I like this man. An actual masculine, no BS, Man. Listening to him talk one can begin to understand why his daughters are actual strong and independent young women and not the useless princesses seen everywhere today.
worst nightmare for The Boss he is absolutely one of the most informative and articulate youtuber interviews I have ever watched sorry boss your a natural!! MORE BOSS!
Was a Joy to see the Boss man (DAD) . I am 70 years old and i love this channel. I love hard work and really appreciate the girl's work ethic. I could not agree more with Dad's approval. I raised 2 daughters myself. Sadly, they chose good looking guys over responsible ones. They both had to raise their children alone. Girls don't sell yourself short and be fooled by Mr. Slick. Your dad is 100% right, and he only wants what is best for you girls.
A Men brother! Thank you for putting out some quality entertainment and instilling some of the values that made this great country. Honor, patients, family values, LOVE! Work ethic and gratitude. We need more fathers to lead the American family, show our daughters what to expect from a man. God bless you
I myself am a father of 3 children and I know how hard it is today to raise children well. But you are a really very well tuned family, where everyone knows where his place is and fills it responsibly and the father is a father worthy of the name. Yesterday I said to my wife that I happened to see a YT video of a Pennsylvania family where the children are cheerful and very well behaved and responsibly help out in their own business. Unfortunately, our children are probably not like theirs due to too much wealth and free time. This is how I imagine a good American family. A YT viewer from Germany
You sir did a fantastic job raising you girls. Teaching the girls that hard work, passion and respect for your trade is so valuable in life. In this new culture of social media that is destroying our new generation, you have managed to keep your family ahead of the curve. My hat is off to you.
Fantastic interview with the Boss man...Dad. Trapped as only a loving Dad could be by one of his daughters. You handled yourself perfectly Boss. The girls are beautiful but it came from a Mom and Dad of exceptional faith, values, and spirit.
This video would never happened unless Ken saw value in what his creative and industrious daughters are doing with this channel. I admire him for stepping up and supporting their endeavor. On a personal note Ken, my cherished daughter was somewhat of a target for good looking men who were players. Of course none of these young men were serious suitors and I am so happy to report that she finally went for a young man that comes from a farming background of several generations and they married ,restored a 120 year old farmhouse and currently are raising two precious little girls. I have full faith that these young ladies will attract the kind of young man that you will be proud to call your son-in-law.
A buddy of mine bought a little home sawmill, after i built my timber frame barn. I ordered lumber from a local mill. I liked his saw, so I watched some videos about old sawmills here in Maine. I saw your videos and said to myself, these women wont do much, I apologize, was I wrong! Im amazed at the work ethic they have and the hard work they do, and dont wear gloves. After watching the Q and A with the boss, I understand this is a hard working family. Hats off to you folks! Your videos are interesting and entertaining and I have learned alot. thanks and God bless!
You all have a great channel and I enjoy watching you all . My favorite is watching and learning how You're Grandfather sharpening the saw blades. A serious art
Girls I knew your Dad was a Great Man or you girls wouldn't be what you are in the videos. I love your Dad, he's good people with a Great Hard Working Family. I love your channel.
As the owner of a commercial woodshop I love hearing him talk about the zero waste factors of the industry. I just realized they are only 2 hours or so from our shop. I may have to schedule some time to make a purchase. I'd rather put some money in the pockets of a family operating responsibly than our normal big name suppliers.
Salt of the earth, true American spirit, intelligence, work ethic, and fantastic role model for his family. The USA could use a lot more like yourself Mr “Boss”.
I don't blame for being protective of your daughters. Having 2 of my own, I know exactly how you feel. You and your wife have raised 2 amazing young ladies who are very hard workers. Well done .
I appreciate watching “The Boss Man” aka Dad. New to the channel and so far it’s refreshing to see authentic hard working people. Watching him appreciate the land, trees, logs, and most importantly his daughters is awesome. As a father of three daughters and a son it is great to see a fellow Dad that is trying to teach all of his kids what he knows.
as a father I so heartedly agree with the boss, not only to be at the table do you have to meet the basics of value he layed out but you need to know your main job that is to love her with your whole being, if your not willingly ready to lay your life down to save her first your head will be lopped off and your new home will be in a lava tube.....😊 Aloha Mick
Ok, I'm not in that age range for marriage and have a lovly wife. But we have strong boys ;-) ... I like the way you work and live together as a Family. You have the bibel in your live, like we do. We live in the mountains of Austria and drive 4 wheels on steep paths every day. I like your boss! Wood business is around us. We buy our lumber at the mill 2 min away. It's a live style - using wood of plastic - no waste.
Can I call you Dad, even tho I'm Older than you are 82 yrs., What I want to say is you have a very Talented Daughter. I just cannot get over how much Wisdom this 17 yrs old lady has.
