On saturday got my slavia's first service done Service Cost : 3800 Alignment : 2000 Bought rear sunblind : 1200 Total around 7k Was facing some issues which got resolved but they were not upfront to resolve them, instead we need to constantly remind them and tell them to work on it. Also I told them to do only things mentioned on website in service. They were resisting to change some part in warranty but then you need to speak up. Instead of topping up coolant + water mixture they were just filling water. People were reluctant to resolve issues. All in all decent service, you need to be self aware otherwise it's job of every service center to earn money. It took around 7-8 hours. Got it done from Gurgaon sec 15 jai auto.
@12:00 For start-stop function issue in bumper to bumper traffic, just observe how hard you press your break paddle. I observed, light breaking stops the car but keeps engine running. Then if you press the break more, engine will stop. A little bit trial and practice, it works.

I bought polo 1.6 petrol 2010 in December 2022. No rusting, no rattling sound, it's interior still look new. It's touch 220km/h( my friend tested for quality purpose). One of my friends purchased new Baleno , after 1 year I see rust on left door.
Auto start stop activates only in neutral gear for MT so I am really getting mileage benefit out of it in bumper to bumper as well as on signals in city traffic.
The Virtus manual clearly states E5 or E10 fuel and to refer to the fuel tank cap for clarification. VW/Skoda have not come clean on stating whether the cars delivered from April onwards will be BS6.2 and E20 compatible. I think they should give clarity to customers like other brands are doing in explicitly stating which cars are now compatible. I know BS6.2 will not be a big deal for them but E20 compatibility needs certain parts that don't get corroded when using higher ethanol content fuel.
I got my car delivered in the first week of April. The Sales guy told us which engine will come once the car was allocated. You still have the option of cancellation if you are not happy with the engine

E20 compatbility is present on the fuel lid. So The vehicles which will be compatible for E20 for BS6-2.0 can be identified easily. I observed that on my kushaq also
We have been using VW cars from 2011 to till date.For previous models few claim that VW used full synthetic engine oil so the service cost is little bit higher side.But for 2018+ models they are using semi synthetic engine oils and VW claims they have reduced service cost.Do you have any information regarding this engine oils change.
My Ciaz Automatic is costing me 20k plus each for last 4 services. Extended warranty period was over this April and Im worried it could easily end up costing me a major amount in case anything goes wrong with any critical part like gearbox especially. The service is due every six months and if I’m paying 20k plus every six months then I’d rather go for what’s worth it and in fact is going to cost me much lesser. Booked 1.5 Slavia and now waiting for delivery next month❤

I got a call from skoda, they asked me to bring in the car for AC update and Engine update. They told me ..for sure you will see performance and milegae difference I did 720 kms today, left from Chennai to Nellore, Nellore to Ongole and back to chennai . After the update i got 17.8 kms average without cruise control. Lovely up grade from Slavia. Did you guys get the call? Plus that engine up grade is fantastic

The general rule of thumb for first service or any other for that matter is 1 year or 10-15 k kms but whichever is earlier... With petrol cars and for most ppl they drive 10 k kms or less in a year and that 15 k kms should not matter because it will be 6-8 k per year and every year we need to get the engine oil replaced even if it has done just 4-5 k kms. Please correct me if this not the case..
@@SunderdeepSingh actually sir in my Honda for 21 Dec it had only done 2.9 k kms due to lockdown and 2nd wave scare till vaccination but they said if it's due for some month then you need to get it done in the same or else it will lapse.. For 2022 Nov I had done more than 10 k kms... I know mechanically we can extend by 2 months or more but how many companies will allow us to do that??? For example if we buy a car today (Mar 19, 23) and first 3 services are free from labour... So for those labour charges free services in Honda they have fixed due dates... Is that the same case with VW/Skoda for that SVP of 4 years??? If you can answer that it will be really helpful to new VW/Skoda customers

I have recently Booked 1.0 TSi Kushaq Style But Pajhi Still the Performance , The Ride Quality and Overall Driveability of Polo Beats Kushaq although this is a New Car . I have done almost 90K Kms in Polo but Never faced any Problem till date and Secondly I have got the max mileage of 28.1Kmpl from it .

