This is exactly why I was so happy when Andy returned to Conan for the Tonight Show and has stayed on at Conan. They were always so funny together. I was so sad when Andy left Late Night in 2000. Yeah, Conan could handle it on his own and did just fine, but I really missed this interaction between the two of them. I always loved their back and forth banter at the top of the show, before they did the desk piece each night. (That's why I've put many up on my channel.) They're both great at improv and compliment each other so well. Conan is hyper and very silly and Andy is more laid back and smart-assy and they play off each other perfectly. I hope they stay together for the rest of the run of Conan's show.

I love how one will get a little joke going, then the other will add onto it and it will go back and forth a few times. A writer's room with those two must be amazing.

I disagree completely that was a good back and forth not just Conan cracking jokes. Andy is funny and he's a real dude who doesn't BS if you hear him in interviews. I respect both of them.

i love watching (and re-watching when i feel down) this video. andy and conan have an amazing dynamic. the way they play off an idea and throw it back and forth is so fun to watch. you can tell they really enjoy working together.

1:06 I remember when Andy was on his last night on Late Night and that was the first and only time we saw Conan cry for real. I do think that Conan doesn't feel comfortable doing comedy alone. He even has sidekicks on his podcast. Meanwhile Andy does it alone on his.

Jimmy doesn't have Conan's old studio (6A), Dr. Oz has it. Jimmy's in 6B across the hall--where, if I'm not mistaken, The Tonight Show was filmed when it was in New York many years ago---before Carson took it to California. And the Dr. Oz team has done a hatchet job on Conan's beloved space---you wouldn't recognize it.

Whenever you think of Conan you automatically think of Andy. The guy is just a genius. And the chemistry between the two has always been very good. A lot of people only see him as Conan's sidekick but he's really so much more then that. I think it's very likely that Andy will go with Conan. It would be the right move. Not just because us fans want it but because it would be the right career move. The two work too well together and I really believe their journey to the top has only just begun.

having a friend who's sense of humor works particularly well with your own, usually makes for entertaining times for you and anyone else around. Conan and Andy are fuckin hilarious together, as they fuel each other's pace and imagination... cool video.

people out here think im the next conan o brien i do weord comedy bits for low income shows and this year i was honored when i get called up to host the local talent show i even joke this is one show even jay leno refused it was fun i now understand why conan loves his job as i go to thank the audience u stand there with tears in my eyes as i say every comedian dreams of having there own show and for one night i lived that dreamcinan was right good things happen to good people like me

I told you I know what "je ne sais quoi" means! I already knew what the phrase alluded to. But you said "je ne sais quoi" means "special something", and I told you that it actually means "I don't know what". "je ne sais quoi" is four words, thus it has four words translated. Leaving it at "special something" is only halfway translating it.

The fact that NBC gave Jay the 10 pm spot showed they were having second thoughts on Conan moving up. Not only would they lose all of Jay's viewers, but the number of people who currently watch Conan would in no way justify the ad rates they'd charge for the show. Best if Conan just moved on. Dave's been shown to be the critics' choice, not to mention he has more Emmys than both Jay and Conan.
