I see alot of women like this these days. They always get depressed when they turn 40 because they regret their decision of not having kids and now its too late for them to have them even if they tried due to being too old. They wish they had a husband and a sweet child that hugs them every morning and tells them "goodnight mommy I love you" in the evening. In your 20s its fine to not care about marriage and stuff but this "strong independent woman" meme has really gone too far and can be very damaging to women. You have to watch out to not become a 40 year old single lady filled with regret wishing she lived her life differently.
@manm2465
@manm2465 3 года назад
@@fiubnl4990 yes. But there are those who don't regret such choices and living happily. Maybe it's all about what you can handle and what you can't. There are some people who have had enough with their toxic families. And living alone sometimes works wonders in their lives. Of course it's hard for the majority to understand this. But we should remember that this world is diverse and people do live off the route. And one more thing . Living alone , being alone and loneliness are all completely different things. I too have seen the regretting people, but I have seen the happy ones too and getting rid of toxic people in their lives made them happier. Have a nice day

I love the way you think. Women do NOT need others to live life to their fullest. We can live happily by ourselves (or with a pet) and we do not need to be involved with men or children. I do think we lose a lot from marriage. It's a hard image to keep up as well. Although I do want to get married, I just hope I will be super careful with who I choose and what I do in my life. I love how straight forward you are with everything, yet still able to leave a simple and lovely lifestyle. The way you think makes me respect you a lot, thank you ^^

Sorry to break it to you, but you can't choose the right one, when marriage as an idea is anti-female thing. Marriage can't be good or made right. The sooner you will understand what I mean, the sooner you will stop dreaming (about men) and start dreaming about your own life, and making it true.
@sovaponoc9970
@sovaponoc9970 4 года назад
@@stevenbotwin That's not necessarily true. It depends on where you live and how progressive the people around you and your future are. Marriage is and should be a promise that you will share your life with the person you choose. This means working together in every aspect of your life (emotional, house, finance, children). The only sad thing is how many people still hold on to old values and traditions that are not necessary.

I love her answer to "don't you want to live with your family?'. Her answer was a firm "No" instead of "Yes....BUT...". I think it's hard to be firm to your answers these days when everyone tends to conform to society norms where everyone thinks being with your immediate family will provide you joy and happiness. Watching her videos made me want to move out of my family home badly (if only money isn't an issue for me -__-")

Same here! I was cricitzed the whole time for not wanting to live with my family. I admit I wanted to leave before becacuse I wanted to run away from the problems I wasn't mature yet to handle. But now I'm sure it's just how I am and that's the best solution. I would never be able to pretend that I should live with my family for any reason approved by the society. I just can't.

dont worry. u can do it. i was in similar situation and been dreaming of my own place...and after i left...i actually went back and thought about it - i actually was searching for 10 years to leave my parents home! finally got the opportunity, and the timing was right. it was scary to do everything on my own, and being able to afford it but i knew i had to leave. so i really needed courage. even though i was scared and doubtful of my abilities to keep the apt. i just worked so hard, and now im free and happy. so you can do it. you can do anything as long as you think you can and put your mind to it. right now it might be very hard, someone once told me, when ur living with people you didnt choose, and u have to stay bc of money, u just have to endure them. of course, after leaving my family, i understand now how they think, but still doesnt mean they have the right to control u. once u leave and live ur independant life, they cant tell u what to do. thats when i got my confidence and it is good to have good friends next to u that can u can depend on their sound advice as well. stay strong, u will get there. just wait for the right opportunity - even though it is scary, just be confident in urself that you can make it - or just be determined that you will make it. and ideas that will help u fund ur life will come to u.

I truly enjoyed your video. I am in my mid 70s and have lived alone most of my adult life. I find it quite satisfying. I've no desire then or now for marriage. Being on my own and fulfilling my dreams in life are what is most important to me. I can be quite the hermit sometimes. Group activities and lots of people do not make me happy either. something about this video makes me feel empowered. i am still a girl in her teens who doesn't know much about the world. I've always liked to be on my own doing things. But people around me always told me working together is better or that I need a man to become a woman or that i can only live my life to the fullest with only others. I've always felt pressured to do things with other people and often felt guilty when working alone. I am not very good with my words but this video has definitely put my mind at ease, pushed me to live my life to the fullest, and that i can be a powerful woman on my own. Thank you sueddu

When time goes on you'll feel it. You'll feel a confidence about your life style. You can be a single or be in marriage if you want. I don't want to get married, I'm 26 yo, and I definitely sure on it. I don't want to be a mother. I don't want it all my life. Listen to yourself more than others.
@EllyKusumastutiDamayanti

Living life to the fullest doesn't mean you can just achive it when you are with someone else, it doesn't have to be that way, being with someone else or with many people actually won't make your life better either, for someone who like being alone, it'll drain their energy when he or she is with so many people, at some point also they can't be themselves. But... being married or not, the most important thing is that you have space for yourself, to listen to yourself, to get to know more of your self, in order to have self improvement. Like me, I'm married, but the most important for me is that I don't have to deal a lot of things with my husband, eventhough when you consider 'your family is important' is a good thing, but still... I do what's important for me, listen to myself more & don't want to be interrupted by surrounding. Living life to the fullest for me is when I listen more to myself 🙂 and of course my husband is the love of my life, pure love will give you space & let you just being yourself.