AC has always been an issue with Skoda cars. Even after an upgrade AC is still not effective as other counterparts like honda city or hyundai verna. How do you think investing so much money in a car and not getting good AC ?

My opinion is that, if you have a service center close by, defiinetly go for the same; 1) they have invested a huge sum into India 2.0 strategy ! so definitely they will not leave India. Looks like they are learning from the mistakes of Ford. 2) Can really comment on that, since I'm not in any plans to sell my car for next 10 years atleast. ( I'm in the new first self earned car vibe with the resolution of having the same for eternity for now:D ) 3) 3rd passenger if he/ she was of normal size , its comfortable for a longer drive. I have a slavia, and the car was loaded with 4 on the rear and one on the co passenger with my 2 year old son shuffling between each person's lapfor a drive of 2 hours with mixed traffic and mild highway. and none had any concerns on the comfort.

I bought car on 14-6-22 invoice of same date.. but i am getting calls from skoda cust care that my car is due for service by 31st March 2023.. how is it possible..? Is it like my car is registered as SOLD car in company database as on 31-3-23 however i bought my car on 14-6-22 so will it affect the warranty n all..?

Sir, I am confused between slavia and kushaq. Which one to buy? I like kushaq but its a little small size and has less road presence as compared to other SUVs in the segment. Slavia is good but its too long and sometimes can be difficult to find parking spaces and also seat height is lower than kushaq. I like to keep my car for atleast 5-6 years. Which one to buy out of these two? Budget is 16 lacs.
19:23 My answer to service taking so much time is previously they were selling less car let's say 1000 now its upto 3500 so more customers are there at service centre plus these are new cars they are learning while doing the job. Solution = Hire more men, open more service centres, training to the engineers.

Starting with 1st Year or 15,000 kms. to 10th Year or 1,50,000 kms. Might educate buyers so that they can Compare Service Charges with Competitors Offerings. *Maybe only than VW-Skoda can develop that Trust & Confidence of being affordable & Reasonable on comparison with others in the segment.* VW-Skoda High Maintenance Cost - Spares & Labour Charges is the most Basic & feared factor for Car Buyers in India. Because in the past history VW-Skoda Maintenance Cost were pretty high when compared to others in the segment. It's not easy for our Indian buyers to forget VW-Skoda ownership experiences.
Sunder jee u are right nahi hai.. Since 2016 I am driving elite i20 Parts quality is poor body quality as well I receiving rust on my vehicle body lost my clutch on the 21,000 thousand km and soo on brakes issues as well engine is not soo smooth aa well and soo on..

In bumper to bumper traffic when we are stopping for 5 or 10s, is it a good practice to put the gear in neutral(1.5 DSG) or keep in drive mode and keep on pressing the brake?
Can you pls check with Skoda regarding OLD infotainment system which was offering many imp features like valet mode, etc. previously used to offer in Skoda Kushaq which got removed due to some reasons from the infotainment system and no further updates was provided from the Skoda team to the end customers. THIS WAS JUST AN SOFTWARE UPDATE AND NOT RELATED TO ANY HARDWARE. Many mails dropped to Skoda India and still awaiting for their response.
The only weird thing in this car is some white tank or box like structure and silencer hanging below the rear bumper. That looks very odd. Rest is perfect in both slavia and virtus.