I started watching this channel just yesterday (just days before Christmas 2022) being a member and involved with our family in a youth group called the Junior Forest Warden's, we visited recently a small farm owned saw mill. The kids got try hands on to mill some logs. For that reason I started watching some videos (like the banana log). I was at first really skeptical about the seriousness of these video's, by seeing a bunch of girls handling these logs and running this mill without proper safety gear. The first video I watched, I showed my son and said there's now way that those girls work that mill daily, not wearing gloves (think about the sap/resins). Seeing this video gave me a lot of respect. Dad (Boss Man).... I have a huge respect for you, how you think and started your business. I'm not a environmentalist (not at all) but this world is wasting a lot of valuable resources and we need a lot more of people like this dad (Boss Man) what turn discard into something valuable. Keep doing what you guys (girls and their dad do!! 👍👍🙏🙏
Q8 is why I'm watching.. Don't work in the lumber industry, but do have forest & also watch how "logging" is done & SMH at the sheer waste. The "junk" that gets rolled in as brash is the hottest, best fuel & the "oddities" like burls, forks and whatnot often command the best prices if processed right. Greatly enjoying the videos, love the ethics - personal & work. He has it sussed on the beer.. and lots more. :-) Smart guy.
This is all part of schooling. That's what's great about homeschooling. So glad to hear your kids are home-schooled. We home-schooled our two girls. They both tried public school once. It was their decision. One lasted a day! She referred to it as "the jail." The other one lasted a little longer. We used all Bob Jones University's curriculum. Excellent! Becky went to Ozark Christian College for a year on a full scholarship. Homeschooling works! I knew right away there was something different about your girls. That was it.
I just started watching this channel this month and really enjoy the different jobs everyone does. As time permits, I am going back and watching some of the earlier videos like this one. Thanks "Boss Man" for answering the questions and giving a history of your operation. Having raised two daughters, the boss is optimistic, that he will have approval of his daughters' choice of spouse. As my wife told me many years ago, it was not our job to approve of their future spouse, but to educate our daughters so that they would pick a spouse that we would approve.
Great Dad, instilling good work ethics with the family. Hats off to you Dad... THREE daughters at work? You are a saint of tolerance, an island of parental testosterone alone in a sea of estrogen!!!!
At this count 779 likes with ZERO dislikes…even the guy who said he didn’t like the questions did not actually give you a thumbs down. This has to be a You tube record!
@@guyincognito. Also, for mental health reasons, i wouldn't put to much emphasis on YT likes or dislikes, most of the time the numbers are manipulated anyway.
You raised some beautiful,Powerful, self sufficient young ladies who will be better for having you as a dad and for learning that working hard is the highest respect points a yone can earn. Much respect from Maine.
I'm afraid his aversion to tech and social media might keep him from realizing what great work these girls are doing with this part of the business. Truly great work.
I like the boss! Easy to see where the girls come from both in intelligence, down-to-earth-niceness, and outgoing personalities. And, for a "camera shy" guy, he came across like a pro.
Great interview, Boss Man, Father, crew chief, Manager, Mechanic, you name it you are it. You are proud of your family as you should be, you have taught great work ethic which is critical in life as well as in business. You have created a business to be passed on for decades. and you are a great steward of the land
You sir are very blessed as you know. But. You are an example of being rewarded for your wisdom, hard work and humility. Thank you for your honest and thoughtful answers.
We lived on Snow Hill in the Poconos. We know exactly what you are talking about with respect to off road delivery. Fortunately we had 4 acres of forest and did all our own firewood. Love your videos.
Hey Boss Dad.... you're a natural, despite your discomfort. The camera really "likes you." There's no doubt that a RU-vid channel is terrific advertising for a business and a potential revenue source in its own right. Good for you for getting into the videos- broadening your levels of experience.
Thank your dad for stepping in front of the camera. I love to watch RU-vid videos with real families. I love how informative all your videos are. Your poor dad is going to get hauled into the future with his daughters dragging him with an iPhone and a camera.
Boss man just the look on your face when you look at your girls tells how much you care and how proud you are of them. One thing I tell the young men who are interested in my girls is “I’m not afraid of going to prison for my family”. That usually weeds out the ones I don’t want.
My dad was a cutter up in Potter County for 30+ years and my uncle worked in the Trout Run area for several years. Steep down that way!! Thanks for the great videos!
I am a late comer to your page, as a woodworker it came up as that is my main interest. I had a logger mill owner as a father. I also had two daughters, now grown. I like your attitude concerning the use of the whole tree. I understand about the limbs and the stuff left in the woods. I always felt that the best firewood was the limbs. I live in a pine forest area and juniper. I have used both as firewood. The limb wood is always the best, it should be sold as a premium. I like really narly wood, wood with decay, rot, and knots. I collect my own or use wood my father collected (a lot of exotic, rare back yard trees).
This man, I mean THE BOSS , knows about hard work, discipline and true masculine power. No wonder he raised responsible and cheerful daughters. Ps: even he doesn't like to be on camera, he did an excellent job!
