The sermon on the mount, Matthew 7:7-14, Jeremiah 31:3, Psalms 57:2, Psalms 91 ,. I have learned that there is nothing a dad loves, and there is nothing a mom loves more than their children. Psalms 91, Romans 8:37-39. Deuteronomy 28, Mark 10:17-27, Matthew 5:17, Luke 6:46.
Your Dad, "the boss", seems to be a man of few words but with a determination to protect his family by any means necessary. You two may not realize it yet but that determination lives in both of you too. Your work ethic is just the tip of that iceberg.
boss man used his climbing skills to get on that fallen tree. a father having to save his entire family can be a unstoppable force. thanks EM n JADE for sharing these personal incidents and windows into your lives.
You Know, your story tells the love a father has for his family! Don't ever forget that, even when you get mad at him. Thanks for sharing. Happy Milling
Very powerful stuff, Americans need to get back together and stop fighting and start remembering who we are , forget politics and hate , we are survivors ! Never quit !
@@AlmostItalianBrothers the right is ready and has been ready to reunite as a cou try with the left. The left is obviously not willing to do that and neither is the liberal media their responsible for dividing America with their hatred of the right.
Agree about getting together, and we are fighters, but we should never turn our backs on politics. The only thing we can do is vote or revolt. That being said, it is super important to know what's going on in politics and vote accordingly. I say do your own research, think for yourself, and forget the media. They are the ones dividing us.
I remember that year and the years after. Bridges were out and working in the affected areas was a nightmare. The company I work for worked on the cleanup. It was the first time I had seen flood damage on tops of mountains. The story you tell about what you Dad did was heroic! The determination of saving one’s family is a force of nature.
your dad did what a father should have done! Family is all there is at times like that! your parents did what they should have done and they loved you so very much they would have gave their lives that night! God Bless them and you!
The "Boss Man" is a Father and a Man. He would give his life to save his family and never even think about it. At times like this you just have to trust him. Respect. (and you all made it possible)
Your Father is a great Man and Leader and all of You are Gifted for what You went thru. That was quite a story and would be a great movie. My heart goes out to all of You
Hi Emerald and Jade, a horrific story, and you were both clearly emotional while telling it......Tears don't easily come to my eyes as i get older, but they did on this occasion.........I'm so happy that you all got through this disaster safely......Your dad is truly a hero........Stay well. 😘
I took me 3 times to watch this video it brought back scary memories to me, I survived being trapped underwater in my car in 1982. I tried twice to get out, water was filling the inside of the car up, I put my head down and said Lord help, my next conscious thought was that I was walking through water. I went to my friends house and he and his dad went to the scene and found my car 150 down the road with all windows up and all doors locked. Devine intervention? I'm glad you all made it out ok. Brian
For his family, a father will continue on until he has gotten all to safety. God Bless Bossman and his wonderful family. The Lord stepped in and kept pushing him to go on.
I lived through a flood back in 1973 when I was 16 years old. At that time my family lived 4 miles from the Mississippi River. We ended up with 18 inches of muddy water in our house which doesn't sound like all that much compared with your experience but still did a lot of damage and required a total remodel of our house. While you were telling your story it brought up a bunch of old memories of the things I experienced during my disaster. As you said, water is extremely powerful and dangerous, and a flood not only does unbelievable damage but can take lives, livelihoods, and shatters your emotional well-being. Being faced with your mortality can certainly change your life. I too, remember the "smell." We began cleanup at our house by mopping the floor with bleach and then just hosing out all of the mud (I bet we did that 20 or more times). I don't think the smell ever fully went away and we took every wall to the studs in the remodel. Life is precious, and your story proves how much your dad values each member of your family. Don't ever doubt his love, you saw it on full display that night. Tragedy has a way of drawing families and communities together. I could tell you story after story of things that took place during that time in my life as I'm sure you can regarding this event in your lives. This has obviously made you stronger women and strengthened the bond of love in your family. I pray that God will continue to bless your lives as you will obviously continue to grow to become exceptional young women.
Floods are very scary events. The force of raging waters is unmeasurable, in a blink you could disappear. Very well narrated, thanks for the opportunity to see this disaster through your eyes.
