I can’t think of a greater individual loss to any professional sport than James Stewart to professional motocross. Players/athletes are always rotating in and out but nobody has ever had a greater impact on my interest in a sport than James. Happy to see him doing a podcast.
I still think you were the fastest and most fun to watch rider ever. I’m glad you are healthy and content. Thanks for making it real with these podcasts!
Id pay 3k for one. Dont need one tho got a 01 CR125. But ya only Yamaha YZ125 and YZ250 06 and newer hold strong value because they still make them and the parts availability is so strong. Other ones people shy away from more often and some weak shops or dealers won't touch older bikes.
I was in Texas roe your first win in 05 and I was at your last in st Louis (i believe that was your last), i was right infrony of the triple where you scrubbed past RV, I'll never forget it and it took days to get my voice back. You've literally raced the sports best and beat them all handedly... Prime RC, Chad, older MC, Dungey, RV, Roczen... what a resume, it's insane you came in the game at thr perect time period to be able to face multiple generations that were all top 5 all time arguably in supercross. You may not have as many titles as RV or RC, but you were faster indoors with better style for sure... you're my pick for best supercross racer all time, not winningest, but most talented and best. Outdoors your up there too, but I give it to RC on that one. When you picked it up he'd come back swimging for the overall, RC was an animal outdoors and you both provided us with some of the best racing ever. I remember watching you guys battling wide open and dropping into ruts without really shutting off, it was insane to see, especially in person... things you both did didnt make any sense seeing it. So thank you for all the memories and I wish you were still in your prime, you made racing so much more interesting and exciting. Wish you nothing but further success and best wishes to you and your family! #OnlyoneStew #neverduplicated #Stewable
James is the greatest rider, maybe he didn’t win massive championships but he definitely changed the sport, the way riders ride nowadays is thanks to him with his style. He change the gear industry as well with seven, all the gears were baggy and not fit and boom this guy came in with a nice fitted gear and then everyone followed. Amazing rider
Yup, no other rider literally invented a move that became mandatory for every single rider to have to do if they want to be competitive. Scrubbing is something literally every single rider on the track can do to some level nowadays, and that’s all because of James literally creating that technique out of nowhere. Dude is a legend and a half.
The Q&A is awesome. Please do more! Also if James can do some rides with guests/fellow racers and share insights and strategy during conversation with them that would rock.
Welcome home JS7 hope one day to see you come race a couple times in the year just to hit lorettas i wanna see you spank emig and rhino ( i know rhino isnt riding anymore hes done)
Next year for supercross you should join and see cause Chad Reed has already joined a Supercross so maybe it's super crossing so maybe you should too so good you still are
Please get on a bike again. You ain’t gotta race nobody. Just give us a couple parking lot wheelies or something. It would literally crash the internet.
I love this podcast but gah I hate the intro song. Hated it in the fast movies when Paul walker thing they showed at the end. And hate that bubba had to use it for his intro. Lol sorry guys
