Take a trip down memory lane - all the way back to the roaring 20s - in our nostalgic, new inflight safety video as we celebrate 100 years of flying. #Qantas100
Ah the golden age of flying, when leg room and putting your seat back wasn't a problem. Kudos to whomever wrote Georgia's comical line "There's no smoking until you're back on the ground. Including E-Cigarettes. Whatever they are". Brilliant.
I’m French. Every time I go to Australia, my heart calms down by 10 beats a minute. And in Perth? Even slower. In the outback, the smell and the flies, the sun and the stars... It’s like going to heaven. Lagoons, peaceful people, #IllRideWithYou inclusivity, skilled workers, top HDI of the world, gosh I wish I were a citizen. Great nation.
I've been in a 787 dreamliner recently, From Sydney to Manila and from Los Angeles to New York, it's sick I like the colours on the plane roof and the tinted windows.
"You're flying on a QANTAS Boeing 787 Dreamliner" No, I'm not. I'm in my bedroom at 1:47 AM watching an airline safety video for an airline I've never traveled on.
Yeah we all really have nothing to complain about over here in Australia, we are privileged in so many ways. Thank you for your comment, we would be happy to share our great country with you definitely come visit some day. :)
AvGeek NZ pretty bloody good isn’t it. I’m a kiwi but I always liked the 2000s “I still call Australia home” campaign so it was cool how that merged in too near the end. Also, the 70s flight attendant; Georgia is a Fox haha.
I am a migrant from Ceylon, Sri Lanka who lived in the UK before migrating to this wonderful land Australia. I have denounced all other citizenships and carry a proud Australian passport. And I'm proud to say I fly Qantas. when I board that plane with the Kangaroo on its tail I know "It feels like home..it is home and yes I do call Australia home." Thank you Aussies for accepting us with open arms I am truly grateful.
My goodness, I'm a 31 year old American and a pilot in training. I've very seldom felt this way but watching this video was an almost spiritual and emotional experience for me. I have always loved Qantas and Australia even though I've never been there and never yet flown on one of their flights.
Thank goodness! I thought they had forgot the I still call Australia home, it’s nice that they restored that version. The 2000s-2010s part was so pleasant and nostalgic, even only being 10 years ago. Qantas MUST use that song in every safety video.
I agree! I really like that song Qantas used. I kind of wish an A380 Flew over the chior or something in the 2000-2010 parts but it was still really nice
I flew on Qantas with my family back home from Perth to London in April 2019. They played the safety video in the link below. It had “I Still Call Australia Home” right at the end of it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PCsCYy5qq4w.html
@@DarkFalconAnimations you flew a long flight aswell, same as me I took a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles which is 14 hours and another 4 hour flight from Los Angeles to New York so a total of 18 hours, I flew for nearly 24 hours, plus like 1 or 2 hours in La waiting for my flight.
This is one of the longest safety videos I've seen, but it sure as heck is an entertaining one. Thank you Qantas, for making this, and bringing Aussies home for 100 years.
Qantas are just my fav airline of all time, even tho they might not be the cheapest, or the most luxury, they do everything just right, it feels like home.
So funny story my friend asked me if I only flew qantas cuz my father is staff and I said no and he was so confused cuz he knew qantas ain’t the most luxurious airline but all they staff are so nice and it’s so spirited
QANTAS, DELTA, LUFTHANSA, EMIRATES. . . with four airlines you can easily circle the planet, six continents, in comfort, safety and peace of mind. Personally these airlines are my favorite, zero disappointments thus far.
Qantas since years ago has connection with the Aboriginal community. They have the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Programme. They also have preserved lots of Aboriginal artwork, i.e. their plane liveries, which usually ends with _Dreaming._
This was brilliantly made, all those months of planning and hard work of everyone involved were so worth it. I love the smooth transitions between decades and the level of detail is exceptional.
I did as well , 1976 and the best thing of all the pilot let me sit in his seat and fly with a little help from the co-pilot . I was 7 years old .I will never forget it .
At 7:32 I lit up, because I realize he was the same boy at who wanted to become a pilot at 6:13, and that’s just really made me so happy that he achieved his dream. Qantas executed the safety video exceptionally well incorporating all the aspects of the eras that they flew through.
It brought all the great memories when I boarded my first Qantas plane, to Sydney> Melbourne> Hobart, 20 years ago when I came to study, and now I am living in this country to make it my home.
Congrats for reaching 100 years! This gave me goosebumps! Love you Qantas!! Thank you for providing Australia!! Also, the song “We still call Australia home”, well I do, and I’m proud! I also love the Sprit of Australia! That’s what everyone in Australia are!!!!
