Q&A / life updates | why I’m no longer a gymshark athlete… 

I've seen so many people dropped from gymshark and it's such a shame, the only people they've kept are those who are literally ripped which isn't realistic at all. I'd much rather see clothes on normal bodies, so much for their approach to being inclusive!

It is so sad to see how they went from being inclusive to being very selective in a non productuve way. You are such a professional and so strong for still being so respctful despite the unfairness, so more power to you. Hopefully this will bring you so many more offers and success

Girl!! I'm shocked. It just confirms what I always thought, they used influencers to MAKE their brand and now that they're on top they're "throwing" you away. Unbelievable. I never did like them if I'm honest but always loved you getting on their platform. On to better things Queen 🙌

I am glad you shared why the video wasn't posted. It is their loss. I actually started to think of purchasing from Gymshark after a few hours RU-vid content creators were with them. My new stance is if you want to be eliteist and drop people working to improve their physical and mental health, you don't get to have my money. I will support you and how you are honest, kind, and help us see that there is more than one way to live our lives.

You are my absolute favourite, the only influencer I actually care about as a human being and want to see updates from as I would a friend, and I really would love to make it to your picnic this year if possible! Re Gymshark, I hope you’re now able to seek new and exciting opportunities with other sportswear clothing brands with the end of your Gymshark ambassadorship. I really feel this is an interesting approach for Gymshark as I know some influencers they are continuing to work with are definitely not ‘athletes’. I would say (personally) that you should post a full video about your experience with Gymshark, which you’re more than entitled to do, despite what Gymshark employees may have said, unless your ambassadorship contract explicitly has a morality clause which prevents you from doing that for X amount of time. You’ve got nothing to loose, unless you plan to (hopefully) work with them again at some point. Whatever you decide to do, do it with your head held high, you’re amazing, and they probably didn’t deserve you anyway x

I feel like they didn't even give you a proper reason, just seems like some off- hand excuse rooted in ignorance & fatphobia/ anti- weight gain journey. What baffles me the most is that there are other athletes that rarely post especially gym/ workout content so this feels unjust. I know you would never have a bad word to say about anyone and would never want to be on negative terms so i am clarifying that this is just my opinion and how it seems from the outside. Either way you're amazing and it's absolutely their loss, a company that isn't inclusive isn't deserving of creators like you. Much love

I’m sorry but it’s GymSharks loss…if they’re not willing to have genuine, hard working, loyal & inclusive people representing their brand then that’s on them. That must’ve been so difficult to manage so well done for getting through it so maturely & respectfully…sounds like you were treated pretty awfully by them, & it deffo could’ve been quite triggering so well done you. At least we can see the real GS now & it’s not a brand I’d want to be supporting anymore. I feel like Tala or such brands are going to boom from this. Absolutely Gymsharks loss, why have your team as athletes when you’re trying to get your audience to be anyone interested in fitness 😅 less people will buy their products when it’s just what society thinks is ‘ideal’ bodies wearing them IMO. Other brand deals will come along that value you much more I’m sure ❤
