Fred MacCauley made at least 2 jokes in the original episode, that Stephen and the panel missed entirely. One was about Brian Blessed, “What’s the fastest way to get BB to the top of Everest?” “Fill a balloon with hot air and tell him to climb the mountain.” Whooshed over everyone’s heads! (Too high, maybe?) Then Stephen goes on about the boiling point of water at various elevations. He asks what the biggest problem would be with boiling water in the Mariana Trench (hypothetically, from the standpoint of atmospheric pressure,) and Fred mutters, “Couldn’t get the fire started.” (Too low?) The absolute best part of this episode was watching Stephen miss the jokes.

Fred should of been on QI much more always hilarious and witty.
