QGD Exchange - A Good Line For Black

In this video you will get a line for black against the Queens Gambit Declined Exchange Variation. Black tries the very aggressive Bd6 and get's away with it and win quick and cool games against strong GM's. This is a theoretical part that fits very well with the full course on the Carlsbad Structure

This opening with Bd6 played Daniel Naroditsky in this Sensei Speedrun as white against a 2100-2200 rated opponent, in case someone wants to see a GM play the white side of this.

Thank you for this video. I have been trying to play the tartakower opening and always find my light square bishop is not involved so much in the middle/end game. But this opening which is similar looks like it will suit me better as it as clear attack options and creates more opportunities for my light square bishop. Thank you

I love this, it fits right into what I love to do from black to kings side. I love the knight moves from the queens side into the mix, so to speak.

Yeah a cool way to get out of the pin - just put a knight on g5!

I also love the bishop check, then knight d4, nice little trick for blitz/bullet. :)

Yes - u get that a lot in bullet - even had it in 'real blitz games'

Hello sir, I wanted to try this variation for couple of days but strangely nobody exchanges on d5 anymore. I guess white players watched the video as well. 🙂 Could you recommend some setup if white never exchanges?

Oh oh - serious stuff here. Yes we have to decide about the line in the normal variations. Big vote between: Lasker, Tartakower and Kramnik variations...

I have a recomendation for you, I like to play the Cambridge Springs variation, well founded but spicy. I came here to complement my repertoire with the exchange variation, I guess you need the other one.
