as permissible adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5590). See also: al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani (91). Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This hadeeth indicates that musical instruments are haraam; this includes all types of instruments. Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (11/535).

The best music is the Quran. Stop having different opinions like I'm only listening to this and this, no bad words, just peaceful just classical, JUST LISTEN TO THE QURAN, The Prophet said that among his ummah there will be people who consider musical instruments as permissible.

If there is no general ruling on something from Qur'an Kerim and Hadiths, then everything detrimental for mind and body (negative) is Haram. Including music. If it's bad song, it's Haram. It asked his opinion which I appreciate. Selam Aleikum,

This is the third video of the Dr.'s I have listened to regarding legal rulings and in all three he has gone directly opposite of classical scholarship - of all four schools. It may be that the Dr. is a master when it comes to debating non-Muslims but he is clearly NOT someone Muslims should be seeking their understandings of the Shariah or Islamic rulings from.

Alex Jones I can definitly recommend Nouman Ali Khan and Mufti Menk, definitly check them out. And always do hear what other scholars say aswell. Scholars are all people they can make mistakes, so do listen to arguments of others as well.

Sardar Khan How do you pray then brother? Or do you disregard prayer because you arent instructed how to do so in the Quran? Heres you, an internet viewer angry at sheikhs who have dedicated their lives to understanding Islam, the Quran, and the sunnah. Have you even read the Quran fully in Arabic? Or even in English? Say yes you have all you like, but that doesnt change the fact you are in comparison to these sheikhs, a nobody on this issue, and for you to try condemn them and associate shirk with them sayinh they are pretending to be prophets of Allah is a major sin. Educate yourself fully on a matter before talking the way you have, and understand how the Quran was compiled, and then read how the Hadith were compiled to understand better.

Sardar Khan There is more than one way to perform the prayer, as long as you do the obligatory part and have authentic reference for the part which has several options to choose from. Btw, how do you know how Moses (as) or Isa (as) did pray? And don't forget that asking for forgiveness and not obligatory worship are different than the 5 daily prayers which are farz (obligatory). You can worship in many ways, even with additional prayers, you can pray sunnah or even pray at night. But understand that the daily 5 obligatory prayers are supposed to be done as the last prophet (saws) did. It doesn't matter which of the 4 sunni teaching you choose from. My folk is hanafi, and my best friend's folk is maliki, so I know the differences, they are minor stuff. The prophet did not always do everything the same, always, but everything he did was correct, that means there are some options...

@@amine5761 and almost 100% of the time when people are listening to it there is music in the background lol most Muslims pick and choose what music is and what it isn't. Music is Music. It's either allowed or its not. I listen to music. But that's just me. Everybody will do whatever they feel is right at the end of the day.
