I am a christian but i do not believe in the holy trinity because this is just an invention of the early church fathers. I am a christian because i believe in the teachings of christ and not as to its divinity. To me it is very clear in the verses of the bible that there is a Father God and a Son whom he appointed or anointed to be the messiah - a messenger. I believed that Jesus is a prophet, the annointed, by his Father God, to be the messiah. The christians have many denominations and this happens because of what they understood or belief as to the context of the bible. But what matters to me, despite the differences in doctrines, is that they believed in God and shall obey his commandments. Let them debate on the divinity of jesus to no avail as I think this is an exercise in futility because the bible itself settled the issue. It is only the people who make something out from the bible for whatever reason.

I believe in Christ as the messiah, the anointed (by who?). I am a christian because i am a follower of his teachings as written in the bible according to their respective authors like Matthew, mark, Luke, John and others. It is in his teachings that i learned that he is not God but the son of God anointed by His Father God. Nowhere in the bible stating Christ is God and also the bible says that Jesus said No one comes to the father but Through me. Is this not enough proof? Or you are persuaded by the theory of the so called Holy Trinity- 3 in one substance therefore Christ is God?

Simple answer is the previous books were for limited period of time and for specific geographical location (not the whole world) thus the duty to preserve these books were given to the followers of those prophets. And they have lost the original and instead what they kept is a cherry picked version of the revelations and put their words in it wholesale.
This man Deedat claimed he was a scholar. He didn't realize that "the Gospel" was not and never is a book. The gospel means "the good news". The Good News is that God has sent His Son to save the world from its sins - whoever comes to Jesus will receive forgiveness of all his sins and have the privilege to enter Heaven. This was what Jesus preached. It is what he preached and did that were compiled in 4 books we call "The Gospel" today. So, what is the problem of Deedat?
What we have in the Bible is what Jesus preached and did. That is why those 4 books are called "The Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John". Contrary to what Deedat says, the books are not called "The Gospel of Matthew...", But "The Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Matthew". It simply means the life, the teaching and works of Jesus Christ as written down by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Why did Deedat pervert simple issue?
Correct that the whole message of the Gospel (Injeel) of Prophet Jesus (a.s.) is not available to us presently. However the New Testament of the Holy Bible contains many direct quoted sayings of Prophet Jesus (a.s.) which could be said to form a part of the Gospel (Injeel) as delivered by Prophet Jesus (a.s.). during his lifetime. Also, in the New Testament of The Holy Bible as well as these sayings one can read about some of the lifetime events and guidance of Prophet Jesus (a.s.). The Holy Quran, which was Revealed around 610-623 C.E., requires Muslims “to believe” in previous Revelations (which undoubtedly include The Injeel, The Psalms and The Torah as they are all mentioned by name in The Holy Quran). Logically, in order to read (and thereby “to believe” in) these earlier Revelations that preceded The Holy Quran, these earlier Revelations must have been available in some written form with a reasonable degree of accuracy at that time (600-623 C.E.). Thus the question then should be to determine what were the “versions” of The Holy Bible (containing The Gospel, The Psalms and The Torah) that were widely available at that time in history - and more importantly the current day “versions” that are closest both in accuracy and in meanings to those earlier “versions” of that past time period…
The original Hebrew manuscripts were written on papyrus. How many years is the original going to last? Second, in dealing with biodegradable material, how can you tell when the very first one was written? I'm just dealing with science. Regardless of which book you like or dislike, anything written on some form of paper will have to be copied over time to preserve its contents.

One of the things I will disagree with my brother on is that its the Christian Pastors that say "The Gospel According to...". Such wording is not in the Bible itself except as its says "the gospel according to the power of God". Many people have questioned why there are so many translations, of which many will have different wording, and even softer, non-urgent language. It is the doing of the Vatican (Head of the Roman Catholic Church) and her minions where demons reside, and Satan himself is seated. It is their duty to confound all of humanity. This is why some books were removed from the Bible, because they expose the doings of Greece and Rome.

You have nothing to stand on unless you observe the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.” If anyone wants to insist Gospel in verse is Gospel of Jesus and not Gospel we have to do where is the historical evidence from when Jesus received it to Muhammad receiving Quran 5:68 600 years later???