My goodness ladies this certainly is a powerful life changing event. Your dad is an honest hero who put his family first. I’m a little old man and I teared up. You two will be brave for your own families someday.
You ladies are the dream an old man desires for his grandchildren; hard workers and engineers in your trade. As an old woodworker and cabinetmaker, I enjoy your videos of the sawmill and your hard work cutting lumber. You make your parents proud. Thank you and happy new year and prosperous 2022.
Just came across your video. Can’t imagine what your family went through. I’ve subscribed. Now being 71 years old I took a nap soon after. I left You tube playing. I woke up to a beautiful piano playing. And looked at the screen to see who it was. There was a bible verse across the screen which accompanied the piano. It read “ When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not over take you….. Isaiah 43 : 2. Now that was awesome . That verse stayed there for awhile as the piano continued. Had to share that with you.
As the saying goes, “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger “. Thank you for sharing this with all of us out here in the ether. May God bless you and your family.
I can tell you from my own life, when crisis come and there is no way out, God always makes a way and He is always with me when these things happen. May God bless your family and keep you safe.
Wow! That must have been very traumatic for you all. Well done for sticking to the task and coming through it. Your dad sounds like he fought like a lion to save you all.
As a father I know how rare it is to have a first hand story of tragedy like this told from his children's point of view. Your story from your point of view is rare and priceless, a treasure to preserve for future generations.
Wow! Great job of telling a gut wrenching story of survival. Your parents are extraordinary! Your dad put his life on the line to save his family. It's obvious you two have the same core values.
On July 31, 1987 I was 9 years old and the city of Edmonton experienced an F4 tornado. The day would be immortalized in Edmonton history as "Black Friday". The day started off exceptionally warm, but the storm clouds grew in the afternoon. The skies were ominous and dark. My dad sprung into action, and packed us into the car.....and we headed to the nearest liquor store. A truly heroic and selfless act. In all seriousness, we weren't in danger in our home, despite the massive softball sized hail pelting our neighbourhood. I'm lucky enough to have the most amazing wonderful and amazing father, who I try to be like in everything I do. I am so happy for families that have fathers that love and support their families. I count my blessings often, and I'm glad you do the same. Thank you for sharing your story.
Emerald looks the same , but Jade looks so young in this video. I bet Dad was livid, his wife and kids in danger. You young ladies are full of surprises, I am so happy the family made it out together and safe.
Until you have lost everything except what’s on your back !! It’s hard to explain it to someone else I know from experience and hear that in your voice as you tell the story!!! You are truly blessed and you know it !!
I know I'm late to this video, but that was very touching. I could tell how much it affected your young lives and how absolutely determined your parents were in saving you. Oddly, I grew up just north of where you are and lived through a flood when the Tioga (PA) and Chemung (NY) rivers flooded. Lived in a church evacuation center for 8-days and my mother the RN would take the people the National Guard flights would bring in and check them out. I spent an entire summer helping clean up the area. That smell you described is still etched in my psyche and always will be...
I find it very appropriate, that your dad found a way across , using a tree to guide y'all to the other side ... I'm sure glad y'all made it safely as a family and God Bless you all , each and everyone of you 💗💗💗💗💗
I am north of you in New York State. I lost my home in that 2011 flood. Water reached 4 feet shy of the roof. So I understand clearly the challenge you went through. Fortunately I got to high ground in time. My house was 85 years old and had never been touched by flood prior to my buying it in 2004.
I understand your Dad's unstoppable determination. A man's family is his soul and no father would not give his last breath for that family he holds dear. This I know because I had to literally carry my 3 year old daughter out of the midst of a devastating cat 3 tornado and my only direction was dependence on God.. though much was lost, my daughter as well as myself were safe with just minor injuries. It truly doesn't matter to me what others think, Jesus has given us an inestimable gift by having access to God Himself through himself. I believe that is what kept and protected me and my young daughter, and as I reckon that is what gave your Dad the strength and direction to get you guys out.... As we may be father's to our children, then so is God to us... Matthew 7... Vaelin
So sorry you experienced that. I'll bet it bonded you even tighter as a family. You mentioned praying to God. I hope you thank him that your lives were spared. Love your family.