I like his idea of dowry you got to bring work ethic to the table. Since his girls have such a great work ethic, I don't think he has anything to worry about. Its very refreshing to watch this channel.
I am so happy I got to hear this video again! I am practicing the the dowry conversation just as The Boss said it. I have 3 daughters and it’s as simple or complicated as he said it! Truly. Thanks for sharing. I have a mill and firewood business and These videos offer a lot of really inspirational/valuable information and techniques. Best regards!
Great video Em...... I now understand where your intelligence and story telling ability comes from. To say The Boss Man is deep would be an understatement. He has been modeling values for you your siblings your entire life and it shows in the quality of your videos and in the work ethic you demonstrate week in and week out. Continue listening and learning from him kid, it will serve you well for years to come.
I took a job at a wood products mill when I graduated from engineering school at age 28. It was on a 350,000 acre tree farm at Snoqualmie Falls WA. They were on a sustained yield program for cutting,( fir, hemlock and cedar) which means cutting at the rate of growth. They had a sawmill with 42 foot carriage with 9 foot band and another 24 foot double cut carriage. (the double cut, both directions.) They had a wood burning powerhouse with oil backup. Steam heated dry kilns, planning mill, shipping and storage, plywood plant, silva cell plant (landscaping), presto log plant, wood cutting yard for employees and 20 rental houses for management. They chipped the hemlock and fir for truck loading facility to the paper mills. This facility had been running since 1920 using all of the tree. They even sold permits for public wood cutting, xmas trees and cedar shake bolts. And, left the gates open daily for hunting and fishing on the tree farm. The timber was clear cut then replanted in mineral soil, with fir and hemlock. The planted areas were sprayed to keep the deciduous trees from shading the planted trees and the tree farm was patrolled for fire 24/7. I visited two years ago. There are a couple of buildings and they are using the mill yard for some kind of small car racing. The North end of the yard at one time was a Chinese worker town. I heard the tree farm was sold to a German Co. Should be ready for cutting a 3rd growth. Iguana
Great job explaining everything. You can tell that your dad / boss man can tell he is very proud of all of the family working on the log yard and logging. Keep up the great videos and
That was an excellent interview, Bossman! You handled that extremely well, and seemed far more comfortable with it than you probably were. You all are the perfect examples of how people should be, and it's nice to see how you and your wife are passing all those great traits on to your kids. Great video, Em! Thanks for doing that for us.
Another great vid. I'm a 65-year-old Canadian that started logging with my grandfather at 12 yrs. old no skidders. My Grandfather skidded or in his words twitched logs with a team of Clides "Vaden and Morgan" I turned 18 and he bought his first tractor and as fate would have it the team pulled that tractor out of more than one soggy situation. You and the girls have a great work ethic I am sure that will never change. Both Countries Canada and the U.S need that.
Money isn't important to this man for a dowry. No intrinct value of a suitor will be considered either. This man has higher standards. Good for him!!! There are things much more important than money and self-inflated ego. Having said that, these girls will flush out those false suitors anyway. Good job dad. Good job girls.
Too long? Not a chance!!! Once again thank you for a great video. I had an idea the "boss " would be a very grounded, secure, intelligent and most of all loving man. I think I hit that nail right on the head. I'm sure there are a lot of very nice well intending young men out there that will meet you hotness requirements. However trying to find one that has as much love and devotion to you as "the boss" has will not be easy to obtained. It will never be exceeded!!!! Something to remember when "the bosses" thoughts don't match yours! I'm really getting to like this 2 vids a week deal 24 mins. is no way too long, honest.
Understand the uncomfortable about RU-vid dad ...I have seen a Russian dad whose daughter is on RU-vid and admit I have thought it must be very uncomfortable for him... The upcoming generation has been weaned on modern technology so are much more accustomed to using it.. I will finish this later as I have my own survival work to do but I do enjoy these ....you are a great bunch and congrats to you all... RESPECT ...from my Homestead in the woods of Maine
Good video. Emerald, your dad is doing a great job as a father and business. It's refreshing to see young women working in the family business, even if it's a little rugged. Living in Philly, I can appreciate the environment in which you live in, and the values your parents are passing onto you. Emerald, you're the perfect face for the business. Great PR work and promoting.
What a boss! Right on man! It's people like you that build America and I thank you for it! People need to believe in something and work for it. They won't understand this without examples like yourself. Sharing your perspective on RU-vid might not seem like a big deal but it is. Someone somewhere wants to be like you because they've heard you talk about things. Peace.
I thought you girls were cool, but your dad is even cooler 🙂 Kudos to the boss for his work ethics and his no-waste approach. How about a Q&A with Mrs. boss, or did I miss that?
Get a debarker and sell the bark. An edger to edge slabs and process into pallet material. Chip everything that's too small and sell to paper mills. And sawdust to farmers/horse owners.
