This is the least rediculous version of the clothes we were wearing. Then again..face tattoos and maga make the present seem like a cartoon from around this time.
Did anyone else notice Conan's Boston accent coming through at 1:32 - 1:42 (everybody), 3:54 (how), and 6:18 (prepared). He seems to have completely lost it now, but it still comes through in his early days.
@Rayvn7 lol, why are you coming at an 8 year old comment of mine with such an aggro, contemptuous reply? ...Also there's so many different styles and types of jeans in the world now, my rude stranger. Denim. Acid wash. Navy blue. Faded. Skinny. Slim fit. Relaxed fit. Boot cut. Bellbottom. Capri. Etc etc etc.
I've just watched this clip, I've googled John's height, I'm exactly the same height and I hate your comment. And btw why Conan sounds more American in this video than in any other video of him? it's like he's a teenager here
divzerr r seriously what is the point of insulting a total stranger completely unprovoked? you are so tough behind your keyboard. she can't help how she looks (although she is a cute girl!) but you can control whether or not you act like a rude jerk.
@Onyx Fire 6'3" is EXACTLY as close to 6'4" as 6'5", so saying your guess was "close enough" and then saying the other is "ludicrous" is one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever seen any say, you fucking idiot. Now how about you fuck off.
Actually, neither one was what you call popular--Stewart was still making a name for himself, and I honestly didn't think Conan's show was going to make it because I didn't think he was funny, and I thought the show sucked--it was struggling in the ratings. It's a trip how both of them have improved so much over the years---proof that everybody's got to start somewhere. Never even heard of Stewart's MTV show---it must have lasted only a minute--I used to watch MTV all the time and don't ever recall seeing it.
So cool seeing Jon still has same laugh, mannerisms & phrases as 20 years ago. Whoever designed the set so that the host is hunched over with his foot up on a coffee table needs to return to design school.
Fantastic, Conan O'Brien, very intelligent and charismatic. One of the best comedians and presenters in America. Jon Stewart used to be handsome, never knew that.
You can tell how nervous Conan was here, talking REALLY fast. He didn't find himself yet and his show was still on the verge of being cancelled at this time. He lacked the confidence he would have by 1996/1997.
The year I was born,Conan looked like that.22 years later, the same me watching his show,he still looks like that.I think he found the fountain of youth in '94........
Lol that sarcastic unimpressed guy in the audience. Conan: You mind if i have a glass of water? Guy: No. Conan: I was invited to the white house. Guy: Oooooohhhh
The first half of Jon`s career was like : " So here`s this amazing guy. And he`s so smart and charismatic and just gorgeous... what do we do with him? he`s a bad actor (VEry BAD) , he`s not much of a host because he only seems interested in stuff he cares about (like Connan. They are friends for years) and so what do we do with him? Thank GOD for the daily show. He might have ended up like just another guy who had alot and never made it.
I've been a fan of Jon Stewart before anyone knew who the hell the kid even was back then. He had two tv shows around that time, the very early-90's. The lameass one at MTV that ran for like 3 weeks and a pretty decent one that ran on FOX that was pretty good but it was aired at 3 AM so it had no chance of surviving and hardly a single soul ever actually watched it, besides me. Seeing him now popular and well-known with silver hair makes me happy, and also sad knowing how fast time time flies.
most people look really small next to Conan. Guys like Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise, and Jack Black who are only slightly short turn into Devito next to Conan.
Honestly, these two are my 2 favorite TV talk show hosts ever! It's kinda weird to see them so young and so 90's hahaha. But Conan hasn't aged much at all, lol.
I like how relaxed they are. The stage setup is awesome, Grungy jeans, and jackets, putting their feet on the coffee table. Now, it's all about the suits, ties, lights, and flashy things. Blah. I kind of miss the 90's. lol.
The Movie Dealers leather jackets were the thing back then. Watch some 90s tv and always one guy wore a leather jacket. The Heights, California Dreams, among a ton of others.
+Distant System a blatant case of nepotism , we're glad we got him now after he learned how to do it .. bigger and better names were up for that spot at the time
Distant System again it's lorne , fucking lorne micheals , and fallon is probably there until he's over 60 and we'll be treated like letterman or carson or leno as a legend
holy shit conan is giant lol! I knew he was taller than stewart, but I didn't think he was that much taller :P I love the bright blue jeans though....oh the 90's
