Q16 BERNINA Longarm First Look 

Awesome. I love love the Q 16 I’ve quilted a few things on it already including the quilt-along I’m working on filming now. Glad the videos are helping and I hope to have more up on the Q series. If you have any questions let me know.

@@sewingwithcodyandpete8651 thanks! I have quilted one quilt already. Had a few issues with getting the bobbin in correctly, need to be sure it clicks. Still don’t have the securing stitch function mastered, does that work differently in BSR 1 and BSR 2? I get the bobbin thread pulled up fine, but when I press the back of the foot pedal for the knot, it just seems to keep stitching and not stop after the 4 stitches for the knot. My dealer is available by appointment (COVID restrictions) so I can’t just pop in.

@@amysheridan4496 sounds like you're having a good tome so far. When using the securing stitch it should be the same for all BSR functions. So when you hold down the heel for a couple of seconds and let go it should just take a hand full of stitches and then stop, apposed when you just tap it and it just takes one full stitch to bring up your bobbin thread. :/

I do believe it’s five empty bobbins and one with thread on it in the machine. 😁. Glad you enjoyed the video.

It is 5 empty bobbins and 1 in the machine. I just got one and that was what came with it.

not the Q16 but the Q16 Plus can use the Q-matic robotics. :)

The Rulers we sell in the shop are by Angela Walters and Amanda Murphy. You can contact the shop 985-898-1112 and they can ship you which ever rulers you want. :)

@Toto Mango - You can always give them away to native Americans if you don't live near any low income families.

I think it's pretty sad that the joy you yourself get in making a quilt is quantified by the money you spent. I love making quilts and yes it costs money but it's worth it to me.