Can you please help me understand if this is still a value buy? Earlier dealers gave these SMPs for free as a freebie, but now they are claiming that SMPs are directly operated by Skoda and dealers do not have any hand in giving discounts.. Maruti dont loose performance after 7 years. I have 13 year old swift. 1.5lakh km done. Still no drop in mileage or performance. I will buy new car next year end. Lets see which i will get

Sir, actually you did a mistake while mentioning it incorrectly that Skoda is below in terms of Interior finishing and quality then VW because I also have both of them and to be honest Virtus is nowhere close to Slavia.
Quality of VW cars have degraded nowadays...have heard of rattling issues in vw2.0 cars and many other niggles... while my 2012 vento have no such rattling noise till now, also no EPC error , no brake and window problems...any reason or just cost cutting?

Its good car and very less maintenance, mileage in city bumper to bumper traffic is 10 to 12 and on highway 15 to 17 even some people are getting above 20 with sedate driving.
U mean virtus has a lighter steering & better material quality of products used in interior than slavia? Is it same in kushaq/ taigun too? Like taigun having better material of quality in interior than kushaq?
In long term they become sloths. Become edgy too. Out two Polo(s) both naturally aspirated has better gear shifting & slicker than our i20 Elite & Wagon R. These cars mostly start showing colors in 3-4 years. VW Skoda remains the same for a decade.
Sir, I got my Polo Tsi 1st year oil change service done this week. Bill was 3,500/- after cancelling windshield washer and lock lube spray. It took 6 hrs for this service. Since only 5000 kms running was done in 1 year, I did not opt for wheel alignment balancing - do you recommend I should get it done in next few months? And is it ok to get it done from outside or only VW service? Also, is Shell VPower petrol good? I use only VPower in polo. Better than XP95? Thank you!
My only concerns with vw/skoda are: 1. Resale value, after say 6-8 years 2. The ease of availability of parts as and when required I have a question for you. I know that 0W40 is a higher grade engine oil than what vw uses (which is 5W40). I have been using the 0W40 in my last car, and VW service center near me says, they can't put 0W40 oil even if i supply it. This is just not right. Have you had similar experience? I know 0w40 oil "isn't required". Maruti bhi 20w50 mineral oil recommend kar rhi thi meri Baleno RS keliye, but i used fully synthetic 0w40 anyway, i can feel the smoothness, the difference in driving experience. If oil meets/exceeds the company's specification of oil, don't you think the ASC should allow it?
0w40 doesn't mean it's better than 5w40, basically 0w40 is used in very cold freezing temperatures and is actually smoother on cold start for the same reason, but it's not efficient as 5w40 in summers when outside temperature is 40°C, ASCs allow 0w40 in areas where snowfall occurs basically European countries, it's just a difference in viscosity not quality, you can ruin VW engines by using 0w40 in summers

The numbers in the viscosity grading of engine oils, are on an arbitrary viscosity scale. 0 in the 0w40 indicates viscosity on that scale at optimum working temps, which is around 150-200 celsius for petrol engines and around 250C for diesel engines. The w40 part indicates the viscosity on the same scale during a complete cold start. Both 0w40 and 5w40 engine oils have same performance when we are talking about cold starts, doesn't matter winters/summers. In theory, yes, lower viscosity oils can become too thin and cause metal to metal contact causing increased wear. But i feel that this should not at all be a problem, as long as you keep the engine oil levels in check, so that they don't drop too low. The 0w40 oils are slightly expensive also(not saying more expensive, so has to be better. That's not at all true). 5w40 oil costs like 900rs per liter and 0w40 oil costs like 1050 per liter. The difference isn't much. So when the customer is requesting an oil change with 0w40 instead of 5w40, why should the company refuse? That too when customer is ready to supply the oil.

Me to middle class family se hu, Paisa Bach Bach ke kharidta hu. 22L kharche kar rhe he car pe, you feel like once you run the car for long enough, you want a decent return, taki tumhare next car/asset me tum invest kar sake. It's like a financial cushion. For eg. i had a Baleno before. Har bar me kuch cheeze me invest kar rha hun ya kuch kharche aarhe he, meri mind me tha ki mere pas 6lakh ki gadi he agar emergency he to bhejke manage kar sakta hun. You will have that peace of mind once you know you get good return.
