Another thing I’ve noticed and I love it too is the new q50/q60 steering wheel and how it looks more sporty than the old one. I’ve noticed that on the non paddle shifter version it has an 8 prong plug so I think it may be possible to put that wheel on the only issue is I don’t know if the wiring will be plug and play. It has to be the non paddle shifter version because the paddles on the new wheel don’t have a plug in for the older q50
It seems like your customer exhaust tames the volume sound of the test pipes which I like. Would love test pipes but for daily just seems too loud. Wouldn’t have minded it when I was a lot younger tho
I put together the exhaust for that very reason. I wanted a nice deep tone that was aggressive when I wanted it to be but tame in the neighborhood and cruising.
@@SpeedCultureStudios makes sense. Wish I could hear different variations of mid pipes and resonators. I’d love to hear an h pipe with not to many mods to see how it sounds but so hard to find
I’ve looked around at testpipes and honestly the only one that is cheap that I can find easy is beluga racing I will be buying some probably this summer
I bought some not to long ago and it knocked out a considerable amount of rasp at the lower rpm’s but like he said a quality catback/y-back. I’d go with ISR’s new line or anything with mufflers and resonators.
Hey I just started following your channel love the content.... I just recently purchased a 2012 G37X sedan in your opinion what would be the best sounding exhaust setup???
What would you say about the motordyne art pipes that have the j style resonator/chamber that comes off of the side of the test pipe? Do you think that design would help more with drone and/or rasp instead the typical small bottle style resonator that most comapanies just put on the test pipe it self such as the berk resonated test pipes.
It does help more, but they aren’t worth the money because you still have to get a decent catback, which would get you the same end result. So you could save hundreds and get regular resonated test pipes and put your savings toward a good catback and you won’t have rasp anyway
@@SpeedCultureStudios Nice nice, good to know. Been watching your videos for a while man I have a 2009 G37s coupe and your videos are really informative, Keep it up! 👍
has anyone installed megan y pipe that goes from 2.5 inlet to 3 inch outlet.. but if u keep stock resonators then it goes back down to 2.5.. should i go 3 inch after y pipe? 3.7 here
I did this exact thing years ago with review as well. Check out some old videos! It was the 1320 performance y pipe which is basically the same as the Megan
Hey I Been watching a couple of your videos for the q50. I have the q70 and recently did a muffler delete and I love the sound but I don’t feel the kick in low end that the car gives me before. So do you recommend to install a new system exhaust like the Rev9 $380 ? I like the sound of the rev9 exhaust too but not sure if that system will give me the torque back. Thank you for all the info on your videos!
Hey Speed! Last July I decided to install your exhaust set up and it’s very nice growl and amazing in tunnels. I want a little more out of it. Should I remove the mufflers ? Or do you recommend I go unresonated
Is it possible to run drop in filters together with 3inch long tube intakes. Just wanted to know, trying to decide on going with 3inch long tube intakes or just doing drop in filters.
Hey quick question. Do you have fuel injectors for your 3.7? If so which ones?? Im looking to tune my car soon, but i plan on making my car more of a show car than a fast/race car. What do you think is best for me? Also love your videos man!
@@SpeedCultureStudiosdont get me wrong i still wanna make it pretty fast😂😂 but thats just not my main focus rn, but once im done with aero/ fitment. I definitely want to tune it and everything that comes with it! Also i live in cali so them e85 prices would help🤣🤣
It’s not a % unfortunately because I sprayed them. It’s 3 coats of VHT wet sanded with 1500 grit then 6 coats of clear wet sanded with 2000 grit then polished and sealed.
Quick question, I keep getting exhaust leaks from my test pipes at the three flange gaskets that connect to the headers. I’ve tried the z1 metal ones but they only lasted about month. Any suggestions on how to stop the leaks?
What do you mean they only lasted a month? They are metal and should not fail. I think concept z has some thick gaskets. You could try them. The important thing is to tighten the bolts evenly. You do a little on each until right. If the flange is not perfectly flush, you’ll get leaks every time.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Thanks for replying I’ll try paying attention to the tightness of each bolt and I ordered the extra thick CZP gaskets to see if they work out.
so what’s the final SCS (i had it installed today, FlowFx & Borla) but i saw one of your older vids say you added mufflers after test pipes to reduce volume ?
I want to get test pipes soon. I’m in my 20s so loud is okay, i just don’t want obnoxious. Ive had to roll my windows up before cause a straight piped honda was taking off at a light.(Not tryna be like that😂)
@@SpeedCultureStudios I’ve probably watched everyone of your videos on the 3.7, coilovers, lights , mountain runs, shi even the ones with your daughter. I was just a little confused after watching a vid from 3 years ago, then a year ago, then a flex pipe video and more. it’s a lot of information so was looking for a straight forward answer.
@@SirCapps You must have misheard or misunderstood. Nothing was added. I’ve told people to consider the magnaflow rather than the borla because of borlas quality issues lately but nothing to be added additionally
Saw the market coming down-I did a few videos on it-wanted to get top dollar so I sold it. I also had it for almost 4 years. That’s the longest I’ve ever had a vehicle. It was time for something else
