Dr. Jing, licensed acupuncturist and doctor of Oriental Medicine at TCM Healing Center, leads us through a simple yet powerful Qi Gong exercise called Shuai Shou Gong 甩手功。 Practicing 10 minutes of Shuai Shou Gong every day encourages healthy immune system function, helps stimulate proper metabolism, and brings peace of mind. The exercise increases the circulation of Qi/Energy and Blood through the 6 channels that run through both of the arms - namely, the Lung,Large Intestine, Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium, and San Jiao channels. Natural, relaxed movements of the arms and legs combined with deep breathing help to calm the mind and spirit, bringing about inner peace and harmony.
