Damn, this comment is 11 years old, but I definitely resonate the same. It's kinda like Q-Bert=Beyonce and D-Styles is Jennifer Hudson. Hopefully you've been catching D-Styles's "practice" sessions recently. I can't believe he calls them practices when he's doing some technical crazy jazz-like shit smfh....underrated, Miles Davis of turntablism. Q, ain't no Kenny G tho lol
so dope to see 2 djs applying the same scratch techniques in 2 completely different ways...creating their own patterns and own flow out of it...today every dj u see online just copied the autobahn, boomerang and swing flares exactly the way they saw another dj do it... individual style is everything...

I'm an amateur, but that was very un-professional in my opinion. Because many people think that scrach is just " wacka wacka..." Scratch is the hardest way to manipulate a sample or a soundtrack. I hope Q and D-Styles told him something regarding this issue at the end of the showcase. I would! There is a time and place 4 everything even when freestylin' PEACE PLEASE!!!!
This is where the universe flipped the balance of hip hop. Old school MC doing his thing while the crowd just wants to see the djs jam out. MCs used to say my dj in the late 80s, then the djs had their own following and were saying my MC. And its 2020 now look what we have. Cars still dont fly and all the magic happens in aomeones bedroom then its acted out on stage.

Dam D-Styles had it here. He sounds alot nicer. But Q has his moments over D too. Do you think they were secretly competitive back then ? I think they try to play humble, but it gets to them sometimes right ?

if these guys made a video going against one another for 1 hour no holding back i would easily pay 1k for it. in the end i got dave over q. dave stylus is the fucting mr.clean of skratching