Great promotion Qantas. I loved flying in the 707 in the 60s and 70s when flying was still an adventure and not a trial. And I’m proud to own a few, just a few, shares in this the best airline.
I am so utterly proud of Qantas and all it's staff for making this video, this truly makes me proud to be an Australian and I could never think of anything which embodies the spirit and pride of our nation more.
Ugh, yess QANTAS YESSSS!!! I can't believe over a whole year has passed before I'm seeing this. Absolutely flawless execution! Beautiful how they covered their entire history and seamlessly weaved each safety instruction into the fabric of every moment in time. And that ending! What beautiful music to complement a gorgeous scene of their crew from every era. Every employee at QANTAS and the entire Australian population for that matter should be proud of this masterpiece. An endless standing ovation from me. Happy 100th QANTAS!
This made me so proud to be Australian and just making QANTAS my favourite airlines even more. I cried so hard. It's just... just... really no word for how beautiful this is. Congrats Qantas
Qantas have captured the essence of the passenger's journey throughout the decades. Simply put, an inspiration to all Australian travellers, thank you.
What I love most about this safety vid is how everything evolved as decades passed (for example, the music, the filming styles, aircrafts, uniforms, colours and sooo much more)... 😍😍😍
I was in the flight with Victor QF38 (@5:05 , 3/3/2020) where we had to turned back to Singapore, he was the one that made the pager call to the captain about the mechanical malfunction while we were in the air. Thank you Victor! Sure is Qantas took care of our safety and our wellbeing even waiting for the next flight out to Melbourne!
No matter how many times I watch this video I can’t get enough of watching it. I love watching it over and over. It’s exciting every time. The 1980s is my favorite part of the video. I hope to fly Qantas one day and visit Australia some day.
I flew non-stop with my family back home from Perth to London on Qantas in April 2019. Despite the flight being 17 hours long, it was the best flight I’ve ever been on in my life. I love Qantas! 🇦🇺
Well done, Qantas! I love how you can kind of notice that the “I still Call Australia Home” is played 5-6 times throughout the video, each in different styles of music! I love that concept!
Qantas you are just amazing, wonderful, fabulous, excellent flight ✈ carrier and all of your truly remarkable service and experience and hospitality towards us in the past 28 years since I was born in 1993. Your food, your service, your flight record, your pilots, your cabin crews, your aircraft, your baggage 🧳 handles and others are top notch 👌 excellent. Thank you for supporting us for over 100 years. My absolutely upmost sincere towards thousands and thousands or millions of staff workers in the past, present and future. Ultimate unconditional greatness love and kind regards, Steve Chong.
This captured my attention inflight and made me rewatch again on RU-vid afterwards. Well done on this brilliantly made safety video that emotionally captured the spirit of the airline!
They featured the 747! Which is my favorite aircraft. I flew two of their 747s in 2019. Qantas was amazing. They even gave me a private tour of the aircraft, seated me in the upper deck for landing and let me tour the cockpit after. I enjoyed it so much that I filmed the entire experience 😁
this is the best safety demonstration video I have seen from Qantas. Loved the added historical information and all the Aussie invations not a surprise there
I'm sure every Australian has had that moment when they've been overseas for a long time, and step on a Qantas plane to go home. The music, the smiling staff, everyone speaking with our accent - there's nothing like it. You're with your people and you're heading home. Enough to make a grown man sob!
I’m so proud to live in Australia 🇦🇺 and I’m proud and grateful to be an Australian today. Australia 🇦🇺 Is wonderful Country for people around the world to Live and Visit.
What an incredible video! Proud to be a loyal Qantas customer and an Australian. Was going to be hard to top the 'Feels like home' campaign and recent in-flight video, but you guys have done just that! 😊
this video is absolutely beautiful! I lived in Australia for four years and on my flight home to Brazil I watched this video on the plane. Tears came down on my face - Australia, you are just so amazing
@@tdb7992 you will need to refrain from smoking, since smoking on board the aircraft, is Haram (🚭), since we have installed smoke detectors in the aircraft.
This safety video is marvelous! one of the most beautiful i have ever seen. it almost make me cry, and i'm not even Australian. I'm Argentinian. i watched hundred of airines safety videos, and this one is in my Top 10! congrats
This is one of the greatest airline safety video. It gives me goosebumps. Showing the 100 years history of Qantas. I almost cry watching this, even I am not Australian…Well done Qantas!!!
More than just a Safety instruction, it’s a remarkable journey and inspiration. The spirit is surely here. I dropped some tears of proud before the video finished
This is probably one of the smartest and best safety video I have seen. Bevause you are getting all the safety info you need while also learning parts of Qantas history/Aussie Aviation. And just the Quality is amazing. I can tell that they put alot of effort into this.