Thank you for the frank and heartfelt story of some of your family’s history. This is what makes us stronger and the family bond stable. I have, in the past, marvelled at the apparent strength of the family unit that is visible in your videos, but now I see, partly at least, where this originates. You are all survivors and much stronger people than some of the “princesses” I see sometimes. Heroes one and all!😁👍🏆
I'm in southern N.H,and witnessed a freak flood,20 miles from home,on way home from VT,a large group of us ended up trapped on a small piece of high ground, refrigerators and couches blasting over the main road, bulldozers trying to make dams,I was 16 then,so this story I very much understand,I'll say again,I'm blessed by the algorithm for finding your channel
Disaster preparedness is a REAL thing that we have forgotten. Everyone should have a plan for the top 3 MOST LIKELY natural disasters . ALWAYS keep multiple flashlights and extra batteries in every vehicle. I have a headlamp that will provide light for 4 hours on high. 6 hours on low. Every vehicle should have a backpack with one or two MREs, multiple ways to start fires, spare wool socks, and a lifestraw or sawyer water filter. Also a handfull of mylar blankets. Less than $2 each at walmart. Glad y'all made it out.
The bravery, fortitude & greatness of your family is admirable & impressive. Thank you for sharing this epic story of your very difficult experience that made you stronger & more determined to be very successful.
After following your channel for a couple of years now I have cpome to really admire your faamily. Emerald is quite the professional as are Jade, Samantha, and Judah, Love your work ethic and devotion to the family. Dad and Mom I know are very proud ofd you all. May God's Blessings and Protection be wiht you always.
i sure loved hearing about your dad. he sounds like the kind of man the rest of us can respect and admire. he is a blessing to your family. i can hear how much you appreciate him, and i bet all of you make sure he is aware of that. good for you, (all) and God bless. God, family, country.
This was a video we missed. Praise The Lord that you all made it through! My wife Julie and I love watching your videos...we love to watch wholesome videos that feature family businesses and homestead operations. We love your work ethic and how the family works together. God Bless!
Thanks for sharing your stories. I was wondering about the rain there in "meet the team" video. Keep up the great work y'all. The first time I saw the phosphorous moss was in Tennessee it was in a thick, high canopy forest. It gets really dark even when it's not raining. If you fortunate on one of your vacations at the beach you can experience tiny phosphorous baby jelly fish, the size of peas. Swimming at night with those glowing jellies is like living out some fantastic story book. Thanks again for bringing sunshine. Cheers!
Great story, sets the stage for what you have accomplished since and in the future. You should write it down with quotes from each of you for family history. Date it and let your grandchildren read it someday.
The power of water is amazing. I lived near a creek for a while I learned quick to watch the weather constantly and if they called for heavy rain to watch the creek. I had 2 points I watched. Water reached the first point I started putting stuff in the house up high. It reached the 2nd point I took the family out. Got flooded 2 or 3 times. Said I would never live near a creek again so I bought property on a hill and moved. Can't imagine this from a kids prospective. Thanks for sharing your powerful story.
WOW...just WOW....God is awesome, with the things he shows us throughout Life's journey, amazing. Things happen for a reason.... sometimes we don't understand it. It seems to have installed an appreciation in your hearts, never forget, learn and move on. You have a great family.
Happy New Year! It sounds like the boat was to small. Your dad is a smart man. Going a tough route to be safe isn't fun but it kept the family safe. Give him a few extra hugs. He earned them. May God continue to bless your family.
Great story.Made me cry.Your mom and dad are the true hero,s.What a parent will go through for our children has no limits. It makes one appreciate them even more.
I knew your Dad was special the first time i heard him talk. I do not know how i missed this one the first time around but what a nightmare for you kids to go through ,i am so proud of your parents for keeping you safe so that you can give us these awesome videos we watch today
A very scary and inspiring story. I can't imagine how scared I would have been at age 7 and with a baby brother. Your dad was really blessed, but had a lot to live for.
