saw their last show. black cat DC. saw superststem's last show ever there too. both PHENOMINAL bands. i LOVE q. saw them maybe 6 or 7 times in all from 2002-2005. so sad they broke up
I know it looks like a toy, but that's a fairly serious instrument called a Melodica. The famous ones are made by the Hohner brand, but you can get cheapo china ones on ebay for like $30-40.
He's pop music critic @ Washington Post, writes a good zine called Debussy Ringtone, and has a current band called TK ECHO (you can find them on bandcamp)
