I am a migrant in Australia. I arrived here in 2005 and started life anew with my wife and 3 kids. It has been home to us for the last 16 years, and We love this country very much. We are proud to be Australians. This is our home now. i was a young 38 year old then, and I am now 54 years old. A Tru blu Australian by heart .
im an australian of british convict decent and get absolute chills when i hear this song, MOSTLY when i hear the indigenous singing at the beginning, im only young and feel extremely grateful to be living here in the luckiest and most beautiful country in the world, i regret everyday what my ancestors did to the indigenous people of australia and we owe it to them to give them the credit to sing in this song...
Yawn. Nice to see your fallen for the guilt trip. In all likelihood your ancestors did nothing. Can I get a GoFundMe campaign for some birch twigs so you can beat yourself?
Stfu!! All countries are beautiful.. And even the indigenous people came from other parts of the world. They are related to the Indians and the Asians. You do not apologise for what the British did in the past. The aboriginal person in the video looks a lot like an Indian or Sri Lankan.
You probably dont care but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last few weeks xD
I am an American who has friends in Carlingford, outside of Sydney ... therefore my heart is in Australia. When I was flying back almost a year ago via Quantas, this song played in the cabin and I was in sobbing tears ... hadn't been to your beautiful shore in 14 long years .... love all you awsome Aussies !
i get goosebumps every time i hear this song and this is something all aussies understand, wherever we live, Australia is always our home. im always proud to call myself an Australian. :)
If you know the Australian history then you know how it’s filled with racial discrimination that destroyed the longest continual culture in the world. But yeah great song
@@scottparker1741 So what? It's not anyone else was any better. The Aztecs would sacrifice thousands of people from other tribes every year, the Romans decimated the Carthaginians, the Mongols pillaged pretty much everyone they could find, the Spanish literally destroyed some of the tribes and cultures in the Americas, this list could go on. And if you had bothered to look at some of the cave painting that our natives made, you'd realise that even they used to massacre each other to steal each other's lands.
This is my favourite one. I grew up with various versions of this song and commercials, and this is the top one for me. Makes me teary-eyed every time. Thank you for uploading this version.
we recently flew qantas to australia and emirates (code shared) back to singers. emirates had the newer planes but qantas had the best service, hands down. it was my maiden trip to oz and i felt welcome the moment i stepped on the plane!
I am from the UK, however whenever I have stepped off the plane after landing in Australia, the warmth and the hospitality of the Australian people the probably the best welcome anyone could ever wish for when visiting any country. I am very excited to return to Australia for my vacation/holiday this year! Australia just the best country ever!
That A380 ✈ at the end is the best!!! So proud to be a Macedonian 🇲🇰 born in Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 both countries for me have been very spiritually giving, can't wait to go back down to Straya for a break, i miss Sydney's Circular Quay, Brighton Le-Sands where you can see the whole runway 34L of Sydney Airport, and Wollongong, Wollongong without doubt one of my top 3 places i've ever been to.
@@joelc9439 Macedonia existed since a heck of a long time ago - 400BCs. It was named, renamed, renamed again, and here we are still here in a small territory in the Balkans. We used to be as big from here, North part of Greece, through Turkey, up to India. That was all Macedonia until Alex the Great was killed. Later we were as now but our parts in West Bulgaria, North Greece, South Serbia and East Albania (City of Pogradec) were taken by the Soldiers that managed to rescue us from Ottoman power that powered our lands (the whole Balkan) for over 500 years. Thats a bit of History 😂, the first A380 was finished in 2005 and the first flight was then aswell on 27 April. I was born 4 years earlier on the 13th
I'm from Ireland and in the space of the past year, my cousin and brother have both gone down under. Hope they're getting on good in Australia, and of course, they still call Ireland home!
best Qantas ad ever. The kid at the beginning is the best representation of how Australia should be than the previous ones! Much respect young man!!! (-:
How? Convert all 180 countries living here and change our names and language? You do know there’s not one indigenous language. There’s over 100. Do we hold an election to decide which one to chose?
A national anthem is a song that identifies a country and that country only. This song will never make it as an anthem because it explicitly has other countries in this song
The natives came from other parts of the world too. They are related to the Indians and the Asians. The aboriginal person in the video looks a lot like an Indian or Sri Lankan.
My sister knew the young boy(who sings in his own language, lingo) mum, his mum was my sister boss on thursday Island where he comes from. my sister is white of course she use to live on horn island and work on thirsday island every day
sweetheart. i was born in australia and have lived there my hole life. i have lived in nearly every capital city and have moved all around the country. i think i would know i little better at what people are really like
I think the ad wants to show the story of Australia. At the introduction part. There's only one Aborigine. And after that (I'm always trav'lin', And I love being free) all kids run and jump from Europe, Asia or other continent. It means Australia is an multicultural Country. At the found and help each others. At the end finally they met, all singing together(nowadays of Australia). But... They can't use the history of aboriginal massacre. 'To the next step.'
Stfu! The Aboriginals came from other parts of the world. They are related to the Indians and the Asians. The aboriginal person in the video looks a lot like an Indian or Sri Lankan.
@katiewpemberton Wow! I used to live in Telopea, NSW where it is only one train stop away from Carlingford! :) Miss my good times in Aussieville! Miss my good Aussie mates with cute Aussie accent! :P
This song is very sad because of the 747 queen of the skies retired from Qantas 747 got broken up for parts who are those have been sitting on the ground at the Ansett Museum and in the Hars and the Qantas founders Museum in Longreach the planes are a 747 707 A super constellation during the Qantas 747‘s farewell flight