I used to be exactly like you and people around me were the same like in your situation. Now that I'm 21 I realized...I was right all along and others were wrong. The more time passes, the more I realize how much quality of life I find being my own person, being alone, and being independent. I'm so glad I fought against my family from getting me married. I'll finish university soon enough and move out to live alone and finally be at peace and have full control of my environment without having to worry about what the other person under the same roof will think. I wish you all the best! You're a very smart person!

I started watching your videos cause right now, my life is in turmoil. I am a 55 year old gay man. I lost my mom a year ago to brain cancer. I was her caregiver. We were very close. She was taken slowly from me. This past year after her death, I've mourned. I had to move out of her house, get a new job very quickly after her death. Basically the last year has been a chaotic, temporary, mess. My roommate, who I've known for years, has a substance abuse problem. Then COVID happened... I caught COVID, suffered long term complications and just lost my job to a lay-off due to COVID. So I'm here - longing for the peace in life you show us in your videos. The attention to daily life, the simple, beautiful detail, of living in simple serenity - living alone. It's been TWENTY years since I've lived alone and honestly, I long for it now. YEARN for it. My mom's estate will soon be settled and my plan is to move from this place, get an apartment all buy myself in Boston and live a simple life with my mom's dog, (who I adopted when mom died). I want to live again and focus on me now. You've given me inspiration -

I love this vlog. I am 33 and have lived alone for 2 years now. It is the best decision I have ever made. I have also been single for the whole time. Each day, I feel like I get to know myself a little better. I understand what is important to me and what is not. I know what I like, not just what everyone around me likes. I am less anxious because I care less about pleasing other people. Yes, there are times when it can be lonely, but they are easily solved. I am still learning small things, like how to decorate in a way I enjoy, but learning these things about myself is fun

I have been going through a rougher patch in my life trying to find things that I enjoy, and distracting myself to avoid being calm... I know it wasn't really the purpose but this video made me feel calm and realize that it can be a good thing and a healing thing to just relax, and candidly take in life as it is- shifting as I need to and not feeling bad when I'm not forcing things to happen I appreciate it, thank you

hello Sueddu, this is Lari Kamelia 😅, when translating your videos, I see that the life you live is a separate art form. When I translated your video of questions and answers today, I seemed to have clicked inside. You follow what you like, and about marriage, you really have such an opinion, I support. You do everything for yourself and that’s right, life is only, and you need to live the way you think is right. thanks a lot🙂😘

Masterful! What a great artistic idea to have a non-speaking vlog become so interactive with just random sounds. You're content is inspiring and as a freelancer myself, I can relate 80% of the time aside from the fact that you're alone because I live with my partner and our 2 dogs. Keep it up! RU-vid recommended your channel to me today. This is the first video of yours I watched and I am thoroughly impressed by your raw honesty about you, your life, and your feelings. It is said that the only way a person can truly love themselves is to be alone. I went through two bad marriages, the last one ending in 2013, and I can honestly say that while I do get lonely sometimes, I'm much happier being by myself. Your cinematography skills are excellent and I really enjoyed how you shot this video. You have a real talent for it! I look forward to watching the rest of your videos.

Sean Dennis Such a thoughtful comment. I’ve read thousands of comments, and I never leave comments, but your raw honesty is impressive too. I’ve heard a little girl once say, “hurt people, hurt people”. And in your case, “healed people, heal people”. Sending hugs 🤗

When I grow up I would like to have a life like you, basically I don't want to live with my family due to the fact that we are not compatible, I would also like to be independent and not have to live on my father's money. Your lifestyle inspires me a lot. You teach me how to work hard. Me enseñas a trabajar duro.

Thank you for helping us understand you so much better through this Q&A video! I feel that I am very similar to you but unlike you I didn’t have the courage to move out and stay alone because I was worried about the finances. Now I’m married so I missed the chance to experience living alone and it’s always a regret of mine. It also took me a long time to follow my passion for myself because I’d been following my mother’s career advice. I really wish I had myself figured out earlier like you did, I could have accomplished so much more with my younger self. You will be a good role model to younger girls! For now, I want to study Korean hard, and one day I want to be able to read your books and reply to your comments in Korean! 💜

Although right now if I'm dating someone, I'm not planning to get married or have children ever. I think self-love is more important and life can be wonderful without those two things. Not everyone can understand it, in fact I always feel judged for thinking this way, but for a long time now what others say doesn't affect me anymore. I hug you from a distance.

As I was thinking about how life would be like to live alone, I found your video in my recommendations haha. For me, my family has been really supportive and they do love me a lot. But they're so overly protective that it made me want to become more and more independent. As an Indian woman in my 20s, I've always been expected to just get married to a man who earns well and have a family. But while I do want marriage and family, I want to find the 'one' for me at my own pace. I've been in the process of finding myself and the journey has been eye opening to me! Once this pandemic goes down, I hope I get to find my own place and just live with myself. Thanks for your amazing videos!!
